“I usually order Local West once a week for pick up. Great food at reasonable prices, a good selection of options like sandwiches and burgers. I love the Voodoo chicken sandwich - one of the best in the city, in my opinion. Truly a nice little staple in the Gordon Square area.“
“Kat was our server and did an excellent job. In our party, some ordered sushi rolls, hibachi and sashimi. Everything was very tasty. They even brought out some samples of other sushi rolls for us to try. We went during lunch, and there is a nice variety of specials offered. We would eat there again.“
“Stopped in for a drink and a sandwich. Bar was busy. Employees are efficient and pleasant. The establishment was tidy. Food and drinks were tasty and reasonably priced. Tipped server over 20%.Vegetarian options: Pierogies.Parking: Large enough for small neighborhood bar/restaurant.“
“We went for an early dinner at 4pm to celebrate my husband's birthday. In retrospect, that was the best time to go because the restaurant is not overcrowded or noisy and we just wanted a quiet celebration. Our server was very friendly and efficient and the food was excellent. It had been a while since we were at this location, but will plan to go back much sooner since we rediscovered it.“
“Very pleased with the food and service. Went for happy hour and did a mix of happy hour and regular priced food and drink. All were great. The prices weren't bad for either. Good, strong cocktails, decent beer menu, and a mix of food offerings. The frites are enough to feed a family of four and SO GOOD! The burger was also a big hit with my party. The staff was all very friendly and attentive in a perfect amount - no hovering but they were there when we needed them. The space itself is very inviting, bright and open, and the patio looked like a great place to relax. This is a hidden gem in the Detroit Shoreway neighborhood. We'll definitely be back!“
“Went out with another couple for a date night and had a great time. The food was fantastic! We ordered a Chicken Quesadilla and their Chicken & Waffles. There is so much flavor in everything, including the sauces/syrup! Service was also phenomenal. I ordered a margarita after dinner and was not disappointed. All of their syrups and juices are made fresh in-house.My favorite part about this place is the variety of activities there are. They have pool, cornhole, bowling, an arcade, board games, and more. The arcade is small, but with so much to do, it doesn't matter much. Also, there are super cute photo ops scattered throughout the restaurant. The only downfall about the night is that we didn't have enough time to do everything. We will definitely be back soon!“
“I was greeted and welcomed upon entering this awesome restaurant presumably the owner. I was presented my table in the lounge area and I thought I found a gem … a good eatery. I must say that the restaurant was beautifully decor’d with a pleasant atmosphere, soft music, food was delicious, and the service was excellent! Well, it didn’t start off that way. It took about 8-10 minutes to even be noticed and get a glass of water. It happens, I guess. Upon noticing their mistake, I was catered to throughout my visit to ensure I was completely satisfied … and I was! The owner stopped by several times and even offered a glass of good French wine as an apology but I hospitable declined … I was still the clock per se. The waitress was very apologetic, nice, and friendly. If you’re in for a great meal and great people to serve you … please stop by! I highly recommend this establishment for a good meal and enjoyable time.“
“I never realized how awesome this place was until air stopped in and gave it another try. The new owner is awesome! She works her a$$ off to make sure everyone is taken care of! The food is really good, drinks are cold and quick, and the atmosphere is electric. I will definitely be making this place a more frequent stop. It's definitely worth the detour!!“
“The food was mediocre but filling and the drinks are overpriced IMO.However, the Drag Brunch was so much fun! I would definitely go back,I would also love to try the Drag Bingo. The entertainers were a lot of fun! Very engaging and Monica Lexin was top notch as a hostess!“
“Our server ,Jess was very sweet ,helpful and friendly. We happen upon this place just by accident. We are very glad that we did. The food was very good very reasonable. I got the BLT with fries and my husband got the beef Wellington pierogies and it was less than $50. Everything on the menu is local. And they tell you so on the menu where it came from.“
“My family and I have been enthusiastic old river tap and social fans since the day it opened! There were a few months recently that it seemed events were prioritized over regular customers and then menu changed for the worse…But now!! Mike and Randy at the bar are an INCREDIBLE duo. It’s turned around significantly and reminds me of how it was when it opened. The service is always amazing… Mike and Randy have incredible drink suggestions… and it is truly the best place to be again! Thank you Mike and Randy! It’s a pleasure to have such life back in my favorite bar and to know customers are prioritized again! Can’t wait to be there alllll summer on the patio! Cheers!“
“The Rowley Inn is a genuine dive with panache. The Rowley Inn has been long standing next to a Christmas Story House and Museum, so it has its fair share of foot traffic for being tucked away as it is. The food is epically phenomenal, with dishes native to cleveland that can only be found here due to other closers since 2020. Don't forget to pair it with a locally brewed cold draught.Parking: Parking is along the street as it's tucked away in a neighborhood.Wheelchair accessibility: There is no wheel chair accessibility“
