“Usually friendly service, I'm not sure if the waitress was having an off day but I sat for 15 minutes before I was even asked if I was waiting on anyone or wanted a drink. I ordered an appetizer and it took 20 minutes. 3 couples who came in after me have already been served. I told her I wanted to order and she disappeared. I asked on the status of my appetizer when she reappeared and she said that takes 10 minutes. I said okay, it was at least 15 minutes ago. So far I've been here at least 35 minutes and have just ordered my pizza at 2:08pm. My pizza didn't arrive until 2:32 . The food is good but the service certainly doesn't match. I think in the future we will frequent another location.“

“This was my first experience. I was so impressed I told my friends and family. This place really does deserve the crowd because the food and atmosphere are 1st class. Our daughters enjoyed the kids' spaghetti which came with a homemade meatball that was simply delicious. The portion size was generous, and we were impressed by the quality of the ingredients. “This place is massively slept on. It is legitimately the best sub shop in Mahoning or Trumbull County. The quality, and flavor is unmatched. The closest comparison I've ever had is Wario's in downtown Columbus. The Big Dave, Club, and Chicken Parmesan are my recommendations.“

“I was in the mood for breakfast this morning & traveled to the Thano’s Family Restaurant in Canfield, Ohio. I was told that they have an amazing breakfast, I was not disappointed. When i arrived, I was warmly greeted by the hostess. She asked my seating preference (table, counter or booth), and seated me quickly. She adjusted the table & positioned it for my comfort, then checked the table to make sure I had everything I need for my meal. My waitress was over quickly & brought me a nice, hot cup of coffee. She was super friendly & pleasant, she then went over the menu with me. I made the selection of the Everything Omelet with a side home fries & white toast. A few minutes later my breakfast was brought to my table nice & hot. I must say the omelet was proper, lots of meat & the home fries were perfect. The atmosphere was very relaxed & calm, made for an enjoyable experience. Plus the cost of my entire meal was good, it certainly didn’t break the bank. I really enjoyed my dining experience here & I will definitely be returning in the future. If you love a proper breakfast, this is the place for you.“

I'm not sure what her deal is, or if it's just me, but I don't appreciate being made to feel like I'm bothering the cashier just by walking up to order.A word to the wise: as far as I can tell, the chicken is dark meat, and can sometimes not be trimmed as well as it should be. Almost every order has a few inedible or extremely fatty pieces, and I've come across several small pieces of bone and connective tissue over the many times I've eaten here. I don't know if they break down the meat in house or if it's shipped ready to cook, so I can't really fault them for it, but it's still a little off-putting.Despite these two issues, I do actually really enjoy Sarku Japan and it's pretty much the only place I go when I'm craving some Asian or teriyaki goodness. I highly recommend it. If you happen to be perusing the mall or just in the Boardman area, give it a try.“

Don't let the simple and plain interior fool you. Wonderful food and amazing prices. Stopped in for lunch and had the Shrimp Egg Foo Yong. Came with hot tea, fried rice and wonton soup. Delicious! Very nice portion for the total cost of $8.56. I live over the border in PA and I will definitely return for lunch or dinner when I'm in the area. Forget the abysmal Chinese buffet down the street, stop at House of China instead. You don't be disappointed“
