This. Place. Is. Amazing. Ambiance is a perfect blend of the 1990s cafeteria and greasy spoon feel. I've never had a more true experience at a real local diner in all my years - did I mention it's on Route 66? And the wait staff is beyond friendly and helpful. My family with our 3 year old, from Texas on a day trip, we're floored at thr hospitality we never feel in our own state. Friendly employees, I tried the chicken fried steak and egg breakfast and really enjoyed it. The chicken fried steak was tender good hash browns and pancake. The waitress checked on me regularly.

I ordered a meal that includes gravy but didn't want it so I asked for salsa, instead. My thinking was that it would be 'no charge' to get the salsa since I wasn't getting the gravy.
