“I was looking for a good place to try afternoon tea and stumbled upon this restaurant. Asterisk has a very nice ambiance, with a dark academia look using books as menus and different pattern tea ware. You do not need a reservation to come here because there is a large shared table in the middle, but it is recommended for a smaller private table. The seats at the large table are very close together and personally do not want to be bumping elbows while I eat. The afternoon tea service was a joy. You can pick as many teas as you like and choose from a variety of finger sandwiches. The service is very good and the servers will explain anything on their menu that you need. The dinner menu has very nice options, but I was not entirely impressed with the flavor. I mainly come here for the atmosphere, but the food isn't terrible, just not amazing. Our waiter was wonderful he engaged with us, also kept checking in on us to make sure everything was up to standard. I had a reservation for 7:45 p.m, but I made a call and they were able to get me in at 7:15 p.m which was great due to them being really busy due to prom season. “This is a breakfast restaurant. So it's only open until 2:30pm. They serve organic food and interesting juice combinations. My favorite is the Trifecta. I get eggs, bacon, and a large Belgian waffle, all perfectly prepared and served on a large square plate. I also opted for a juice drink called a Mango Passion Palmer, a combination of mango and passion fruit juices with green tea with a lemon wedge. It was quite good. This is a good family restaurant with a selection that should appeal to kids as well.“

The biscuits, split and butter-grilled before being smothered, showcased their attention to detail. And to top it off, their homemade mild chorizo was absolutely delicious! “Old school home town diner feel, with high quality food! You will notice the sign on the door paraphrasing, "if you are impatient and expect food immediately, this is not the place for you.". The food may take a bit to come out to you, but it does NOT disappoint! I discovered this hole in the wall not too long ago, and have been back several times. My co-workers also sharing the same great feedback. Super friendly staff (including the Cooks) and Delicious desserts. “Wednesday nite we went an hour before closing. We were worried that it may be too late, but they said to come on in. I ordered a Kansas City burger, junior sized. Even tho it was JUNIOR, it was huge. I took home leftovers. Meat is cooked to order and the fries are fresh cut, similar to fair fries. My husband ordered similar, but no leftovers for him. We had several drinks from the bar, they have specialty drinks and beer. We love this place, its on the square in Galena and easy parking.“

Ask for the homemade hot sauce, it’s legit.The Eggs Benedict is ok. The sauce needs more acidity - add more lemon! It’s smooth and buttery but under seasoned. My daughter had the Big Bite and enjoyed it. It’s a good portion of food.The buttered toast is delicious.Overall, the hash browns needed seasoning. I had them add onions and cheese to the hash browns. I think a little cook on the onions would have made them perfect.It’s someplace I would return to but I’d try something different.The service was excellent. Our waitress was kind.“

I'm a bit of a connoisseur and there's is one of the best. I ordered what was supposed to be a grilled romaine but it was hardly grilled. I got prosciutto and pancetta confused. Thought I was getting prosciutto but got pancetta -- my fault but I wasn't crazy about the salad as a result. We will try it again, and order differently!“

I do believe that's too much for what you get. Should definitely be $2.50 especially compared to other places. It was very small, lettuce, tomatoes, cheese and croutons. “We had to wait an hour but there was a small "playground" just outside for my toddlers to entertain themselves while we waited. The waiter was very charismatic. The food was the best ever and we tried 5 different cheesecakes which all were 10/10. We will go back one day (we live 2 hours away from the closest one sadly) they were worth the travel and wait.“

My husband's steak was great except both of his sides were COLD. Not lukewarm but cold. Our server was amazing and took care of it and brought hot fries out for him. He also had broccolini as a side which looked like it had been cooked last week and just thrown in the dish. The dessert was ok. The hazelnut bread pudding was kind of dry and lukewarm although it was still acceptable. “I finally made it to all 3 Pastimes Pub & Grills in Columbus!! Pastimes is by far my favorite sports bar in Columbus. Their drinks are consistent and food is by far the best bar food around. They have Bingo on Tuesday, Trivia on Wednesday and Opinion something on Thursdays. It is like family feud and trivia combined. It's pretty fun. Today, I went to trivia and got the best daily special, the Grilled Cheese and Tomato Basil Bisque. It is AMAZING and by far the best thing on the menu minus the wings.
