“My family and I celebrated a wonderful "birthday dinner" on 11-11-2023 at El Vaquero Mexican Restaurant at 2195 Riverside Dr. in Upper Arlington.Over the years, I have eaten many times at the El Vaquero at 3230 Olentangy River Rd. but had never before eaten [as far as I can recall] at the El Vaquero at 2195 Riverside Dr.I had always assumed that the El Vaquero at 2195 Riverside Dr. is across the street from Upper Arlington but learned, several days after we had eaten there, while carefully checking the Upper Arlington map, that that restaurant is actually in Upper Arlington even though they are on the west side of Riverside Dr.We had arrived for our "birthday meal" during the late afternoon after we had briefly visited several places just north of there [Frank's Marathon and two locations within Griggs Reservoir Park] immediately before sunset so that I would be able to take some photographs of those places while the sun had still been shining. The restaurant had been nearly empty when we had arrived but quickly became crowded as people started to arrive for "happy hour" specials and/or for late-afternoon meals. My food choice that afternoon had been #40: "Chicken Burrito and Chicken Enchilada" [one burrito and one enchilada topped with lettuce, sour cream, and tomato].If you are looking for delicious Mexican food served in an energetic environment, I recommend El Vaquero [at any of their several locations].“
“My parents told me this place was new so we gave it a try. We ordered chicken tikka and chicken vidaloo and got the sampler appetizer. My husband got his vindaloo mildly spicy and said it was just enough to make him sweat. My Tikka (not masala) tasted like a warm hug. It was perfect. Can't wait to go back!!“
“I'll start with the service was amazing. The hostesses and wait staff were friendly and attentive. The atmosphere is pretty cool too. Really like the way the bar is open in the back of the restaurant. We went here because the Mrs only drinks umbrella cocktails. She wasn't a fan of the two drinks she tried, but she also wasn't reading the description. lol. She got one that was mostly ice cream. The food was better than average. Bottom line, you go here for the drinks, atmosphere and service.“
“If you like Joseppis, you would probably like Papa Joe's.Very similar menu offerings and quality of food. Papa Joe's crust is thinner and crisper, and the sauce is less sweet. Both are a positive in my book. The pepperoni cups and has a crisp edge. Nice. Could use a touch more flavor in the sauce, but all around a good pie.I really appreciated that the pizza looked identical to the ad pictures, not doctored like some brands.Good choice and variety of menu options. Good prices too.I wish there were coupon codes on the ads so they can be used online, but I can just call in my order next time if I want.Delivery time was quicker than expected (especially since we are on a weird street) and the pizza arrived fresh and still quite hot. Driver was friendly and delivery was smooth. Will definitely be ordering again and working my way through the menu. Subs are next!“
“Everything about my experience was enjoyable. I work downtown and stopped in for a quick lunch and quick was an understatement. I had the chipotle chicken sandwich. I was hesitant to get this only because I'm not a huge fan of tomatoes but the tomato jam was a perfect combination of sweet and spicy. So good and I will definitely be back to try another sandwich.“
“Small restaurant in German Village. Make a reservation unless you like sitting at the bar.We got the Housemade Focaccia to start. It is awesome.Garden Pickle Salad to share. Pretty good. The dressing was very tart. Salads are a whole entree portion so share them or get them for dinner.Their suppers all looked good and made it hard to choose. For supper we got the Cuban and the Ravioli. Cuban was awesome and Ravioli was good too.We got the chocolate chip cookie with gelato for dessert. Of course delicious.Old Fashioned was great and my wife's mocktail she enjoyed but was very sweet so she could only do one.Ben was a great waiter with great recommendations and attentive service.“
“This place is 100% a local gem. I’ve been coming here for a few years now and every single time I am met with kindness, seriously the guys in there make it feel like you’re hanging out at a friends restaurant. The food is a little more expensive than other places but with reason, you will NOT be disappointed. The pizza is true NY style, I feel like I’m transported back every time I take a bite. This place is literally perfect!“
“I stopped by to grab some lunch and I was not disappointed! What an incredibly freindly atmosphere they have here. From being greeted upon entering, to mentioning they are there to answer any questions, and being thanked upon leaving. The service itself already makes me want to return. The food was delicious. They have many offerings: grab and go meals, desserts to go (bars, cookies, etc.), and sandwiches/salads that are freshly prepared. I ordered the chicken pesto sandwich ($9). The chicken wrap looked equally tasty and I will get that next time. The sandwich did not shy from chicken or pesto. It was very filling and tasted fresh. I also got the lemon bar and blueberry bar. Both were tasty. For the blueberry bar, I recommend heating it up for 20 seconds before eating. It was a game changer for me. They have weekly specials for their grab and go meals and desserts. Join their Facebook page to view the most updated weekly offerings. Overall, a high quality food and friendly local business. It is also woman owned, which is amazing. I will definitely be back to try other items and get some grab and go meals too.“
“My wife and I love to eat at Aladdin. We get vegetarian options such as the sampler platter appetizer with grape leaves, falafel, hummus, tabouli, etc. We also have dessert here too because they often have gluten free cookies.Vegetarian options: There are several options for vegetariansDietary restrictions: There are several options for gluten free“
“Came here because I've driven by before and just love that their sign is just placed over a popeyes logo. As a Yemeni food novice, I was blown away by the food here.We were greeted by a very kind cashier/waiter/multi-roled person and he was ablw to quickly seat us and describe aspects of the menu. I still have almost no clue what the differences between the dishes are but ended up getting a lamb stew and shared an appetizer sampler. The appetizers were familiar, things I've had at middle eastern restaurants and it was all wonderful. They had a version of toum which I quickly ate up because I love garlic. My lamb stew came out and it smelled wonderful and was still sizzling due to being in a stone pot. It had such a nice flavor profile ans the lamb came through. The best part was as it was still bubbling, parts on the bottom charred a bit and I got some wonderful charred lamb pieces.Overall, a quiet restaurant that might be easy to miss but should not be passed up. Definitely give this a go if you're in the mood for some flavorful food!“
“A great sandwich place with a few seats. I ordered the #1 chicken sandwich. The sandwich size was big and the price was under $10. The chicken was a little thick and not baked well. It was cold inside. The chicken was also bland. I did not know there was a mayo sauce inside the bag. The chicken could taste better with the sauce.Vegetarian options: Salads“
“For 15 years, we’ve lived near Anna’s, driven by it thousands of times, and never stopped in, until today! Hey! What a great experience from a warm greeting from Christina, our server, who took the time to explain the menu in detail, to the final bite of dessert (after being shown a tray of choices [who does that any more?]), we were enthralled by the atmosphere, menu offerings and great service! We whole-heartedly recommend this restaurant. Everything was delicious, reasonably priced, and we look forward to returning…..very frequently!“
“I haven’t been to a WG Grinder in well over 25 years. Went to today on a whim and it did not disappoint! Salad was amazing and so was my tuna sandwich. Service was excellent! Love the vibe of the restaurant. Workers were very nice and brought the food to our table. Just really enjoyed my lunch and will be “
“I was excited to try Agape, and it did not disappoint. The falafel bowl is outstanding. The house sauce is absolutely delicious. The pita is fluffy and flavorful. And the baklava...ooooh, the baklava is *chef's kiss*. Honestly, everything I've eaten has been wonderful. I love Medditerranean food, and this place has some of the best in Columbus. As for the location, it is so clean and well maintained. The bathrooms are spotless. The staff is friendly and you can tell that the management treats them well. I love supporting an establishment where the staff is appreciated and is happy to be working there. They are enthusiastic and love recommending options for whatever your tastes may be.Best of all, you can sample before you decide! Don't know what Baba ghanoush is? Well, try it and you'll see what you've been missing! (I've had it with some hummus and pita bread for lunch, and it was delicious and satisfying)I've been telling nearly everyone I know about Agape. More people need to know about this gem of a local chain restaurant. I will definitely be back and often!“
“If you want a diner breakfast on the south side of Columbus this is the place for you. The Christmas decorations are wild and the service is excellent. Fried eggs and home fries were what you expect at a diner. They even gave me a box of candy because it was Valentine’s Day. Nice touch.“
“While out running errands in Clintonville, we stopped for lunch at Wario's Beef and Pork (aka Wario's). The dining room was packed.. always a good sign. There were 8-10 menu items to choose from. We chose a beefsteak to share. There are two streak sandwiches, we chose the Steak-Wario's way. Basically a steak sandwich chopped up with cheese and onions all in a sesame seed hoagie bun. What makes it different is it has a combination of cheeses on it. My husband liked it more than Marlows in Gahanna. I thought it fell behind Marlows and South Village Grill. They are generous with the meat. The hoagie has seasame seeds on it. I did not enjoy that texture or flavor paired with the cheese steak. The steak was a bit greasy and definitely left a greasy after taste. As far as portion sizing one hoagie can absolutely be split between two people. The one thing I did note and that was disappointing was the dining room didn't feel clean. I looked to the side of my table and it was pretty dirty (see picture). My husband will be back... me, probably not. Kind of a one and done type of place for me. I was not blown away. Id say this is more like a 3.8 star place/review but since we can only use whole numbers I had to round up. But it is definitely not a solid 4.“
“This is hit or miss depending on if you order delivery. The good is always good but delivery drivers (Door Dash) tend to stack orders for delivery and if you aren't first then it's cold. This is no fault of the restaurant. Just more reason to dine in. Dining in here is always a great experience. The staff and food are amazing.“
“We arrived around 4:14 and told it was gonna be about a 20-25 minute wait. All good. They texted me saying we were on their wait-list. We waited outside in the car as the place was busy and it was cold outside. They were true to their words and recorded a text saying a table became available about 22 minutes later. The young lady that took our order was very friendly. We ordered a large Sicilian half pep and half just cheese and a large salad. She brought out an extra plate so we could split the salad. The pizza was great. The employees were great. Enjoyed. Will go back“
“Stopped in for the first time tonight- while in town for work. When I arrived the hostess greeted me with a smile at the door & was extremely pleasant she informed me I could sit at the bar if it I preferred over a table since it was just me. -which was great! As soon as I sat down I was greeted by Mackie she was delightfully animated and made a killer drink. As I was looking at the food menu, I was having a little bit of a hard time deciding on what I wanted to try. Mackie helped guide me to pizza- Nick overheard I was having a hard time deciding and recommended some of his personal favorites.Making it easier for me to make a decision and it was so worth it! Victoria was also great, the staff here is amazing- service is equally matched with cuisine!Ordered Items:The Limit Does Not ExistButternut Squash Pizza- no greens add mushroomSome of the best pizza I have had in a long time! 10 out of 10 would recommend’I will be back next time I’m in town!“
“hey I've been here before mightve even left a lieced of my id yall sharing forks stills? I got somes for yous, follows mees! ows owls ows oh ows that was goods! bbqs grillabinos! they owe to meahahs ariiyaahs at once driving schools progressive o's maybes? noodles! meet me“
“Vegetarian options: So many options that aren't meat, including two vegan "meats": pepperoni and kielbasa.Dietary restrictions: Gluten-free and vegan options, and the vegan options aren't merely the usual "no meat or dairy" deal: They have vegan cheese, pepperoni, and kielbasa. Vegan Gabe Froman is really good; vegan License to Dill is great; the best is simulating Carlucci's Hot Boss. I can't have the original, but I knew that Fibonacci's pizza and vegan toppings + La Jefa hot sauce would also be excellent, and it is!Parking: Usually I have to go to a nearby side street, but I've never walked more than 3 blocks from my car — sometimes 0 blocks!“
“Old world, New York style pizza with a Midwest flair. I love the pizza here, it's a comforting reminder of growing up on the east coast combined with really interesting topping combinations. It's our go to, favorite pizza in Columbus.“
“Yesterday we had a pizza party at my home. I ordered a 17" half and half with a square cut. 1st half was a Don Corleone, the 2nd half was a Porky Fig. They made a mistake in the cut, so I had to wait 8 minutes while they baked a new pie. Then while I was waiting they gave me a gift card for their mistake. This I totally was not expecting. The pizza was awesome. The Porky Fig had a nice sweetness from the fig jam. The Don Corleone had just the right spice from the meat. Deweys has always had my favor taste buds, with variety of pizza option. Their salads are tasty also. Thanks DeweysParking: Curbside pickup was easy access.“
“My wife has ordered delivery from here twice with no issues, which is a good sign that they know what they're doing when it comes to that. I had ordered a ham, pepperoni, and banana pepper Stromboli. I thought for 18 dollars was kinda high until I saw how big it was. You could definitely get two meals out of it, which is what I did. I almost got a sub instead, but I'm glad I got the Stromboli. It was good, and they give you plenty of marinara on the side to dip it in. My wife ordered a pizza, and I didn't have any of it(my wife ordered toppings i dont like), but it is the kind where they put the cheese on top. Overall, the pizza looked good, and as long as you don't have anything against the cheese on top, I'd give that a try as well as the Stromboli.“
“This place is awesome, plain and simple. Doing it small, doing it right, and they're nailing it! The smoked wings are the best thing I've ever eaten, but everything there is good. I go to the draft room across the street every Thursday and they deliver there for free, I'm on a first name basis! This place is definitely one to check out!“
“great place, wonderful staff. however, only things is, if youre not into sweet, dont get their teriyaki sauce. i dont mind "savory-sweet" but oh my god, its bascially caramel. its nothing but sugar. you can taste nothing but sweet. if youre into that then awesome, but holy flib the single sweetest thing ive had in a long time. still great place good food and awesome people, just watch out for that teriyaki sauce.“
“You would think this place is all about desserts, and they kind of are, but they also have great sandwiches, salads and I believe soups (I haven't tried the soups yet). Dine-in has ample seating. There is also a small bar if you prefer to sit there. You walk up and order at the counter, then go grab your own table. One of these days, I'll amend this review with photos and better descriptions of the food. I usually go here with girlfriends and ain't nobody got time for that on GNO!“
“Clean restaurant, probably the quickest service I have ever gotten was sat down and food in front of me in less than 5 minutes, not a fan of sitting down then they come take my order but it makes sense why they did it.. food was hot and very good as always!“
“Definitely the most underrated pizza in the Columbus area. Thin, crisp, and perfectly proportional between crust sauce and cheese. Also wayyy less greasy than the majority of places out there which I appreciate! I like getting the regular cheese pizza with extra sauce. Highly recommend!“
“My husband and I are from the Ohio Valley and have longed for some good fried chicken and jojos since we moved to Columbus in 2005. I'm telling you this place is the REAL DEAL! The chicken and jojos were just like back home and the coleslaw was fantastic as well. I can't wait to try their pizza next!“
“This place is ???. Great cafe atmosphere. I came for lunch and finished some work tasks on my laptop-spacious and clean. The food was amazing- Sanfae chix sandwich and salad bar both were 10/10. The vibes were amazing, honestly based rent prices I would live here.“
“Took my children for dinner last evening. The staff were EXTREMELY nice, and the gentleman who checked me/us out at register was very helpful with adding a gift card that was too old for their system to utilize, and he still gave me credit... came out to our table to check on us after we sat down... and the food: 3 o/o 3 of us enjoyed our pasta bowls. Nice work, Hilliard Piada!“
“My wife is from Columbus, Ohio and obsesses over this place every time she comes to visit family. I really wanted some of that famous Ohio pizza, but of course, Happy wife. Happy life, So I "happily"ordered from here. I've had homegrown bibimbap in Philly before and didn't think this chain location would be as good, but to my surprise it was pretty great. The portions were plenty on my sweet and spicy chicken bowl and I really enjoyed all the free refills of my blueberry lemonade. The only thing I wish I did was buy some of their sauce to bring back home. What place makes the best bibimbap you've tried?“
“If you love the Moroccan food this is the place for you!! You really can't go wrong with any of these menu choices be it lamb, chicken or veggie dishes !! All are hearty and delicious! The service is also great! Keep up the good work guys!“
“Had a good experience today at the Lane Avenue Piada. All the employees were super nice. It is unfortunate they cannot accept tips though. I thought the card reader would ask for a tip, it didnt. I tried to give cash and was told they could not accept tips. Sad, because they deserve it! As a server I live on tips and want to reward great customer service which they gave with tips! But I figured I'd give them a shout out ! I was there between 2 -3 pm . Unfortunately did not ask anyone's name but multiple employees were very helpful and polite with great attitudes!“
“Amazing! It was my first time going to Crazee Mule Pub & Grill and I loved it a lot ?! The Service was great. The food was amazing and I got full. The atmosphere is a little on the older side but that's fine with me. Next time I go, I'm doing karaoke for sure. I love it? ?Kid-friendliness: Your Kidz are welcome as well.“
“Love love love this location. I’ve been to a handful of Bibibops around Columbus and Reynoldsburg and this one is by far my fav! The staff is always so welcoming and the food is always fresh. Every time I come, I pile on all the veggies and super foods! They are quick and work as a team! thanks for the great experience.“
“Haven't eaten at Chick-fil-A since my early 20's. Never cared for the odd waffle flavored breading on the chicken. However, my kid and Husband go when the spend time together without me. Today I joined them and got the cold wrap. It was sooo good! Fries were a bit under seasoned but i wasn't there for the fries. I didn't put 4 stars because im rating the main meal at a fast food level. Ill be back for another one. Friendly staff as well. Thanks for the nice experience. ?“
“I had a pastrami on rye with sauerkraut and swiss cheese it was a very good sandwich. They have a barrel of pickles that you can help yourself.Vegetarian options: You can order a veggie sandwich no meat.Dietary restrictions: Everything is made fresh everything is sliced fresh so you can have it your way.“
“Food is great. I went once and a heavier set guy had his belly hanging out with flour on it which isnt sanitary. As I waited at the counter to pick my food up, the phone was ringing off the hook and he had his phone on the counter next to the pizza he was making .. on top of the flour .. touching it with bare hands then continuing to make the pizza. Ignoring the ringing too. He happened to look up and see me then came over to give me the food. He needs to wear gloves or wash… not touch his phone while he makes food and not have it on the counter with the pizza.“
“Been trying to get to this place since it opened up for about a year I called early around 11 she had but I wanted. I got there at 11:30. It was no way for my food. She literally took her time to Bagget very carefully so nice wonderful place to visit. The food was amazing. Will be back soon. Thanks guys for good customer service.“
“Hot, fresh food and friendly service in the drive thru! Recommend the walnut baklava and onion rings. The jumbo gyro is truly jumbo, saucy and delicious (I recommend a fork!)I rarely go to Hilliard, but I know what I'm eating next time I'm there.“
“I always have delivery..so I could not rate the atmosphere..sorry..I usually get the works pizza..but I decided today to get a Italian sub and personal size works pizza for later..omg ..I am so full and satisfied from the sub..that the pizza is for tomorrow..so good and delivered so fast..thank you “
“Fresh food, quick service, laid back and clean dining area.Vegetarian options: They have plenty of items that can be selected for a vegetarian meal.Dietary restrictions: I am on Keto and I was able to find a selection of items that accommodated for my dietary restrictions.“
“First time eating here..pizza was delish..gyro was ok..needed more sauce but the toasted pita was a nice touch and the meat was very good..mozzarella sticks were yummy as well as the cheesy garlic bread..it was done quickly and friendly staff even though they were busy. Definitely would try again.“
“Didn't know that the sale several years ago didn't go through...was excited to learn that it was still open. Went there for the first time since. Great food and quality, just as I remembered. Now for the issues with our service. Although our waitress was nice...we put our drink and food order in at the same time because we had already decided what we wanted. In the roughly 15 minutes (maybe longer), our waitress went to the bathroom, got herself something to drink, was doing who knows what else in between....I had to approach her, tell her she still hadn't gotten us our drinks and she made up some excuse about silverware to cover for the fact that she hadn't gotten our drinks. She was nice and fairly on top of things after that....Parking: Very small lot, aisles (or traveling lanes) in parking lot are narrow and corners are tight to maneuver, but that's common in several places in the area.“
“We have been to 2 different Olive Gardens in the last week and a half. I have to say the food at this location far surpassed what we received at the last. No skimping on the sauce, and for the protein add ons, we received an ample serving. The service was great for both of our visits, but I have to say this time we were a party of 16 and to still have amazing service for a party of that size is a compliment. The restaurant was clean and well run.“
“Place is clean and has a ton of seating. It was busy while we were there but you could barely tell with how the space is set up.Food overall was good, had the Shrimp Scampi and the Chicken Scampi. No complaints with either, but could have used some more seasoning on the shrimp.Biggest issue was the tiramisu as it was still completely frozen in the middle when we got it. I didn't have any, but supposedly it tasted well despite bring frozen solid.“
“Large menu with a variety of sandwiches, wraps, quesadillas and smoothies. They are frequently running specials (discounted smoothies with food purchase. The ambiance is bright and cheery. I've tried a few items, but tonight I had the new chicken chorizo quesadilla and the detox smoothie. It was very satisfying. The quesadilla came with a smoky salsa, which was nice. The detox smoothie tastes nice and is refreshing.“
“Excellent dish. This was my first time there and I can hardly wait to go again. I ordered the zucchini bowl with impossible chicken.Vegetarian options: Very nice selection of vegetarian itemsKid-friendliness: Absolutely yesParking: The parking lot is shared with other businesses. So parking can be a bit challenging at times.“
