“I had purchased the supper club as a Christmas present for my parents. On the evening of the event in July, due to some bad luck and miscommunication about the new location, they ended up arriving well into the meal and were quite stressed about it all. Yaya's was extremely accommodating and bent over backwards to ensure they were well taken care of despite the late start and they had a wonderful experience as a result. While I myself have not had the chance to taste the food, they did say that it was both beautiful and delicious and would go back. I look forward to trying it myself one day.”

The employee who input my order entered 1 medium iced capp, 1 caramelized onion and parmesan savory pinwheel, and 2 bacon farmer's wraps. I brought it to the attention and got a refund for the extra bacon farmer's wrap they added to my order but this wouldn't have happened if the order was entered correctly”

This has happened to me twice in the last couple of weeks and each time I politely said I will pull around if someone comes up behind me in the drive thru. And to penalize me for doing that they decide to give only 9 nuggets when a 10 piece was ordered and paid for. Makira Sushi is hands down our absolute favorite sushi spot. We order from them about once a week, and every single time the food is fresh, delicious, and beautifully prepared. The quality is consistently outstanding — you can truly taste the care they put into everything they make.

This past Sunday, we had one of the most touching customer service experiences we’ve ever had. It was about 15 minutes before closing, and we suddenly had the idea to do sushi for dinner. I thought, oh no, they’re probably closing, but my husband called anyway. Without hesitation, they said “no problem at all” and happily accommodated us.

Not only that — they gave us extra food we didn’t even order, enough for two full dinners and even the next day. When we tried to pay for the extra food, they refused to charge us. That level of kindness, generosity, and genuine care is something you almost never see anymore.

The service is unreal, the owners are incredible people, and the food is always unbelievable. I truly wish more businesses operated with this kind of heart and integrity. Places like Makira Sushi deserve more than five stars — they deserve seven stars ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐.

There were whole garlic cloves baked into the bread which melted in your mouth upon taking a bite. We just saw Codefendants play there and the sound and vibes were perfect, and the staff took great care tending to us all throughout the night. “We recently had a party there. Maybe around 50 adults and 20 kids.. The banquet hall was very convenient with the separate areas for starters, drinks, food, dress change, washrooms. They had a reasonably good stage and provided a good microphone set etc for the kids to have their music talent shows. Food was superb- all our guests requested us to convey their compliments to the restaurant team. Delicious (kappa, fish curry, appam-stew, chicken Biriyani, veg pasta, jeera rice, then the mango majito, gulab jamun) food in large quantities ! They even went beyond our expectations in making appams several times. Very good service from the folks who spent 4-5 hours in the banquet hall, serving our guests. Also, it was very cost-effective for the quality service we received. Thanks to the team at Chef's Paradise ! We definitely will come back for your food and recommend you to anyone who is looking for a party space.”

“I go here every day for my nitro cold brew today I went back in because the coffee tasted off and they literally changed the keg 3 times I felt bad and told them it's not that big of an issue but they insisted and made sure I got a proper tasting coffee service 10/10 the team at the location is made up of an all-star line up.
