Not sure what's with all the complaint about it being over priced. But you get what you pay for. You can taste the quality of the goods. So just pay what you are worth and please stop complaining about not being able to afford it if you can't.
I tried Hattendo for the first time over the weekend and loved it. Firstly, the store is a little tough to find as it's tucked in a corner near the Bay entrance and it's tiny. The cream buns are delicious. I bought ten, tried all the flavours and found that matcha was my favourite. I know some say it's expensive, but when you consider the prices of all higher end dessert like macarons or cream puffs, I actually think their prices are reasonable. Like eating a delicious cloud! These cream buns come in a variety of flavors such as matcha, red bean, orange and original. It is literally a soft pillowy bread surrounding a cream filling. It not too sweet or heavy but have a smooth, milky and creamy filling. The bun is light as air and so delicious and just melts in your mouth!
