Chopan Grill Afghan Restaurant

If you want great authentic Afghani food, this is the place! Servings are big, chapli kabab is excellent. If you want fancy ambiance, probably not the place to go! Though the 'takhats' aka raised-floor seating gives an authentic vibe.

We came into Chopan Grill because we were taking visiting relatives staying at a hotel nearby for lunch. The wife looked up the place, saw it had good reviews, and suggested it. The place was empty when we walked in so I was skeptical at first, but ended up having the Sultani Kabob with naan dish for the 4 of us and we were blown away by the food. Chopan Grill had good halal Afghan food! We had a variety of different kebabs + platters and we weren't dissapointed but we didn't love it either. The staff were nice but the atmosphere isn't welcoming. Everything looked out-dated and it lacked cleanliness. It took long for the food to come out even though it was not busy.
