However, what put this place over the top for me was the staff. Ozz in particular was outstanding. He let me practise my rusty Spanish with him and when it was time to sing to the birthday girl, he sang louder and more joyfully than everyone. He danced with her and she was all smiles. What a great atmosphere - sorry about the noise; we can be a loud family.”

Jake is so lovely and kind, and really hit it off with our kiddos. The lemonades were so refreshing and yummy. And the BAKED GOODS — don’t even get me started because they’re delicious — every single one that we tried! We have decided that we’re going to frequent Jake’s Bakes for a coffee and a baked good as a weekend treat whenever we can!”

“1-Follow up on reservations for my party by the restaurant hours ahead-and seating location was as requested.Notified we had two for service that day -Catt /Makayla .2-Informed both-we were catching up our once a month chit/chat and they informed us of the menus - etc —choices were made on our part with both of them checking on our various selections and keeping things flowing all the time.-questions of changing salad dressings with our selections-just one of the changes after that a few more but never gave the suggestion to us that it was any problem.-Several times we were asked how are things going-was there any thing we did not have or do we wish to change anything that was just not what we thought we were Ordering from the menus. We said no and they said enjoy your time .We did and again we left knowing that is a place in Barrie you might wanted to add to seek and find list of where to eat in Barrie,Ontario soon.”

“I purchased chicken soup on a number of occasions for my Grandson who's 23 months. He calls the food yummy. I have eaten other food on the menu, and each time we have enjoyed it. The staff are all very friendly and helpful. This restaurant hasn't been open very long, but you should at least visit once, as you won't regret it. Some food like festival is made to order, which just goes to prove how on the ball these people are. We know that there is more than one shop. We visited Carib Dish at St. Clair Avenue West.”

“Went here for the first time tonight for a birthday dinner with friends and had a great time. The food and drinks were on point! Yes, everything was a bit pricy, but it tasted fantastic and noone had a single complaint about their food or drinks. Our server was great for being at our table almost instantly, giving us time while waiting for others to show up, and the most impressive was listening. I mentioned it was not only my birthday, but anothers the same day and one a few days ago. They ended up coming out with a birthday dessert for all of us at the end of the meal. Goat curry was really good too.
Healthy portion sizes.
Coleslaw and rice/beans were good too.

The only issue was that it was good I ate too much and was stuffed lol

We ordered fish tacos and enmoladas for our main course which were absolutely delicious and came out really quick even with the 3 large parties they had. All the staff and our server were super friendly as well 😊 I tried 3 different cocktails which were all made perfectly and we stayed for dessert which we don’t normally have but the atmosphere was excellent and we were having a great time! Would highly recommend for a date night and will definitely be back soon!”

“The funny thing is that I have lived in Barrie for seven years but have never gone to the Bull and Barrel Pub until today. It is an old fashioned British pub with regal decor that makes people feel comfortable as soon as they step in. I decided to get their meatball soup with their fish and chips. The soup was certainly needed as we had our first snow fall of the year. It had enough meat in it and the meatballs were bite size with just enough spice in the soup. On to the main, the fish was absolutely perfect flaky and full of flavour with just enough tartar sauce and malt vinegar (the proper way to add to bring out the flavor of the fish.the chips were prepared well a bit of crunch on the outside but fluffyon the outside. The price was very reasonable. I did want to mention the service. the young lady was polite, professional and very efficient. While it was not busy , service was very prompt. I forgot to get the sticky toffee pudding though. I will definitely be back . I hear they have an old fashioned rast beef dinner on Sunday i may have to check that out .”

“We visited Harvey's on Thursday, June 18 at around 9:30 p.m., and it was easily the best Harvey's experience we've ever had.

We ordered buffalo chicken strips, a burger, a couple of hot dogs, a poutine, and two drinks, and every single item was excellent. The chicken strips were juicy, perfectly cooked, generously coated in buffalo sauce, and absolutely delicious. The poutine was fantastic, and the burgers and hot dogs were made with care and loaded with toppings.

What really stood out was the staff. Everyone was incredibly friendly, helpful, and attentive. You could tell they took pride in preparing the food properly and making sure customers had a great experience.

This may have been the best fast food experience we've ever had. A huge thank you to the team working that evening. They deserve recognition for the outstanding service and food quality - it was a gentleman on the grill and a lady taking orders and topping the burgers.

“Walking along Wellington Plaza, I noticed a sign in a window advertising samosas. Since I hadn’t had one in a while, I figured I’d go in and give them a try. I was surprised not to see the usual samosas sitting in a warming oven. When I ordered, the very nice person at the counter asked me to wait a few minutes. I assumed he was just going to grab some from the back. Five minutes later, he came out with samosas fresh from the fryer. If you’ve never had freshly made samosas, you have to try Honest Restaurant. “Loved this place, came with my family and the service was amazing . The food was to die for. And they honestly were really amazing with my kids. I know it’s hard to take your family out sometimes and sometimes you share what you all have. But how they treated us so amazing with sharing the meal with my family of 4, and we only ordered 2 meals. And the waitress was so amazing because my kids really wanted tot try the ice cream but it wasn’t in the budget… but she saw how bad they wanted it and gave it to them on the house.
