Best dive bar in Cincinnati but I may be biased because it's my neighborhood bar. Everyone is friendly and usually ready to chat. Bar is basic but solid and the bartenders know their stuff. Super affordable but it is cash only. Come and say hi, I will probably be at the bar.
I'm totally digging Vogue Cafe Inc! It's basically everything you want in a dive bar. They have a pool table and darts in the back room, and a great outdoor covered patio. The tables outside followed through with the theme, covered in Vogue magazine pictures. My favorite part of the night was that everyone seemed to be selecting super-sexy R&B jams all night which definitely added to the mood of the room :) It's cash only, but they have an ATM if you forget. When you are looking for a small friendly inexpensive bar to flop down and kill some time in, this would be a good choice. There is absolutely nothing fancy here, but the prices are very reasonable, and apparently if you're a regular you you can help the ladies tote the cases of beer up from storage. One pool table, two dart boards, one juke box, one TV. And people open to conversation with strangers. Diverse crowd. Fun place.
