Always great to have some authentic Indian food. This is a real hidden gem of Ottawa, a really underappreciated Indian restaurant. Have been here several times and it's always a treat.
TLDR: The Kerala beef was flavourful and tender. The parotta was flakey and delicious. Plain rice was ok, nothing special. "Salad" was a joke, a light sprinkling of chopped lettuce, cucumbers and carrots. The rasgulla was way too sweet and oddly squeaky. My husband had a function in the South Keys area. We ordered chicken biryani boxes at max hot spices. I also ordered 2 samosas and we took it home. The chicken was cooked properly and was very tasty and the basmati rice was also a great complement. The yogurt reitha was watery, unlike my wife's. It was decent but nothing comparable to hers. There was so much to eat that I didn't have room for a samosa so it's waiting for me in the fridge.
