“Nine months prior, I had endured an unfortunate dining experience at Scaddabush but today I experienced true excellence. Eric, our server, embodied sincerity. His genuine attentiveness and friendly smile transformed our evening. Eric's knowledge of the new spring menu was also impressive! Our dishes arrived promptly starting with the the Polenta Fries, crispy on the outside, tender on the inside. The marinara sauce was very flavorful and left me craving more. My Mediterranean Salmon was wonderful and very well seasoned. A little less foliage and beans would have allowed the salmon’s perfection to shine otherwise, very enjoyable. The Truffle Gnocchi and delicious cream sauce just melted in your mouth. The Toasted Pina Colada and Old Fashioned cocktails were perfectly balanced thanks to a very talented mixologist at the bar. Reina and Natalie, the new management came over to our table which was a nice surprise. Even handed me a couple of coupons for next time,! And there will be a next time. Their warm greeting and genuine interest in our experience made me feel like a cherished guest. Scaddabush has redeemed itself. Eric, your sincerity is the secret ingredient. “This is the best Mandarin location. At other Mandarins they will occasionally run out of a certain dish and it takes a while to replenish. But here they never run out. They replenish before they run out. Everything is fresh and plentiful. I go here even though I live in Toronto and live near another location.”
“Just went for the first time and had the Shish Tawook platter (with rice and salad). Delicious! I’m a very picky eater but all the food was SO fresh and tasty, including the chicken which was perfectly tender. They pickle all their own veggies too, so the salad was great. Upon leaving, the owner gave me a falafel to try also, and wow, it was perfect. Will go back for sure!!!”

She was incredibly helpful in helping me pick what to order (which was delicious btw). She was very attentive to our table. As I was leaving, it started raining heavily outside and she quickly ran to the back to get me a variety of plastic bags to choose from so I could protect myself from the rain, as my car was as parked quite far. She didn’t have to go above and beyond, but she did. It’s definitely worth visiting Kinton Ramen for the amazing service and delicious food. 11/10”

Coleslaw was good, bit watery and there was a bright pink twisty tie-like item I pulled out of my mouth which I had thought was purple cabbage... fries were good, ketchup tasted a little old, they should probably rotate them in the fridge throughout the day to avoid that. Eggs and toast were also great, you get jam with the toast, not sure if it would be an extra charge for peanut butter or other spreads. The ham seemed a tad too chewy, next time I'll probably try the sausage or bacon. Would definitely go again. Be prepared for a wait on weekend mornings for breakfast or lunch.”

Not only is this location in desperate need of a reno, but the staff barely looked at me the whole time, just talking to each other. There were no napkins (just those long brown paper towels like in tbe bathroom) and the whole place could use a wipedown. Great location and has a drive-thru. I used the drive-thru a couple times, the last time I purchased a $9 medium iced coffee, which was good but I was asked for a tip at the drive-thru. I thought that was in poor taste since I paid for a premium barrista beverage and I'm just driving through - didn't use any extra facilities, didn't even order food, and the attendant wasn't that friendly.Dietary restrictions: Extra charge for lactose free milk but it's an option. Not too long ago they only had oatmilk if you wanted to avoid lactose, but this changes the flavor of your drink with your restriction (which is never fun!)”

The other reviews spoke about good service and fresh, tasty food. I walked in to a clean resatuarant and was immediately greeted by the staff. I saw a sign for a "Burrito of the day" and decided to go with that (Tuesday is grilled chicken). Ordered and watched them make it, everything looked delicious and fresh, I paid and they finished grilling my burrito and wrapped it up. The staff member went to hand my my burrito in a bag and accidentally dropped it! He quickly picked up the bag, changed his gloves, and went to check my food. He noticed the burrito was split. He asked me to wait just a moment, and I assumed he was just going to wrap a second tortilla around it, but instead he REMADE my entire order. I was dealing with a work issue on the phone before I realized what he was doing - I would have been fine with a second tortilla around my burrito. When i told him I felt bad about wasting food, he threw the first burrito in with my second one because he agreed, he didn't want to throw it away. That kind gesture, and the delicious fresh food I enjoyed has earned a repeat customer. Great food, for a great price. I'll be back A LOT!”

We found Kaze through a free roll offer being advertised at Kamen. Since Kamen’s wait list was long, we decided to try Kaze, and we didn't regret it.Kaze’s atmosphere is warm and welcoming. It’s a dine-in restaurant with high chair seating. They asked us to wait and sit for the free roll, and offered us water. The server welcomed us with a smile and attended to us very quickly, ensured that we had what we needed. We ended up ordering trays and a couple of rolls, in which they offered miso soups on the house to warm us up. There’s also complimentary tea they offered to all the guests, which was a plus since it was pretty cold outside. They ensured that we understood all the ingredients in the dishes.For the Kamen Ramen offer, you are offered one of three (iirc) basic rolls like Spicy Salmon Roll, California Roll, etc. We picked the Spicy Salmon because I seem to like that one best anyway. It was so delicious that we ended up ordering another roll. The rest of the rolls and trays were also delicious, nicely garnished with green onions and these decorative little white balls. The portions were standard but the taste was great and the designs and style were innovative. We also went with the chef’s choice rolls which were also interesting.A fun little info: if you also want to have ramen as well as sushi, you’re able to order anything from the Kamen menu to be brought to Kaze. That’s something we would’ve liked to know before ordering anything because we would absolutely love to have ramen with our sushi! So if they’re running out of space at Kamen, Kaze would be a good alternative spot. “They have SO many options for cheaper prices than many of the boba places I've been to. The staff was also sooooo friendly and energetic lol. The atmosphere is very aesthetic, and very pretty (played kpop music too, so def for the kpop girlies lol) The chicken and fries were pretty good. It seemed like the portion size was small, but it actually took a while to finish (then again, we were talking while eating, so it may take shorter if you weren't talking). And they also have a lot of options, so u don't necessarily need to pick the boba+chicken/fries combo (although they're well-known for it). I got the strawberry green tea drink and I was honestly worried that it'd taste a lot like green tea (which im not a fan of), but it didn't as much as I thought it would. There was still the green tea aftertaste, but the strawberry was strong enough to overpower it and make the drink enjoyable(for someone who isn't a fan of green tea). So imo it tasted exactly how it should have tasted lol. We also tried the tteokbokki and the rice cake was very chewy and the sauce tasted good. It was our first time trying tteokbeokki, so I can't give a comparison to other rice cakes, but it was very good. However, I'd recommend if you're buying the regular size (not the large option, idk abt that), and buying for the rice cake experience, to get rice cakes as a side (extra rice cakes) because ours had only had 4, but, it was full of other sorts of things, (i think kimchi and fish cakes). Then again, I wouldn't know because it was our first time trying it and it was pretty good lol. I would say that the store is a bit small, so if going with a large group you probs won't have a lot of seating space. There were 4 of us, and we took up 1 table and had 2 extra seats, and I think there was only a second table beside us. But, you can always order to go and walk around lol. Me and my friends loved it and are definitely coming back again and trying different things on their menu cuz there's quite a lot lol (probably gonna try the rose Tteokbokki and the volcano chicken wings). Overall super enthusiastic staff, pretty good food, and the restaurant is clean and cute.”

Soup: I tried the crab meat soup. Excellent. Depth, body, and classic Hakka vibe in the essence and taste. I'm sure the Hot and Sour soup is great as well.2. Chicken drumsticks: These are a classic Hakka dish and this is the only Hakka place I've seen that can serve it with demi-glace. They have a dry option as well. Very garlicky and spicy as it should be. Frenched chicken legs were large and their coating was crispy. Awesome. Just as it would be prepared in Chinese restaurants in India.3. Chilli chicken: Of course, and they made it good. I asked for semi-dry. It's on par with the best I've tasted in the GTA which was at Little Tibet in downtown Toronto.Food was piping hot, portions were large, and overall presentation was excellent. If you ask for the highest spice level, you will leave warmed up. They are very generous with the ginger and garlic which is the basis of Hakka dishes.This resto has a younger vibe to it. There are many TV's, a bar layout that would appeal to younger people, and music choice that the would appeal to sub-40 diners. The murals on the walls are also quite interesting.Interior was extremely tidy, nicely laid out, and service was fast.The server was extremely attentive and prompt and friendly.I am confident in the chef's skills to be able to try some of the other Hakka dishes here. “Stopped by to grab samosas and they were made freshly and deliciously. Packed them in a nice packing and a paper bag. Menu had plenty other items and the ambience inside was pretty good. Definitely worth trying.”
“This is the best Mandarin location. At other Mandarins they will occasionally run out of a certain dish and it takes a while to replenish. But here they never run out. They replenish before they run out. Everything is fresh and plentiful. I go here even though I live in Toronto and live near another location.”
