“Made a reservation and was put at the table on the corner between the kitchen and near cash. I asked to be moved because I was at a week or so ago. It was noisy and not what I wanted. I asked to move and she argued with me, she said the west room would be worse if it fills up. I finally got her to “allow” me to move and the new table was nice and the area was quite. Not sure why she was bent on us not moving because the restaurant was not busy. Really threw off my experience. I come to the Wooly about once or twice a month.“
“For a sandwich and a beer I paid $34 after tax with tip. Just seems expensive for what the food was. The place has good bones and a nice staff but there is room for improvement. The menu might cater to too many cuisines. I'd go to the basics and dial it in.“
“Clearly 4 plus stars across the board but the loss of star overall?...having to park about a mile away and walk in the freezing cold. Yah...I'm that person. Not having parking is for sure a deterrent for me coming back again over other places.Parking: It is brutal finding an open spot anywhere in Guelph.“
“our first dinner with the new ownership and the food was fantastic, excellent. Cant wait for some new renos. Having to go down a large flight of stairs and stairs to enter the restaurant was difficult for me, with a bad knee. That would be my only issue, so go before you come to eat. Cant say enough of the huge menu and the food!!!!“
“My mentee Damilola took me to this cool corner at the University of Guelph. I could not get enough of their pineapple mocktail and yummy chicken mushroom melt burger ?. I loved the meal so much that I took some to mum. Thanks Damilola for an awesome treat ❤️ I cannot wait to get another meal.“
“First time eating here. We had a table of 8 and our food and drinks arrived perfect and quickly. Our meals were all very good. Out r server Hunter was very personable and friendly!! Our only issue was the AC was blowing into our table and it was very cold! Being -10 outside this is really made the dinner hard to enjoy. I basically elate with my jacket on.“
“Was there today for my mom‘s 86th birthday lunch and with 12 people we had absolutely no complaints whatsoever. As a surprise, we ended up in the private room and it was perfect. It was beautiful when the restaurant clapped after happy birthday was sung.Rhianna did an amazing job keeping us with drink in hand and great food to be enjoyed. Kudos to the kitchen since we did have a couple of allergy orders and you nailed it!I highly recommend this place for everything from the great atmosphere, the staff, the drinks and food, all worthy of five ⭐️From my family to the Borealis Grille & Bar family, thank you for making us feel special and making my moms day special ❤️Dietary restrictions: Egg allergy and Rhianna double checked with me numerous times ❤️“
