“Just had the thanksgiving family dinner and I have to say this years quality from last years is night and day everything in the meal is delicious. The only thing I’m not a fan of is the pumpkin pie. It’s not bad but a little heavy for my taste. The coconut cream pie though was delicious. Thank you for making everything delicious.Parking: I find for the disabled there are spots but the entrance is not directly by the parking so it’s not that convenient. There is a drive thru here tho I believeKid-friendliness: I know they accommodate for children and have kids meals but I do not have children myself so I’m not sure if the details“

“As a non-vegan, Tsuchi cafe's food was really good. I was very surprised by how delicious it was. Though they have a limited seated area, this place is definitely a must try. I loved the Karepan and the walnut brownie. The pistachio natcha tart was okayish. The flan was really good!“

“On a little tour of the market on a cool, windy Monday. Needed a warm up, happy we picked Lekker. Nice Americano and an amazing Lekker dessert waffle to sooth a sweet tooth. Light fluffy waffle with banana, whip cream, ice cream and chocolate sauce. Definitely a place to return to on our next trip to the city.“

“We went there Jan. 1st…The Good: everything we ordered was delicious, super friendly vibes from all staff. We waited probably a good 20 minutes? The homemade jam and lemon butter was to die for and just amazing on everything. We also order to go soups here and Daisy cake. Wonderful restaurant.The Bad:I pointed out to the waiter that the charges showing $600+ for a bill that was $73.22. He said “Oh it’s Christmas” we just laughed it off but that’s wasn’t funny, good thing I always check my bill. He didn’t even apologize as if he’s entitled for that amount. How can you make a mistake punching $600+ for $73.22. Really sketchy…. It’s not a reflection of the owner and the restaurant but you wonder how many times this Male Wait Staff actually got away with it. It really left a bad taste in our mouth…“

“This location is the coziest and most welcoming Kelseys I have been to!Staff are always friendly and welcoming! Today I had the spinach dip! It came piping hot and really fresh.Prices are pretty standard but the quality of the food is always on point!This location was renovated within the last couple of years and looks amazing too!“

“This is a great little gem in Toronto's Junction neighborhood. The brunch was delicious. We had the specials. Their home fries are the most unique and delicious fries I have ever eaten. They also have a cool waitlist option that they use to seat their guests. The servers are very polite and friendly.“

“We came by the other day and Karen took care of us at the bar and she was absolutely lovely!! I was torn between a few drinks and she helped me decide based off what I told her I usually liked. She nailed it! She was also incredibly patient and kind to us, we’re not from the city and it was our first day in the city and she gave us a list of her favourite places around the city. “We went (family of 5) last night for a dinner at Venga Cucina. The ambiance in the restorant is very pleasant, high quality cutlery and flatware. Subtle italian music in the background. The waiter informed us about daily specials, explained dishes and recomended the wine. The chef/owner stopped by, we chatted a bit. The food...pinsaria, pasta, side table cheese wheel - so tasty, delicious, no nonsense food! Fresh and high quality ingredients, localy sourced with some of them coming from Italy. Flour, sausages... Service was amazing. Knowledgeable, unpretentious, perfect timing... It was our first time dining at Venga, but for sure it is not the last time. Highly recomended!!!“

“Their vegan options are not just delicious but also unique! I have been to Japan but I never saw a miso eggplant flavour onigiri (if it does exist maybe I just missed it every time???) but it was so delicious here. Dango was also super tasty. ALMOST as good as fresh street food in Japan but not quite ?Vegetarian options: They have several vegetarian/vegan options. The eggplant miso is vegan and the shiso plum onigiri is vegan 100% for sure because we asked the chefs.“

“If I could rate this restaurant more than five stars I definitely would! Sadly, we now live in a place where there is no Swiss Chalet. My husband, knowing my great love of Swiss Chalet, planned a surprise 60th birthday party for me when we were visiting Toronto at this place. He had worked together with the owner, Anisur Salim, in secret without me having a clue. When I arrived, everything was so well organized, the restaurant had beautiful balloons for me and even donated a birthday cake! There were about 40 of us there that evening and the owner made sure everything went off so smoothly and the food was delicious! He was very attentive and was happy to have been working with my husband on this surprise. Thank you so, so much for all of your hard work to create such a beautiful evening for me! It was absolutely perfect!“

“They added a 20% gratuity to the bill without letting us know, which I find a little dishonest when they still have a blank line for you to add a tip. For me, it feels like they are trying to trick you into tipping twice. Otherwise the food was decent. Had the daily omelette which was cooked nicely.“

“I've been grabbing food from heartbreak since early 2023. And BOYYYYYYYYY LET ME TELL YOU. Hands down the best Mac and cheese, and best chicken sandwiches I've had in Toronto. “Was at an event at Mattamy Centre and came across this place. And what a find! It is a cool, quant, chic little spot; almost something a different era. Saw in another review that the nacho were awesome and they were right. Tried the chicken tinga and another hit. Lots of different beers you do not see elsewhere. “Came here for brunch after the place we were planning on going to which was nearby was full.The vibe was giving nightclub. Very dark. It was nearly empty inside (although there were people out on the patio). The music was terrible. Ordered a coffee, she said they have no cream, just milk... Just slightly over hyped.You can definitely make just as good Mac and cheese at home, but I’m def too lazy to make the BBQ pulled pork and chicken, so I’d go here for that!Sadly due to limited space, your Mac and cheese might get cold by the time you get to eat it. I got the BBQ Chicken, my friends the original and the pulled pork. I find out when people do barbeque flavoured things, it tends to be very overpowering. Bobbie Sue’s Mac and Cheese gives a perfect balance, and you can still taste the cheese sauce despite BBQ sauce being notoriously overpowering. Good job!“

“While passing through Toronto, we went to this restaurant which was recommended for its poutine.It was simply perfect, the poutine was excellent with homemade fries, just the right amount of sauce so the fries didn't become soggy and very well-measured cheese.Additionally, the service was exemplary. We asked for two beers and the waiter told us they were out of that beer and made us taste 4 beer samples to make our choice.Everything was perfect ! thank you“

“Came here for a friends birthday and the staff and service was tremendous! I absolutely love the vibe of the restaurant and I also loved how patient they were for a group of us.This is such a unique restaurant/cuisine because it's a Dutch and Indonesian style restaurant. I ordered the fries and it was fun trying all of the various sauces - very good and neutral order for a big group of people. I grabbed the Boerenkool which is a kale mashed potato dish with bacon lardons and slices of Dutched smoked sausage and gravy. I think the dish was okay but my friend tried other dishes that I got to try like their steak and it was tasty! I've gone to Amsterdam and had a Boerenkool there and I liked the Kale mash there and found the gravy more fatty so I think it's all up to personal taste.I'd love to return since there's not many Dutch-Indonesian restaurants in the city.“

“Love love the food! The curly fries, YES! The Nashville chicken sandwich, HELLL YA! I got the 'Hot' for the sandwich and it was a perfect spice for me! “We recently ordered food trays from Tahanan Restaurant after the previous caterer cancelled on us the day before. Their service is execellent 10/10 and they were able to deliver even with less than 24hr notice. They are professional and everybody loved their food. We definitely recommend this place to everybody. It's the best value as the sides are the same size regardless if you order them separate or as a combo (they should honestly just remind their customers of this - it would go a long way in building repeat customers). “Great little hole in the wall that plays house/techno and sometimes drum and bass, with live DJ's. This is a place where a lot of dj's go to test their sound on a small audience and some even get recruited into labels and become local Toronto DJ's. They have a wall that shows a lot of people who have made it into the EDM community. No entrance fee.“

“January 20, 2024 update: New improved location at Chartwell Shopping Center complex - 2375 Brimley Road (Huntingwood and Brimley)Love this place. The staff are always pleasant and very courteous. The staff run it well and efficient - common dishes usually take under a min to be in front of you after ordering!I usually just have the plain egg noodles and my parents usually have the egg noodles with wonton or dumplings (one is shrimp only and the other has meat mixed with shrimp, in case you are wondering you wondering what the difference is). The egg noodle is best eaten fresh on the spot, especially mixed with red vinegar and their delicious hot sauce.My only feedback is that the dumplings / wontons are huge and can get stuffy (feedback from my mom) and if they can consider making the wonton / dumpling smaller, it will help.“

They offer Social Hour from 3-5 pm with selected drinks at only $6, that's a really awesome deal.The ribs were yummy; the meat literally fell off the bones. They also have a great selection of drinks. I had the Blue Lemonade - asked them to skip the shaved ice, and it tasted pretty good.The service was nice, and the space was clean and chill. We live a few hours away and stopped in to eat here during our time in Toronto, Jonathon made our big family feel welcomed even with our chaos! “Been a long time since I've stepped foot in this bar. Went with a large group of friends to celebrate a birthday. We sat on the patio with their updated furniture. Seats were comfortable. There's a small dance area by the bar with a good selection of drinks to choose from. Decent music was playing the night we went. The establishment closes later than other places so you can chill for a bit longer. When it's closing time, be ready to leave or you'll get hounded by the security on site.“

“They have affordable combo meals!! A taste of home. For $14, your tummy will be full. I really like their spicy bicol express. The combo meal also has a choice of pop or bottled water, so it is for sure a bang for the buck. They also offer items that only they sell. She proceeded to make sure my meal was prepared as requested and brought out soda refills without having to be asked, a fantastic server! She sat us in the bar area had no expressions on her face we waited 10 minutes and still no one came to take our drink order and i asked the hostess to move us and she looked at us like we were out of space and didn't apologize and she was too busy yapping with other staff.Most of the staff there were kids.
