“The Towpath Tavern is a very clean, nicely appointed place to eat and drink in historic downtown Bolivar. The wait staff was very friendly. The food items that we ordered were very average for a "bar". It was just kind of "food", if you know what I mean.I would go back when in the area. Summer offers a large outdoor seating area.Vegetarian options: Typical no-meat options.“

“Wanted to try something new after Ragon House (wasn't on their suggestions list) and lunch was awesome! No waiting (maybe because we were the first ones in at 11am and I felt bad for being those people), great service, and our chicken ranch wrap w/ fries and rueben w/ fries were some of the best we ever had! Definitely an older bar setting but the bar and bathroom were cleaner than other in town places, and that's what matters. Definitely will go back when in Bolivar again.“

“We’ve been here twice in the last three weeks. This place is quite a surprise being that it’s a small building and in an odd location. Sally was our server both times. She is amazing and brings sunshine to any day. The food is hands-down some of the best I’ve ever had, try this place you will not be sorry. I do recommend reservations“

“I loved this place! If you like Greek food, you have to visit Athens Restaurant. Our server, Tasha, was amazing! I will definitely go back to Athens for the Greek coffee, gyro platter, and Greek cookies. Fast, friendly, and fun! Do yourself a favor and visit Athens soon!“

“Just ate here for dinner for the first time. We had an awesome experience. We ordered from all over the menu and there wasn’t any item we didn’t enjoy. The beers were amazing, as well. The icing on the cake was the service. We had the most attentive server, I wish we would’ve caught her name. Other staff stopped by our table and made sure we had evening we needed. “Very friendly staff, delicious bbq. The homemade chips are just ok on their own but they are FANTASTIC if you get them loaded with brisket. We also had their shredded pork, beans, coleslaw and Mac n cheese. All very delicious. It’s definitely a sweet bbq sauce but we loved it.“

“This place has the best wings in the area and it’s not very close but they also have other phenomenal stuff to eat as well, like any of their appetizers are delicious.The employees are also the best in the area. I never have an empty cup because they are great on making sure your drink is always filled. So I just want to say I have never had a bad time at Old timers, only good times.“

“Fantastic little dive bar in Dover, Ohio. According to my friend who grew up here, it hasn't changed since the 1990's. A true time capsule, from the 1990's price list on the wall to the cash only policy. Great beer and shot joint with a few craft beer selections on hand. Didn't sample the food, but it's available. If you are a fan of the not fancy establishment, this place is worth a visit.“

“Brought my wife here for our anniversary. So glad i did! Food, drinks, and service was amazing. My wife had a filet and i had the chops. Both were soooooo tender and flavorful. To drink i had cranberry mules and she had expresso martinis, again both were great! Highly recommend this place for any occasion. Thank you Malcuits for a great anniversary dinner.“
