“We had a large party to celebrate our daughter’s engagement to her fiancé last weekend with well over 80 people to feed. The food from Skara was on time, hot and delicious! Our guests kept asking us where the delicious gyros was from. Skara! I would highly recommend Skara for your catering needs. I will definitely continue to use them. #bestgyros #skaracatering #catering #partyfood“
“A gem of an establishment. These people put great care into the food they serve and everything I have ever had from this place is delicious. The Chicken Souvlaki and Meatball dishes are both superb. The Moussaka is outstanding. Fresh greek salad, rice, potatoes, salad dressing all 5 star. Very friendly atmosphere with knowledgeable staff happily eager to assist you quickly and efficently.“
“Got take out from here. Although portions seem to be getting smaller, the quality and taste of the chicken souvlaki dinner was effing phenomenal. The tzatziki was so good and garlicky, potatoes better, rice perfect, chicken was juicy and perfectly charred. My new favourire Greek restaurant. Just wish I had more potatoes and rice, because it was so damn good!“
“Honestly if your getting shawarmasor gyro or anything in that realm, this is the best place to go. Been going there for years and I’ve tried every place in the area, all the chains, and countless places in every corner of the city. you will not find a better place. The portions for price there are amazing (I’m a bigger dude I eat) but the food itself is incredible. Toppings and meat are always fresh (even at end of day). The flavour is a fat man’s dream ?. Never had a bad meal or experience there. Also the owners are hard working awesome people and do everything on there end to make everyone feel welcomed and familiar. It’s a must if you’re in the area. St Lawrence is great but if your getting food this place triumph's. They have a true passion and care for what they do and it shows in every way. MUST TRY!Parking: Right on front near Jarvis, there’s street parking on all the streets around there.“
“Great service and delicious food.Been here about 5 times now and the people here are amazing and so kind. It's my new favourite restaurant in the area. I've tried the steak, chicken and pork dinners and they're all delicious.“
“This place is incredible!!! Executive Chef Tony not only made us a delicious meal but joked with us and made us feel like family. Our server Jack was attentive to EVERY details. I ordered the Pétros Potions & it was phenomenal. Our Red Snapper was cooked to perfection. I will 100% be coming back!!!“
“Always a favourite of ours! We have been going here for about ten years and the food is always great, the service fast and efficient. We couldn't get a reservation at first because it is so popular but they squeezed us in . We were having a late celebration of my dad's 89th birthday and they gave him a cake, sang him Happy Birthday and he was loving the attention! Thank you for a great evening...we will always come back! ?? PS. The Garides Saganaki is the bomb!! ?“
“Stumbled upon this restaurant today by chance, and we’re glad we did. Cozy and unpretentious with friendly service and an extensive menu of authentic Greek food. The prices are reasonable, the portions huge, and the food was delicious. Skewered chicken was plump and juicy, the grilled veggies were done just right, and we ate every last bit of the home made chunky tzatziki. My dining partner’s salad was topped with a slab of feta, drizzled in oil, herbs, and capers that was probably worth the price of the meal alone. For two tired and hangry travellers, it was exactly the stop we needed.“
“My wife and I recently dined and we're a little disappointed with our main course selection. The staff were very quick to notice and were very attentive to rectify the situation. This left a very good impression on both of us so will definitely consider going back next time we're watching a show. Excellent service very attentive good choice for pre-theatre dining.“
“AWESOME FAMILY RESTAURANT AND VERY REASONABLE PRICE! We've been to quite a few restaurants along Danforth since it's more convenient, and we thought - why don't we go a bit farther from the major intersection and see how it goes? I'm glad we did and what a great experience at Pape Village! I'd admit we aren't too familiar with Greek cuisine so it took us a while to go over the menu and had to ask a bunch of questions. It was a busy night (even though it was early on a weeknight), but the staff was very patient in answering our questions and gave us some good ideas. Unlike some other places in the area, they didn't rush us in placing the order at all and we appreciated that very much! We started with two appetizers: taramosalata (a fish roe dip) and fried calamari. The dip was great - the typical good quality you'd expect from a decent restaurant. What really surprised us was the fried calamari - it was perfectly deep fried with thin batter, and the squid was so tender :) Then, we ran into a "challenge" - we were sort of half full by that time, and judging by the food portion from other guests, we decided to order just one main course to share. It turns out to be a great decision as the main course was HUGE!!! We wanted to order the Kontosouvli Pork, but it's only available during weekend thus we ordered Pork Souvlaki instead. The pork was nicely grilled - super tender and juicy. Given the high food quality and excellent services, the price was more than reasonable. We'll definitely visit again, probably during weekend in order to try the Kontosouvli Pork :)“
