I enjoyed all the food except the cross-bridge rice noodles. To me, cross-bridge rice noodles are supposed to have really oily and heavy chicken broth as soup base. The heavy chicken broth not only give cross-bridge rice noodles its rich flavor and creamy texture, but also helps keep the noodle warm (enough to cross the bridge. That's exactly why it's named like that). This on the other hand, is more like a regular rice noodles, just served in a heated pot. The taste is not bad though, it's just not reaching my standards of cross-bridge rice noodles, sorry.

“I've been to this Chinese restaurant several times before, and this time came here on Saturday night with my family for dinner, as my most recent visit. The food here is delicious and pretty authentic, with a great selection as well. (I especially love their West Lake Beef Soup, would highly recommend!) The restaurant atmosphere is a bit outdated but still clean, and the service is good. The staff here are nice to customers, including the waitresses, who did a good job taking our food orders and serving. Overall this restaurant seems like a good place to eat at, and we will be coming back soon to enjoy more!“

“This is a treasure. Three of us, with a total of 12 years spent in China, ordered a small banquet: steamed fish, stir fred vegetables, varied preparations of beef, pork, shrimp, and tofu. I bought two Shrimp Egg Rolls, thinking they would be like the place I used to go to on Libby and Warrensville. To my surprise, I could only eat one and the shrimp were so large and delicious. “The best Chinese food I had in a loooooooong time! I mean takes me back to childhood! 100% AUTHENTIC CHINESE FOOD! The rice 10/10, lo mein 10/10 egg foo young 10/10 and we get everything veggie no meat! My favorite Chinese restaurant !! If you want some old school tasting food this the place to go!

Vegetarian options: Anything on the menu can be vegetarian except dumplings, crab ragoon and stuff like that but you can get veggie fried rice, veggie lo mein, veggie egg foo young veggie egg rolls and they even have general TSO’s tofu which is really good!“

“Mostly delivery and take out but there are a couple tables so you can eat in the restaurant. Food is of reasonably good quality and well prepared. But, not the best Chinese food available but less expensive than the restaurants in the Asian neighborhood of Cleveland.

I have been eating here for decades and have consumed hundreds of meals at this restaurant. Overall I do recommend this restaurant for a quick, good value, made to order meal.“

“A hidden gem just around the corner from Cleveland's Asia Town neighborhood! Good prices for the large portions of excellent, fresh food. Very friendly service, and the staff are clearly well-liked and respected by local residents. Another great plus is that they're open late. I got the spicy beef noodle soup which was huge and delicious and the scallion pancakes which were a little greasy but super crispy and tasty. “My family and I have eaten here since I was a child (I’m 34 now). I can count on two fingers the number of times we don’t enjoy the food here (hey, everyone has an off night or two). They get our order right every single time and our food is always ready within 20 minutes no matter how big. And the menu is inexpensive?? Can’t ask for much better than that. The staff can be curt at times but they mean well they’re just busy busting out great food at a rapid pace! The restaurant does look kinda beat which is why I gave the atmosphere 3 stars. The sweet and sour chicken has a nice crisp to it, the rice is great and their wonton soup is always delicious and hearty. It’s not the best looking place, but in a world full of smoke and mirrors, I’d rather be here than any other Asian restaurant in the greater Cleveland area.“

“This place literally never disappoints. My husband and I order from here regularly and every single item I’ve ordered has been amazing. The honey chicken is both of our favorites though and is something not found on a lot of Chinese menus. This has become our regular Chinese restaurant at this point. I’d give this place more than 5 stars if I could. My only complaint is that they’re not open everyday although that’s probably a good thing for my waistline.“

“We ordered delivery and they fulfilled the order promptly and accurately. Fried rice was solid and the meal box had a good amount of food. Main complaint was that the orange chicken sauce wasn't particularly flavorful -- needed more peel in there, maybe? -- but I would happily order again if I'm ever in the area.“

“Yi Er Chuan is owned by the same family that runs Szechuan Gourmet (one of our favorite Chinese restaurants of all time) so we were excited to give it a try. The food, however, was actually a bit hit or miss. The tomato hotpot base was jam packed with flavor and umami richness and was hands down one of the best I've ever tasted, the vegetables and shredded beef were fresh, and the portion sizes were great value for the money. On the other hand, the dried tofu and the scallion pancake had a slightly off flavor, as if they were cooked with old oil or stored improperly. Moreover, while the signature malatang soup base was nutty and sufficiently spicy and numbing (especially when ordered at the "extra spicy" level!), it was also lacking in depth of flavor, and was boring to eat after a while. Maybe it would have been improved by a dipping sauce. The restaurant interior was clean but otherwise unremarkable, the waitstaff were exceptionally prompt and friendly, and the online touchpad ordering system was super convenient. Overall, this would be a great restaurant to bring newbies to introduce them to the concept of hotpot (since you don't need to worry about doing your own cooking), and we would come back, but it doesn't take the place of the original Szechaun Gourmet or some of the other "do it all yourself" hotpot restaurants in town.

Vegetarian options: Per the waitstaff, all soup bases are vegetarian. There are also a lot of vegetable and tofu options for hotpot or dry pot or stir fry.

Parking: Some limited parking in front of the store, lots of street parking on adjacent roads a block or two away.“

“My favorite Chinese hole in the wall. They make many things home made and not just from frozen products. I've had talks with them about such I love the wife that I see most often she always remembers my extra hot mustard packets and is very sweet. Family owned and operated. Never disappoints. “Well there prices have gone WAY up but on top of that on the weekends they want to charge you an additional 18% they say there open until 9pm I was there at 810 pm the doors were locked what a bunch of lies I dove 43 miles for that but rest assured going back will be hard because I went to Boo Long up the street what a pleasant surprise they also close at 9pm but welcomed me in at 835 been going to Me Wah and king Wah for YEARS but am now rethinking it“
