Great Little Place to eat!! Food is made on the premises. I had a quichee that was excellent. Pastry light, omlette ingredients balanced perfectly and cooked to perfection. My husband had a chicken pot pie and he loved it. Again the pastry was light, filling tasty and he thoroughly enjoyed it. The black walnut has always been my go-to spot to enjoy a coffee and muffin or scone. Whether I’m eating in, sitting on the patio with my pup, or grabbing something to go on my way to nearby Thames park, this coffee shop is my favourite. Every day I am saddened that it has been destroyed by the fire but am hopeful that the rebuild will be just as nice and even better.

This was my favourite cafe in London and one of the best I've frequented in Ontario. I live out of province now, and every trip back home, I try to make it here for lunch. So it was very sad to hear of the fire that destroyed the cafe building, and I do hope that they rebuild and reopen in the coming months / year.
