Tried the chocolate cake and butter tarts The chocolate cake had a ton of frosting and was really good and the butter tart was also very tasty You get to decide how big of a slice you want for the cake and they cut it for you! Have to comeback for the bread ? ?
Hands down the BEST pies and pastries in the East Danforth area. Brought a pumpkin chiffon (with gingersnap crust) pie to Thanksgiving dinner and it was one of the best pies we’d all had in a long time. Also got a butterscotch cream pie from here once and it was incredible. The little cake slices and cookies on the front counter never disappoint. The peanut butter miso cookies are a must try. I tried the hummingbird cake. It was OK, but I found it overly sweet. I would like to go back and try some other things. To be fair, based on their website that mainly featured pies, I had expected that they sold pies and had gone with the intention of getting one. If instead I’d eaten this cake with coffee to balance the amount of sweet icing, I think I’d have enjoyed it more.
