“Food is quite delicious and the oysters the one's I consumed were fresh. Service is ok. Maybe a bit more friendly. I'm not a regular though. Ambiance is a bit distracting and different music can be a bit loud. I've only been there a few times. However I do continue to go back. Check it out for yourself. I would say it's worth it.“

“Great, and I mean great employees. Dano himself regularly greets customers and checks on their satisfaction. Lakeside is accurate as it is nestled on the Portage Lakes waterfront. Good drink selection, and great daily specials. The burgers are great, but the buns fall apart as soon as you pick them up. Warm weather is all about the patio and picnic tables. They do have an interior bar as well and they have flat screens everywhere. They also boast the best boat docks of all of the restaurants on PLX. Dano is the most involved owner I've ever encountered. The parking lot is cramped and situated on narrow or one way streets. Can be difficult to navigate on crowded days or after dark. When you get there, park with the intention to get out easily. You'll see what I mean when you get there. Definitely a great place on a nice day or to watch a game.“

“I found Lynn’s Bar off of the Facebook karaoke group in Akron. Being from out of town, I come out this way a few times a year and my wife and I enjoy a fun karaoke evening. I came in and felt welcomed instantly! Just like a regular. I had a great time with DJ Bob and all the regulars and a few other first timers. I dropped my change purse in the parking lot and a very nice gentleman came in and asked around about the car type in the parking lot next to him and I said it was mine asked if I had dropped the change purse and yes it was mine!!! Everything was in it along with all the money as well!! Both my husband and i thanked him multiple times cause there was stuff in it that had sentimental value to me and noone else!!! “It might be a conflict of interest for me to even rate this place because I was there in the beginning when the place opened its doors. It regardless I have to say that I enjoyed the food enough that I came an hour early each day that I worked so I could get a chance to order their food to eat before my shift started on those days. If you get a chance, try their steak named the "Eli". It's a huge Strip steak that's worth the price! The last time I was in there they still had half price appetizers on Saturday. If they still have them I recommend the stuffed banana peppers because they're delicious.Parking: Since it is not possible to add more parking to the existing parking lot the owner has permission to allow for people to park in a parking lot across Market Street instead.“

We just moved to area and tried several other places, not bad, but The Getaway is our new “corner bar” for drinks and great music. I like that this place is not huge, it's big enough to have a bite and hang out, but it's not too big that your server is overwhelmed.
