“One of the tasty Jollof rice and Turkey I have had since I came to Canada. Very Smokey with a complimentary plantain. You need to try this honestly… after a road trip to Toronto, I decided to look for a place to eat late night. drove all the way to Las Gidi Jollof. I came back to buy Poundo Yam for my friend. They open 24hrs. It does not have a dine in, though amazing personality and fantastic customer service experience. I definitely recommend this if you are around Mississauga.“
“First time here, we were greeted and welcomed. The owner is very friendly. The place is cozy and nicely decorated. The music adds a good vibe. We ordered 3 platters and 2 juices. They prepared it very quickly and it was fresh. The portions were filling and delicious. We couldn't decide which was the best. All a 10/10. Definitely, reccomend to everyone and will be coming back.Thank you for the great experience.“
“I have never tried fufu before and I wanted to give it a shot. So I got fufu and the beef stew. It was amazing, and delicious. The beef was soo tender and and juicy and the fufu paired with it perfectly. The mouth feel was amazing and the strew was perfectly spiced. It made for a meal experience that was so elemental. What a real treat. I can't believe all this time Iv been missing out. Creature comfort? Heck yes, this dish hits the spot just right. Fair warning to those who don't like heat. This dish brings the Heat for a nice Spicy kick. Definitely recoment for people who enjoy spicy food. It's the perfect balance of heat and flavor. I'm sure there are other menu options that aren't spicy if thats not your thing. Wish I lived closer because I would definitely frequent this establishment. The star deduction is not for the food because this was easily a 5 star food experience. Soo tasty. My only critic was the environment of the pickup/dining room. It was just a bit to un formal. Even still very friendly staff and food was prepared in minutes. A quick yet authentic home cooked meal vibe. I may just make the 1hr20 min drive back out next time I'm seriously craving some fufu and beef stew. Price point $22 for my meal. The food was soo good I am honestly satisfied even at that slightly higher price point. Well worth it indeed.“
“Hmm.. had better nandos at other locations. Food was served warm not that fresh. We felt chicken was dry and prepared before we placed our order.Had lunch there and Ordered many items.Hummus dip was tasty. Chicken wings were good too.Rainbow Chicken bowl was colorful but rice was cold.Tried 2 sandwiches.Chicken sandwich was ok but it could be better.Nandocas choice. This is same as chicken sandwich with coleslaw but was tasty.Peri Mac was fresh and tasted goodOverall it was a mixed experience. Service was good.“
“I just had Get Grill for the first time and I must say. It was fantastic. I don't do many reviews but this required one. The food is great. The staff was great, I didn't know what I would like and not only did they talk it out with me, but they gave me a small sample to ensure I would like it.There is a range of spice levels it appeared, I am an individual who does enjoy spicy foods so I went with the Shombo chicken (forgive me if I got the name wrong). It didn't disappoint.I recommend trying this place out to eat if you haven't before. I thoroughly enjoyed it.“
“Me and my girls were on a shopping trip in Malton and we stopped by to buy some food. Ooh it was so good. It was in the morning and it was fresh, natural and deliciousThere was a nice lady at the counter to help us. Great food and great experience overall. Neat spot with delicious food“
“Bunmi Olobe & her team catered to a boat cruise I was on and the food was so excellent! Very generous portions (and there were still left overs). Lovely service. I had abula and was pleased to my meal. I haven’t been to the store but look forward to coming soon.“
“Came here late night and the place was packed! I was surprised how busy the place was but it all made sense after I tried the food.We ordered a chicken wrap and mixed beef wrap and both were good. The wraps here are made with a different type of pita that was much thicker than my liking. Also order a beef suqaar platter with spicy rice, salad, bbq chicken ? and a greens a potato dish.Definitely recommend this late night spot and definitely bang for your buck!“
“Now, I’m a newbie to African cuisine. I’ve tried a number of restaurants within greater Toronto and I must say Benin Restaurant is in a class of its own.The red stew….. Is mouthwatering!!!The meat or protein is made to your desired tenderness.Thank you for sharing a taste of Nigeria here in Canada with us!!!!“
“I’m so happy to finally have a Somali restaurant nearby. I usually have to drive to Etobicoke to get good Somali food (otherwise I have to drive up to Ottawa for it).Hamdi restaurant is the perfect spot for quality Somali cuisine. I had the chicken sabaya wrap and boy let me tell you, I just might choose this over shawarma and shawarma is in my veins (as a Leb). It was incredible. So tasty the flavors are amazing and best wrap I’ve had.I also had the Suqar (beef and rice) and it was one of the best I’ve had. The portions are huge. It took me two meals to finish the wrap and three to finish the beef and rice. The service is great. The people there are warm and friendly and you can feel their amazing and humble energy. Hamdi’s will be one of my go to for Somali food. Don’t forget to try their sweet tea. I don’t care what diet you’re on, you have to try it.“
