“A huge shoutout to the staff at Hot Chicken Takeover in Lewis Center. Andrew, Ashley and Olva went way out of their way to accommodate my desire for a large batch of banana pudding for my son's birthday. I usually only like my Southern homemade from scratch but today was going to be one event and activity after the other and not enough time in the day. So knowing they have it on the menu, I talked to the manager who said we can make this happen and he could put a larger order in my provided trifle dishes. Came back today and the result was fantastic. They made it look beautiful. (And, of course, I like their chicken and their collard greens) Thanks again! “1st time here, went inside and cashier Lilli was the best! She gave me recommendations, suggested the mac & cheese and she was correct that it was delicious! The plain chicken salad on a croissant was delicious as well!It was clean inside, the staff was courteous and all the food that I saw (other patrons) looked appetizing! My only critique (not criticism) would be to put a little more chicken salad on the croissant (a little too much empty space around the edges of the bread), but not a dealbreaker!I will definitely be a repeat customer here!“
“Great experience, not a lot of new offerings style wise but what they do they do really well. Everything we've had had been great, love the honey chicken and the spare rib dinner. Don't miss the happy hour specials! Great service as “
“If you want "Nashville Hot" style chicken then absolutely give this place a try. The "Warm" spice level is just a little hotter than regular "Buffalo Wings" (traditionally made with Frank's Red Hot" and are probably just right for folks who want spicy, but not pain. If you're a chili head, or thrill seeker, then you'll want a higher spice level. The place was nice and clean, the temperature inside pleasant, and the assistant manager who helped me at the counter was very pleasant and friendly. If you're looking for more affordable prices then try the M-W $10 lunch special. The only reason that I didn't give 5 stars is that some of the prices, especially the $3.50 for coleslaw or $3 for a soda are just too damn high. I can't accept any place charging $3 for a fountain drink when it's essentially ten cents worth of corn syrup + water. And $3.50 for coleslaw? Why? Cabbage is known for being cheap, it's what you eat when you're too poor to afford something else.Normally coleslaw is something that just comes with a meal, not something you pay extra for?Anyway, sign up for the app, save $5, and give it a try - who knows, maybe you'll love it and maybe you'll find the side prices to be worth it.“
“The food was very good. I got the boneless chicken breast with the Holy"#+@*%?" heat level and was not disappointed. That level of heat is not for anyone who doesn't want to lose feeling in their face, lol. They have everything from regular no heat up to the highest level, "Unholy"!! I won't even consider trying the "Unholy" as the "Holy" was incredibly hot and the highest I ever need to go. I've been to other "hot" chicken restaurants in the central Ohio area and was unpleasantly let down. They just lacked the heat I'm looking for, the portions were small, the price was high, and the taste was lacking. Hot Chicken Takeover was everything that the others were not. The portions were great and the price was good too. I have found my Hot Chicken restaurant in central Ohio and will be returning soon.“
“Came here from an hour away, puts the Mansfield Cracker Barrel to shame. Tastes how Cracker Barrel should taste and they actually seat you without a 1+ hour wait at your table for service here. Only downside was servers changing shifts and no one being assigned to our table towards the end of us being there.Vegetarian options: Vegetables, might be cooked in meat though.“
“When you're looking for a traditional diner, this is definitely it. My boys and I love going here because they have breakfast food and in the afternoons they have Mexican food. This is the very traditional diner that you can go and enjoy lunch at the counter. Or stop in with friends and/or family and sit at 1 of the tables.“
