“Kid-friendliness: This is kid friendly with paper cups and kid menus and all kinds of stuff. Would definitely recommend.Wheelchair accessibility: The food was great the waiter Jessica was amazing, there's hood prices great food and there's all accessibility to wheelchairs walkers and that.“
“The owner spent alot of time studying English pubs . I've spent alot of time in English pubs and this is pretty close . It's a cross between a pub and resturant . It definitely has a proper pub atmosphere to it and I definitely enjoyed it. I had the fish and chips which were definitely a good representation as close as I've had in the usa . If you're in the Salem Ohio area stop in .“
“Went here for a Labor Day Weekend show this past Saturday night. The Youngstown Cowboys were phenomenal! 3 piece band formed in 2020 as a result of lockdown. They are the best thing to hit the stage in this area! It was my first visit to the flying pig, and it did not disappoint!! Such a great atmosphere! Go check it out! I will be back for sure.“
“The best bartenders in the region. These are two guys passionate about their jobs and even dress the part. The food is consistently good and the servers work as hard as the bartenders. This is fast becoming one of our favorites in Salem. But to be fair, there are many wonderful restaurants in Salem. The small town is loaded with great lunch and dinner locations.“
“It would be a 5. The issue is you never know if the food will be awesome or less than average. Let me also add I made a small request about cooking the food through and the waitress said he always does. That is not acceptable for an answer.PLUS IT WAS NOT COOKED ALL THE WAY THROUGH !“
“My girlfriend and I are from out of town. We stopped here for lunch. The atmosphere, service, and food was amazing. Abby was a great host and the food was done perfectly. I loved the blast furnace hot sauce. It's great to actually fine a great tasting sauce that bites the tongue. Highly recommend!“
“HEY MADDIE PENFOLD!Based upon your 1/2 hour to possibly 1 hour visit to Bob Evan’s that day, I wouldn’t be playing Monday morning quarterback.I could slam your friend Karen (justly named) but instead I’ll just take care of you.Obviously YOU stated YOU are not a manager. Therefore , YOU can’t say squat about your neighbors yard. If it’s so easy and you know so much then why aren’t you managing? You should know, that managers can’t be everywhere all at once since their duties are numerous.Beings that Emily has made it further in life than you at age 21 does not mean you need put young people down.Instead of talking smack about our young people who are out there trying to start their lives, maybe you should have talked to Emily and offered her your “expertise” instead. You know, teach instead of knocking down.Perhaps your friend Karen needs some of your serving advice so that she could make manager and get Emily’s wage.Pretty sad when you write a review based upon that one visit about a girl who works her butt off and makes manager at 19 while also going to college and living on her own.Remember folks - there’s 2 sides to every story and then there’s the truth.Maddie Penfold needs to stay in her lane until she can compete.“
“This place is such a cute small town vibe, but nothing about the food is down played. The pictures truly don't do this Salem, OH fan favorite justice. The flavor was impeccable & portion sizes were adequate. I had the turkey pot pie (a seasonal item) that was to die for! The Italian sausage sandwich was hearty & delicious while the fried pickles were the perfect bite each time: they got an 8 on my personal fried pickle rating - which is pretty darn good.“
“My wife and i had dinner Friday April 19. She had the seafood combo for entre and i had the "Angry chicken". Service was great, the food was tasty and portions were plentiful. If i had to pick one thing i would change with the "Angry chicken" it would be to cut a few ounces l of the cream sauce“
“We were traveling through and needed food quick but didn't want "fast food". This was the best decision we could have made! The burgers were delicious and made with good quality ingredients, handmade patties of good meat, and beautiful brioche buns. The fries were cooked perfectly and obviously not a cheap brand. My husband was impressed with the chili on his coneydog and that they had Cheerwine in the bottle. We would definitely come back for more food or to try their ice cream because I'm sure it is all tasty.“
“I rented this space for my bridal shower and had the best experience! The food was amazing! The owner was the sweetest and took great care of my guest and I. The parlor is the cutest place to have a great time. I will definitely be going back with friends.“
“The food was absolutely delicious. The service was top notch - friendly, attentive and available. Trendy, pub style atmosphere that locals love to go to and bring their out of town guests to as well. This team could easily expand or open another larger location and be successful. Add Village Pump to your restaurant tour!“
“We had other business in the area, but didn’t know of a good place to get Breakfast. Looked on the net and found good reviews on Pop Jackson’s Restaurant. Wow! We’re they right!! One little waitress running around doing it all! Food was great! Price was right, my hubby and I had breakfast plus drinks for under $20.00. Only drawback I could see, was limited seating. Kudos to this crew!!!!!Parking: Little parking, but there’s limited seating as it is a small establishment.“
