Unable to play favorites, I bravely ordered both. And boy, am I glad I did! Both sides were fresh, flavorful, and a perfect complement to my main course.
Speaking of the main course, the Olivia's Old South Chicken Salad Sandwich was an absolute showstopper! It was like a symphony of flavors in my mouth. The chicken salad was creamy and dreamy, and the bread was the perfect vessel for this chickeny delight. I'm still dreaming about it!
The prices were surprisingly affordable, making it easy to indulge in multiple menu items without breaking the bank. Plus, the service was incredibly fast, which is always a win in my book.

“I love visiting Family Room Coffee and Bake Shop! Whether I'm making a stop with a friend or having a mommy and daughter outing with my young girls, it's my favorite place to grab a drink. The chill atmosphere with comfy couches, board games, books, and great selection of delicious drinks and baked goodies make it awesome for catching up with friends or getting some work done. But it's also so Family friendly! We love the small tables and chairs, coloring pages, puzzles, books, and squishmallow pillows they have for kids. They also have highchairs available if you want to sit at the tables. My favorite thing might be the kids menu! All the drinks have fun names like "Frozen Unicorn", "Chilly Narwhals" and "Chilly Turtles" and they look adorable with whipped cream and sprinkles, plus taste just as good! This is one of our favorite places to go! I highly recommend stopping by for a visit!”

I have visited all the locations in the area, and I can confidently say that the food quality, quantities, and flavor are consistent. My favorite meal selections are the cloud nine pancakes, applewood smoked bacon, homemade breakfast sausage, country breakfast, fresh buttermilk biscuit, classic cheeseburger, Northstar burger, fish sandwich, and chopped salad. I have never had a bad experience or meal at Northstar. This is the energy and sense of community that was present at Starbucks. You can see and feel through the experience and the atmosphere that Northstar is firmly committed to exceptional service and quality. This is my go-to spot to rewind, relax, and socialize.”

The churros were hands down the BEST we have both ever had! (Which can be dangerous since it's too easy to get to this place to get more when we are craving them LOL) I knew the food would be pretty darn good based on the constant stream of customers for both pick up and dine in. “Have been wanting to try this place forever and finally made it in today with my best friend, what a disappointment. Their posted hours show open till 2:30 pm, we arrived at 1:50 (plenty of time for some pancakes and coffee.) The weight staff was in full on cleanup mode and made it Very obvious they were done working for the day with the way we were greeted. I ordered decaf coffee and was told there was none left so decided to have regular and then didn't even get a full cup of that. At $4.99 a pop I need a full cup. I looked at my friend and said "they don't want to wait on us they are annoyed that they are already cleaning up and we came in" she agreed so when the server came back I politely said "we will just elsewhere we can tell you're cleaning up for the day" There was no "oh you are fine, you still have 40 minutes" or anything like that there just " are you sure?" We left and headed down the street to Delaney's Diner who would also be closing in about an hour at 3 PM but a TOTALLY different vibe. Greeted with a smile from the person at the hostess stand and 2 of the chefs even looked over and smiled and said welcome come on in! We looked at each other and said much better, we are definitely in the right place now. I've heard nothing but good things about the pancakes at the Pancake House I only wish I would have got to experience them But being treated well is more important to me than food. I understand wanting to be done work for the day believe me but it wasn't like we walked in with 3 minutes till closing. Oh well 🤷‍♀️”
