“This place hands down has the best cocktails. It’s where I would go if I’m looking to just have one really good drink. The service gets 3 stars only because it’s a super popular place and they could do with more bartenders! But the folks who have served me and my friends have always been very nice and knowledgeable!! 100% recommend this place if you haven’t been!!“

“My husband and I visited The Forge Tavern and were blown away! The art work outside prepares you for the atmosphere you get inside...a whimsical fantasy tavern with absolute class and fun! Connor served us, and kept us FULLY entertained. It's wonderful to see a passion and a job come together! There is a good variety of board games to play, and you can bring your own as well! The drink selection is extensive, and they have mocktails! We both enjoyed our drinks and the pretzel bites. They have a cool merch section as well!We couldn't stick around for long but we will DEFINITELY be back!“

“Food and service were both great -- burgers, fries, Brussels sprouts, mac& cheese, shakes, and drinks. Should have asked for the gluten-free bun to be toasted but it was good. DJ was a fun bonus. Would definitely return next time we're in the area.“

“Have always been a fan of SOH-specifically the mac and cheese. But recently we had SOH cater our wedding reception. The food was DELICIOUS, just as good as in the restaurant, if not better, and everybody loved it!! To top it off, we worked with Danny who was super nice and answered all of my silly questions leading up to the event. 10/10 would recommend.“

“Great setting to host metal bands. Had no issues booking and playing here. Very chill and welcoming…for sure will be going back. Also, parking isn’t bad and loading in as a band isn’t bad. Both of which tend to be usually rare with these types of places so that was a major plus for sure.“

The Ohio Taproom Bar • $
1291 W 3rd Ave, Columbus

“Fitting place for the Columbus Ale Trail's home base. Great selection of brews on tap from local Central Ohio breweries. Small and cozy taproom. I feel like I'm in someone's basement. Surprisingly busy on a Sunday afternoon. Felt like a lot of locals in the bar. One small TV; so it's not the best place to watch the game. The bartender was cranking out drinks keeping everyone's glass full. They've been open for 9 years, surprisingly. I'll be back as I still have friends attempting to complete the Ale Trail.“

“Where to begin, well I know where: our beautiful server: Angela. She’s been compared to an effervescent light in this dark and gloomy world which we are subjected to reside in. She carries herself with grace and elegance, floating over the thin-planked oak flooring with an angelic presence - fitting that her name is just one letter away from Angel! She took the time to understand our palates, the combinations of sweet, salty, sour, bitter, umami that we preferred and recommended the basket of zucchini. I had no words, it was simply divine. I cannot recommend this establishment enough and it shall be decreed a crime to visit the OSU area without a visit to this glorious brewpub. At the end of the day, no material items can quite compare to the way that relationships are fostered and nurtured in these 4 walls. You may walk strangers, maybe even enemies, but you will leave friends (or maybe lovers).“

Whistle & Keg Brewery •
343 N Front St #125, Columbus

“No food at this location. It's a pretty cool place to go for a variety of beer though. 50 different taps to pick from. You serve yourself. You get a card that you tap under the beer tap. It keeps track of you're ounces you consume and then you pay at the end. They had cool signs giving ideas to mix very taps and make a new flavor. I swear the Maple Waffle and the French toast stout was like breakfast in a glass. ♥️ So good! Plus it's part of the DORA.“
