“3 generations of our family have been going there. Never once have we been disappointed. The cheese buns and onion buns are a must. definitely a 5 star. would give 10 if I could, probably much higher. There is nothing there that will disappoint especially the baked goods. I can never go there without picking up the pizza bun to take to my son. He loves them as much now as when he was a child.”

We ordered fish tacos and enmoladas for our main course which were absolutely delicious and came out really quick even with the 3 large parties they had. All the staff and our server were super friendly as well 😊 I tried 3 different cocktails which were all made perfectly and we stayed for dessert which we don’t normally have but the atmosphere was excellent and we were having a great time! Would highly recommend for a date night and will definitely be back soon!”

“I went to Made in Mexico to celebrate the birthday of my great-niece. I had the birria tacos and really enjoyed them. The food is great, of course (I actually ordered another helping of birria tacos to bring home for a friend and shrimp tacos for tomorrow's lunch - if they last that long). However, what put this place over the top for me was the staff. Ozz in particular was outstanding. He let me practise my rusty Spanish with him and when it was time to sing to the birthday girl, he sang louder and more joyfully than everyone. He danced with her and she was all smiles. What a great atmosphere - sorry about the noise; we can be a loud family.”

“1-Follow up on reservations for my party by the restaurant hours ahead-and seating location was as requested.Notified we had two for service that day -Catt /Makayla .2-Informed both-we were catching up our once a month chit/chat and they informed us of the menus - etc —choices were made on our part with both of them checking on our various selections and keeping things flowing all the time.-questions of changing salad dressings with our selections-just one of the changes after that a few more but never gave the suggestion to us that it was any problem.-Several times we were asked how are things going-was there any thing we did not have or do we wish to change anything that was just not what we thought we were Ordering from the menus. We said no and they said enjoy your time .We did and again we left knowing that is a place in Barrie you might wanted to add to seek and find list of where to eat in Barrie,Ontario soon.”

“I purchased chicken soup on a number of occasions for my Grandson who's 23 months. He calls the food yummy. I have eaten other food on the menu, and each time we have enjoyed it. The staff are all very friendly and helpful. This restaurant hasn't been open very long, but you should at least visit once, as you won't regret it. Some food like festival is made to order, which just goes to prove how on the ball these people are. We know that there is more than one shop. We visited Carib Dish at St. Clair Avenue West.”

Lines get moved pretty quickly and they have never gotten my order wrong and when ive seen people return orders they quickly take it back and fix it with great apologies. “Great place for a Caribbean walk in. My wife had the goat and really liked it. It was good, and unique as well. It was more of a stew with browning sauce than a conventional yellow curry. Very enjoyable non the less. The Doubles was perfect. I had a classic jerk chicken was very good. The rice and peas was very well prepared, but just rice amd beans. The coleslaw was also ok, but just coleslaw. Nothing out of their lane. The server (owner?) Was very pleasant and quick. There is a small indoor waiting area and some patio seating outside. Nice takeaway place. I will absolutely go back and try something else. Obviously they dont neednto change anything for me, but I prefer a shaper vinegar coleslaw and I like my Caribbean rice with a bit more spice and coconut milk.”

“Deb's Place is outstanding. It is one of the very few family owned and operated restaurants. The menu accommodates just about every preference. By all means pay attention to the lunch specials. Deb's specialises in breakfast and lunch. Service is rapid, very friendly. Food preparation is always very good. Hours are six days a week from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Closed on Sundays. I've been coming to Debs at least once a week for more than two years. The reasons are the great food and excellent service.”

Yar and Noor are the experts in the art of Indian food cooking with many years of experience and they are so friendly to all the customers. The service is great and we love the many variety of dishes. No other restaurants can compare to the unique taste of Tara cuisine. Young and old would love this place that has an upgraded decor. “The funny thing is that I have lived in Barrie for seven years but have never gone to the Bull and Barrel Pub until today. It is an old fashioned British pub with regal decor that makes people feel comfortable as soon as they step in. I decided to get their meatball soup with their fish and chips. The soup was certainly needed as we had our first snow fall of the year. It had enough meat in it and the meatballs were bite size with just enough spice in the soup. On to the main, the fish was absolutely perfect flaky and full of flavour with just enough tartar sauce and malt vinegar (the proper way to add to bring out the flavor of the fish.the chips were prepared well a bit of crunch on the outside but fluffyon the outside. The price was very reasonable. I did want to mention the service. the young lady was polite, professional and very efficient. While it was not busy , service was very prompt. I forgot to get the sticky toffee pudding though. I will definitely be back . I hear they have an old fashioned rast beef dinner on Sunday i may have to check that out .”

“On one visit we had pecan encrusted lamb chops, with a side of the best seasoned frites ever! May not be on the current menu, but I would recommend The North on the basis their creative presentation of their appetizers, entrees, desserts, and drinks, and the friendly servers. The atmosphere puts you at once at ease. We left the restaurant with the feeling that our experience was excellent and worth what we paid for our dining night out!”

“Walking along Wellington Plaza, I noticed a sign in a window advertising samosas. Since I hadn’t had one in a while, I figured I’d go in and give them a try. I was surprised not to see the usual samosas sitting in a warming oven. When I ordered, the very nice person at the counter asked me to wait a few minutes. I assumed he was just going to grab some from the back. Five minutes later, he came out with samosas fresh from the fryer. If you’ve never had freshly made samosas, you have to try Honest Restaurant. The pastry was incredibly crunchy and flaky — nothing like the ones that have been sitting in a warmer for hours — and even the filling was hot all the way through.”

“People usually don't give good reviews but this place warrants it. Went for breakfast yesterday. There was only on young man working. There was at least 10 people in but he did an excellent job in serving everyone and was very polite. This young man should be praised”

He started dribbling my ice coffee down the aisle past the homeless in bikinis, he dunked on them with my fry bag (yes he put the fries in the bag) and he was just incredible with his Lebron moves. “Loved this place, came with my family and the service was amazing . The food was to die for. And they honestly were really amazing with my kids. I know it’s hard to take your family out sometimes and sometimes you share what you all have. But how they treated us so amazing with sharing the meal with my family of 4, and we only ordered 2 meals. And the waitress was so amazing because my kids really wanted tot try the ice cream but it wasn’t in the budget… but she saw how bad they wanted it and gave it to them on the house. I’m telling you now I will be coming here a lot more.”

Our host, Arsh, was incredibly welcoming, attentive, and made us feel right at home from the moment we walked in. The service was top-notch throughout the meal.
The food was outstanding—we enjoyed the Malai Kofta, which had a rich, creamy sauce and soft, flavorful kofta dumplings, along with a rich paneer dish garnished with fresh ginger julienne and green chillies. Paired with fresh, hot rotis, everything was packed with authentic flavor and served hot.
