“So many amazing gluten free options! The drinks were excellent as well—even the drip coffee was some of the best I’ve had in awhile. Pictured are the GF chocolate cupcake and the GF raspberry bar. They also have GF cinnamon rolls! Would love to come back when I visit again.“
“Hands down the best place to get food, be fed, &/or eat in all of Southeast Ohio. Frittatas & quiches are all-day fare. Their sweets are delicious & we'll balanced. Then there's the added bonus that Village Bakery & Cafe is a safe space!“
“Crumb's is a local favorite. They make great bread, pastries, crackers and more. I love the apricot rolls that have fresh apricot puree with sunflower seeds in them. I also like their multi-grain bread which has a consistently well-browned crust and an even crumb (pun intended). Good bakers!“
“Grocery go-to. I love kroger deals and couponing. I see the savings at the end of my trip and feel a rush. A comfortable and pleasurable place to shop. Love to see the fun clearance cheeses and also take a look at the clearance bake section. Reasonable prices, can find pretty much anything you need. Plus they have starburst c4.“
“Diamond in the rough. This is a little place that is good. My order was goofed, but it was so yummy I was thrilled. Bacon egg sandwich instead of sausage worked wonderfully. They were busy, so people are finding out about this wonderful place.“
“Came here for the first time after seeing it when passing through Nelsonville. Got the fudge brownie, a fresh fruit danish, a cream puff, and a cannoli. All of it was amazing, the danish was the best I’ve ever had. He’s very friendly and my family has enjoyed everything we’ve got. Would 100% recommend“
“So unbelievably happy we stopped into this bakery on our recent trip through Ohio!Don't let the size of their shop fool you-- The footprint may be small but their huge selection of breads, pastries, and panini sandwiches is exactly what you'd want from a place like this.We needed lunch, and after talking to who I believe is Tim, the head baker, my hubby and I took his recommendations and couldn't have been happier. My husband's name is Kevin, so he ordered "The Kevin," which is turkey, cheddar, house-made coleslaw, and pickles. He DEVOURED it! Then wanted another!I ordered "The Laurie," which is roasted beets, Laurel Valley cloverton cheese, black pepper, arugula, and a balsamic drizzle....People...! THIS is my new favorite sandwich of all time! It is so unique and refreshing and I am currently trying to recreate it at home! (I just need that BREAD!)I can't say enough great things about Athens Bread Company, and we can't wait to stop in again on our way from Michigan to Louisville in a few months. If you're in the Athens area, make it a point to stop and try something! Anything! Grab a loaf, a sandwich, and a bottle of flavored balsamic vinegar or oil..... I promise you won't be sorry! :)“
