I stopped by the Lindner cafe in the beautiful Taft museum. The setting was airy and elegant, with plenty of comfortable seating. The menu is small and served from a tiny kitchen so your choices will be limited. I tried a bowl of the soup of the day - lentil miso and it was tasty. The lentils were cooked perfectly, but some bread would've been appreciated. I had a basic salad and it was also okay, though it didn't need the raw onions and some of lettuce pieces were mushy. Absolutely delicious and great service (a like slow due to staffing issues. We dined outside on a beautiful summer day. Vichyssoise was outstanding and quiche Lorraine was delicious. The Chardonnay was a perfect complement.

Table service by Noctis was very good, and fun. Our chicken salad and croissant sandwiches were beautiful and delicious. Chicken and rice soup was hot and tasty. Super soft jazz music and quiet atmosphere was what I'd like at every restaurant!! We'll be back for art AND food. The African Sunrise green tea was incredible . Thank you Noctis.
