“Their Onion Rings are too die for!!! Just add a little salt and wow!Their standard hamburger is amazing. I like the Jr Hamburg with everything, light on the mustard. My family finds the Jr Hamburg best because of the ratio of bun to burger. The California Fizz is a great drink,I don't live near them, rather a few hours away, so whenever it isn't too far out of our way to stop by we do. I always get extra sandwiches and onion rings for the next day, or to bring to whoever I an visiting.Everything is still great reheated. You can go microwave or oven.Kid-friendliness: You eat in your car, so you can do whatever you want in thereWheelchair accessibility: You eat in your car.“
“The burgers here are amazing. They have tons of flavor and are cooked completely fresh off the grill. So many options to choose from. I also highly recommend the loaded tots. My favorite is the spicy tots or the loaded tots. The guy working at the front is very nice and respectful.“
“Visited Norton Oh Wendy's and the young lady taking order was rude and impatient after I had waited at the speaker for over 10 minutes for her to take my order...I left and went to the Montrose-Fairlawn Wendy's and the staff were all wonderful. Such a wonderful experience after the poor service at Norton.“
“I drove 1135 miles from Florida and I had to stop at Swensons before I saw my family. I got the Galley Boy and onion rings. Before I even had a chance to put the car in park an employee was right there to take my order. It was ready in just a few minutes and brought right out. The 2 sauces on the burger are a perfect combination. I don’t get too many chances to get into Ohio but I always stop at Swensons.“
“Our next DIS Local Spotlight takes us right into the heart of Downtown Akron to DeJuan's Downtown AkronDeJuans is located at 1 W Exchange St Ste 100 in Akron Ohio and is occupying the building that formally housed Bricco. There is also a Valet service available for $7.DeJuan’s was realized in a time of need, a need for a turkey pepperoni pizza. Founder and Owner, De’Juan Kelker was in search of a turkey pepperoni pizza and to his disbelief, local pizza shops did not offer turkey pepperoni. He was stirred to open a restaurant that would serve those with selective palates and diets and offer ALL TURKEY EVERYTHING. The unique concept made way for him to acquire the Downtown property, once frequented by many locals, and continue his personal preference of fine dining.DeJuan's is also making history with becoming Akrons very first black-owned fine-dining restaurant. To say I was excited to try this restaurant was an understatement. Let's get into it.First off the decor, aesthetic and atmosphere are breathtaking. Large glass windows look out onto the city while inside you're surrounded by brick and open industrial ceiling. The space gives vibes of upscale yet accessible without ever being pretentious. The color scheme is black and white which is just elegant enough. The space is also lit very well which I appreciate. The staff is out of this world. DeJuans may just have some of the best service in the country and that's not hyperbole. From greeting us at the front door, to our server Diamond who was world class, the experience was perfect. Our drinks never got less than half empty and Diamond gave excellent recommendations and made sure our experience was one of a kind. There was also a party of maybe 12 people behind us and he gave them the same kind of service. Very impressive. For starters we got the Turkey Chop Bites and the Southern Fried Green Tomatoes.Turkey Chop Bites are pieces of turkey breast that are cut up and then lightly battered and fried. When I tell you my mouth is STILL watering from these things. So insanely juicy and crunchy. They would be good as a Po Boy or in a wrap but they were great by themselves. The Fried Green Tomatoes were also perfectly fried and topped with a shrimp salad that was really tasty. Diamond recommended we try it with hot sauce and that was the right move. For Mains we got the NY Strip and the Turkey Burger. The steak was cooked perfectly and was seasoned so well with salt, pepper and garlic butter. It was so tender and cut like butter. The taste from the grill was also extremely flavorful. There's not much more to say because it was literally perfect. The Turkey Burger was a surprise. Given the size of the patty I expected it to be on the dry side. I was pleasantly surprised it was not dry at all. Beautifully seasoned and complimented by the garlic Aioli and the sweetness of the caramelized onions, this burger was DELICIOUS. I could definitely see myself ordering this again. For dessert I got a slice of cheese cake and figured it would just be a normal slice you get anywhere.Guys... It's not. They take a slice of delicious cheesecake and then they blow-torch the outside so it creates like this crust on the exterior. That process kind of softens the cheesecake and makes it almost melty and creamy. LORD HAVE MERCY. I almost ordered another one. So simple yet so amazing.Folks.. if you haven't noticed by now, I don't know what else to say. DeJuans lives up to the hype. It's worth every penny and more. This is one of those places that I'm truly hoping you make reservations and try as soon as you can. Not only is it important for us to support black owned businesses, but it's important we support GOOD businesses as well. Trust me. I won't steer you wrong.“
“BRING CASH (or check)!!! Whitey's Burgers and Booze is well known for NOT taking credit cards. There is an ATM on site. But do NOT let that stop you from coming. Just be prepared!Whiteys has been here for seventy years! Which is a tremendous testimony. The food was very good comfort food! And the prices were fantastic! Burgers and sandwiches were around $11 to $14. Seems like every restaurant believes they make a burger that is worth $20. The three of us had a total bill of $50 and that was with two drinks!!!!My son had a burger and I ordered the foot long chili dog. They are well known for their chili... and for good reason! I also had a long island iced tea that I can tell them did not skimp on!I have been here several times before and have enjoyed my meal every time.Add Whiteys to your plans, just don't forget to bring cash!“
“Great place for breakfast. I had the Sunrise, eggs, sausage, home fries. This was the special. With coffee, total came to $9.07. That is a deal. Food was good and service attentive. Had my coffee refilled numerous times. One of my favorite local breakfast places.Parking: Limited parking in the back. If busy, you will have to park on the street. If very busy, this can be a block away.“
“Zayne and his family are top notch. The food is always fresh, and delicious. Definitely one of our favorite places to eat. We were so excited when we found out they were bringing back one of our favorite subs from another restaurant that went out of business. We highly recommend the Houdini sub.“
“It's always a great place to eat, on this particular day we went, they were very few people working. They were working on a skeleton crew and it was pack. Never the less the gentleman that was sitting people was doing and impressive and amazing job.He was the hostess, he was the waiter, he was also the bass boys. He made it seem like there was multiple waiter's because he was able to keep up with all the tables. Obviously the kitchen staff must of been slammed as well and the bartender so I thank all the stuff for being so good at their jobs.We wanted to let this person that serve us that he was doing a great job so my wife and I wrote him a note on the ticket and left him a 60% tip.Kudos to all the staff!“
