We opted to give this establishment a chance, but were deeply disappointed. The beef braised soup was unpalatable, to the extent that we couldn't bring ourselves to finish it. The rest of our orders proved to be just as challenging to consume. Overall, the food was a letdown; both quality and taste were severely lacking. And there is no service at all.

Usually go to northern dumpling. They were closed so we decided to try this place. Beef braised soup was nasty! Couldn't finish. Everything else we ordered we could barely eat it. Food is not good! Quality and flavor is zero.

Food is excellent. You can see the ladies folding Dumplings Pork & Leek and are made fresh to order (15) for10.99. Dumplings are very juicy.Be careful when you first see biting into them ... they are very hot and soupy.The Pancakes filled with leek, egg and glass noodles are my fave 3 for $7.99Pan fried pork dumplings are 6 for $7.99. Nicely crisped on the bottom.Place was very packed on the weekend. On Week nights are plenty of tables tho.Place is low key but not much service here. I've been a regular here for years. Pre and post pandemic. I have to be honest that during the pandemic I dined here when things started to open up and the quality wasn't what I was used to. But gave it another chance and glad I did because the quality is back up to my memory of it pre pandemic. This place serves the best green onion pancake I've ever had in the GTA. The steamed dumplings are amazing (my fav, chicken and mushroom), the garlic pea shoots are so crunchy, garlicky and great quality as they use young shoots. Prices have gone up a bit and portions got a bit smaller post pandemic but I find that to be the case everywhere. Service is fast, food is hot and comforting. You can't go wrong. Stir fried noodles are perfectly cooked. Stewed chicken mushroom glass noodles are so good too. The interior could use a face list but hey...you're there don't a good, comforting , delicious meal that doesn't break the bank.
