“As a non-vegan, Tsuchi cafe's food was really good. I was very surprised by how delicious it was. Though they have a limited seated area, this place is definitely a must try. I loved the Karepan and the walnut brownie. The pistachio natcha tart was okayish. The flan was really good!“
“I recently visited Issho Bakery and was impressed both times. My first try was the Green Onion Cornbread Muffin, which had a perfect balance of savory and sweet, and was delightfully buttery. This visit, I tried the Kimchi Cheddar Scone and Hojicha Caneles. The scone was buttery with a nice touch of black sesame. The canele was the best I've ever had, with a crispy exterior and richly flavored inside. The espresso drinks, a macchiato and flat white, were quite fine too.The space is small but cozy, though a bit crowded with a line inside. This spot is definitely a gem in our neighborhood and looks like it's going to be very popular. Keep up the great work, Issho! We need more fantastic stores like this around!“
“Just visited this place yesterday and we could smell yumminess outside. We tried their Big Bang Waffle with Dulce De Leche and my sister had it with the Burnt Toffee… it was wow! Try them out! So worth it! And their staff are nice also! ☺️“
“Just finished a Rhubarb Fritter. OMG - still hot and friggin unbelievable. I understand why they have to limit people to 2 per order. It was passionless the best pastry treat I’ve ever had. They also have the best butter tarts in the city!“
“Just wow!! My new favorite bakery in downtown Toronto!!Well priced, amazing food and great friendly service. The actual baked goods is light years above other bakeries. When u first see their breads and their pastries I didn’t think they looked that extravagant or fancy but once you try them the flavour is amazing!! Would highly recommend! We had the curry bun, which was amazing, the potato and bacon bun, also amazing. Three cheese bread which didn’t look like there was much cheese but literally was bursting with flavour with a nice crunchy exterior. Also had strawberry and blue berry danish! Both amazing, which were so different than the typical grocery store bakeries!!Definitely will be back!!Also if u buy 6 baked goods there’s a discount which I love!!“
“Delicious buttery patties and the friendliest service! We had a curry chicken patty and a beef one in a coco bun. The coco bun was freshly made and they usually serve it with some, cheese tomatoes and sauces (I didnt want any of the works). We’ll definitely be back to try out the other patty dishes!“
“I ordered a cake for my anniversary this year from the vanilla bite. It was honestly perfect. I didn’t know what I wanted so when I asked for a recommendation saying that “I wanted something light and fluffy” and Dannah came through. She recommended her Japanese sponge cake turned strawberry shortcake. It was amazing. Definitely light and fluffy and just the right amount of sweetness. You could taste the flavour of the cake, icing, and strawberries in a complementary way. We will definitely buy another cake from here on our next special occasion. Delivery handoff was perfect too, super professional. Sorry no pictures though… we were too excited to eat it.“
“Absolutely outstandingly executed pastries and desserts and absolutely delicious. Chef Engin and his team are experts. If you need something very special or even just a snack or a breakfast pastry, you won’t be disappointed. Highly recommended. You will be very happy you tried Sweet Addictions!“
“I recommend that you get at least one of everything! The desserts, lunch food and coffee are all delicious, and the atmosphere is beautiful. Every celebration in my family has a Vegan Danish Bakery cake or cupcakes. The raspberry white chocolate cheesecake is to die for, while my favorite lunch items are the mushroom melt and the vegan chicken parm sandwich. You can also purchase a take-home frozen mushroom and spinach lasagna that is delicious. The owner and staff are lovely and they really care about their business and their customers.“
“We went on the weekend and tried a bit of everything. Butter tarts, lemon cake, flourless chocolate cake, banana bread. It was all delicious. Service was great and they were super sweet to my daughter who wanted to pay with her own money (a handful of coins).“
“This place makes the best croissants and Kouign-Amanns in Toronto by a huge margin. It’s no coincidence that they supply many high-end cafes and restaurants. I know this because I asked at two different restaurants and they pointed me back to this little unassuming bakery and coffee shop, which also apparently is into wholesale. It’s comparable to good croissants in Paris.“
“This adorable spot near my home is my go-to for Fusion Korean desserts. The variety of sweets and particularly the drinks offer flavors that are hard to come by elsewhere. Yes, it's on the pricier side, but I find the quality and uniqueness justify the cost. Silly me, only recently did I discover there's additional seating upstairs—a fact I wish had been made clearer from the get-go. Despite this oversight, my affection for this cafe hasn't waned. It remains a cherished destination for those special treats that remind me of flavors I'd struggle to find.“
“Absolutely amazing!! Honestly the best sandwich shop in Toronto! I didn't know a sandwich could taste so good until I tried Grandma Loves You. The freshest and best quality ingredients. I could literally eat here everyday. And the small business owners Artin and Sarah are the nicest people you'll ever meet! So kind and generous it's heartwarming. The energy and customer service of all the staff too makes for such a joyful experience every time. And I recently placed a catering order for a large event, and everyone after their first bite was in love with Grandma Loves You! Definitely recommend!!“
“Gorgeous venue even though it’s very small, not many outlets (or any?) to charge stuff but incredible sunlight coming in! The bathroom is very clean and the food + drinks are typical quality so no complaints! Theres a large wall used for holding jackets too.Kid-friendliness: Lots of kids were chilling at the tables when I visited“
“Omg... the cherry Danish is AMAZING... first time going in here to grab some sweets with hubby.. we grab some cherry Danish, chocolate melon bread and a beef curry bread.. The cherry Danish took us out.. they are so delicious, they are so favorable... I want to go back and grab a box of them.. the teller that was there was so kind , told us that their melon bread is almost like a Mexican concha, but BETTER and he ain't lied about it, it's soft and has more taste to it, he was so nice and kind.. definitely going back for more danishes and other things to try out..10 ⭐️⭐️⭐️s if you ask me..“
“I ordered 2 dozen strawberry vanilla cupcakes for my daughter’s Simchat Bat. They were really cute, good ratio of cake to frosting, the cake was moist and tasty and the frosting was yummy! Overall very sweet, and it may be a personal preference, but for me both the cake and frosting needed a little salt to balance the sweetness. I would definitely order again!“
“My favourite is the salmon sandwich on brioche. And the coffee is amazing. Also, these are the best croissants in Canada. Literally. I went to croisanteries in Montréal and they don’t even stand close. And no one in Toronto does better croissants.“
“The service at patisserie royale is always fantastic! Very warm and welcoming staff, Hassan helped us figure out what to buy and was incredibly friendly and gave us a great experience :)The pastries are always phenomenal, I drive from Oshawa all the time to come and get them and they are worth the ride“
“This cafe in Midtown is so cozy and comfortable. I really enjoyed the relaxing music there. The sandwich was tasty, and they serve excellent coffee in real cups with saucers, not just paper ones. It's no wonder this place is so popular, especially with such friendly owners.A small, cozy and cute cafe located in midtown. The sandwiches are delicious, and the latte is served in a proper coffee cup and saucer, not just a paper cup for takeout. The Korean owner couple are also very friendly, so it's no wonder that this place is popular with locals.“
“I accidentally stumbled across this place as I was looking for a last minute cake for my daughter’s bday and OMG. Even my friend who is a baker was VERY impressed. I’ve gone back many times since. Highly recommend the white chocolate raspberry buttercream with vanilla “
“Ordered a black forest cake and was not disappointed! It was hands down one of the most beautiful and tasty creations I've ever had the pleasure of indulging in. The staff are incredibly helpful and accommodating as well! Wonderful experience overall - will be returning.“
“This new place is so lovely with its beautiful decor and ambience. My friend really enjoyed her smoked salmon with potato pancakes (which I can attest was yummy!), but I was disappointed with my chicken schnitzel sandwich. It was only okay. If I came back, I would definitely get what my friend had ordered. At first, the dessert variety was enticing, but, upon inquiring further, there were only really about 4 available cakes out of the many on display. The one we wanted wasn’t available so we got the Tirumisu, which was tasty. We appreciated the kind gesture of a cake and small toasts on the house.I wasn’t necessarily wow’d by my first experience, but I’d be willing to try the potato pancakes if I came back.“
“The waffles and the croissants are both the best I've ever had, the coffee is really good and for as upscale as this place looks, I feel that the prices are very reasonable. Don't ask about Fred though, no one's ever seen that guy ?“
“This is one of the best cookie shops i’ve ever been to. This rivals Craigs Cookies (if not rivals, then supersedes them), where Craig’s has one dough flavour with many different unique additions, this shop has the best flavour combinations. So much variety in the flavours and the dough as well. The service was fantastic and the owner Foxie is so personable and welcoming. Hands down will be back again and again and again.“
“Just made a 5K walk to visit this cute little bakery. Everything is so remarkably adorable in there and there really is something for everyone with a sweet tooth.I bought a slice of tres leches cake and a vanilla cupcake: both are mind blowing. The tres leches cake was so fresh, moist and milky... just the way it should be. It made my day.The wonderful lady at the counter was so sweet and welcoming. I will be returning. I love that everything is baked daily and on site. Thank you :)“
“Yummy!!! So good, had the traditional, big mac, butter chicken and roasted mushrooms. They were so good. The sauce, both chimichuri and nasty sauce, worked well with everything. The nasty wasn't spicy enough and could go up a few more notches, but that's because of preference. This sauce just complimented everything. I went back and got more....The alfajores cookies.. let me tell you, i ate them all. Refused to share.“
“A gem of a bistro boulangerie patisserie in the heart of WQW. I’ve passed this place many times and just recently got to try it. I should have stepped in long ago!I went for a mid afternoon snack and tried their Kouign Amman, the brownie, the pistachio chocolate croissant, the blueberry tart and all were amazing.I didn’t expect much from the brownie, but it turned out to be really good. It was chewy and fudgy without being too rich. The Kouignamman had just enough crunch and softness inside to make it to the top of my list. The blueberry tart was perfect, the crust and filling ratio was just right, the crust was delicious.I can’t wait to return and taste the rest.“
“I ordered the complete taster set because "why not?".Shannon was super easy to work with. Kwento bodieddd!I opened the boxes alongside my partner and we gasped at the beauty of them. Delicious. My favourite is the Vanilla Cardamom with Yema and Salted Caramel.5 stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Will always recommend!“
“My mom used to bring me here when I was about 5 years old and I loved their walnut cakes.. I'm 34 now and I still love their walnut cakes! I could honestly eat about 10 in one sitting lol! Sadly I don't live in the area, but when I'm around, I make sure to always go to Hodo Kwaja. I highly recommend this place! Absolutely delicious and the service is so fast and friendly!“
“We tried the cappucino, cookies and cream, vanilla, italian custard cannolis. Each one was unique and delicious. We also tried their caffe latte and caramel latte, we recommend both. The staff were friendly and quick in terms of service. We also liked that they give back to the community as the time we went, they were giving $1 back from every latte purchase to Concord in the City.“
“I ordered the 6'' passionfruit flavoured birthday cake. As I picked up the cake, I also took a triple chocolate cake-in-a-cup. This is not a bakery where you can choose your pastries inside. There is a counter for orders and the menu is displayed, so go with what you have in mind. It's a bit pricey but the pastries are extremely fresh. I was surprised by the size of the birthday cake, which I thought was ridiculous. However, from the very first bite of the cake, which had a strong passion fruit flavour, I enjoyed it and so did everyone else. The cake cup was also very tasty and if you like chocolate, the triple chocolate won't disappoint. Should I order from them again? Most definitely, I highly recommend it.“
“Outstanding customer service by owner! The strawberry shortcake had Two layers pf sponge cake w/fresh cream center and it was covered in flaky layers of white chocolate with fresh large strawberries!!! Absolutely fresh and decadent! Will definitely be ordering from you again. We look forward to come try your food as well. Grazie Joseph!“
“My partner is not a vegan and he said the donuts are 10/10 and also he loves fritters and he said the chocolate banana fritter is the best he’s ever had. I’m obsessed with the carrot cake donut and the red velvet donut. We have tried so many of the donuts and they’re all great but some are perfect.“
“Excellent ? ? and ? at Patisserie 27!Truly, this is a very good and fresh French pastry place. It is one of those small places where you get amazing bread, cakes and macarons. If you are in Toronto but dream about the French towns and cities where every street has its good boulangerie, you are in luck. This is one of those. If you are early or lucky enough to get their eclairs, I highly recommend them. The texture of the cream is flawless and they are not sweet. The fruit tarts are delicious, the macarons have the perfect balance between crustiness and mushy softness. Try the cookies and you'll be enchanted.Lastly, the "sound" of the baguette ? is so French ... You know, when you squeeze it and you hear the crustiness ...“
“It's always nice to see something Hungarian around here, although the kürtöskaláchs were less like the ones at home. Budapest highlights: Pál apostle street sign from the 23rd district, some authentic ceramic bowls, Budapest hanging corridor wall decor. It's always nice to see something Hungarian around here, although the kürtöskaláchs were less like the ones at home. “Recently got to try their cake...flavor, looks all 10/10. the entire process from ordering to delivery was seamless. got to speak to the baker Maliha and she is super sweet, listened to you requirements & hand holds you thru the process if needed. the cake was deli eted on time and the delivery process was really professional. the cake arrived packaged to perfection. the cake looks gorgeous and tasted so so good. can't wait to order again from Patel Bakes. do give them a try. btw tried their tiramisu in a Jar and it was delish ( an I am not even a tiramisu person) thank you fr making my day super special“
“The classic hearth (sourdough) is the real deal. My only complaint is that it’s too good. I didn’t know bread could be so satisfying. Is it really just flour and water? Something really interesting is going on here, and I hope to come back and try more.“
“The pastries are a bit pricey but very tasty. I was a little disappointed by the selection of drinks as I do not drink coffee. But all in all would visit again.Wheelchair accessibility: There's two or three steps to get into the space.“
“These pies are the best I’ve ever had! The Pepper Steak, Chicken Mushroom, Beef Stew, and Veggie Chilli are some of my personal favourites. I love that there are many delicious options available for both meat lovers and vegetarians! The pies are flavourful, and the quality of both the crust and fillings is top-notch. I like that the availability of frozen pies means you can easily enjoy a delicious, high-quality meal that's convenient to prepare and truly satisfying. I regularly restock my freezer with these pies, they come in really handy as part of my weekly meal plans or when I have guests over!“
“I was wandering around the area and saw a line up at this shop. I popped in and am so glad I did. It's small but they are well organized and efficient. I ordered a peameal sandwich, scone and sourdough bread. The sandwich was delicious!!! I tried saving the scone but after breaking off a piece to try, I couldn't stop. I will definitely return to try more delicious treats.“
“Decent prices for a lot of different Chinese baked goods. Delicious steamed pork bum & pastry egg tart are my favorites.items are already pre-packaged individually or in a pack of 1, 2, or 3 in each pack. So no worries about contamination & uncleanness. Some items sold out quickly depending on dates & time. The store is pretty clean & nothing fancy about it. Basically, just get what you want & get out.No sit-in at all. cash-only & a minimum charge for debit.“
“In love with this adorable little café located in Midtown Toronto. Their coffee, paired with sweet and savory treats, is the perfect combination. The small yet charming ambience, along with the friendly staff, adds to the overall experience. I am grateful that this café is just a short walk away from my neighbourhood. I would visit again to try other items from their menu.Highly recommended if you live around Davisville, Eglington and Mt Pleasant area.“
“As the name suggests the experience is luxurious and a bit pricey.Everything looks so colorful and like a piece of artWe had dark chocolate cherry which we liked very much and the pistachio sphere which didn’t contain a lot of pistachio and didn’t taste like it.We liked the cherry chocolate more“
“Great coffee, amazing pastries/baked goods, lovely cozy little space with adorable decor.I do wish their menu was placed in a more noticeable space, not by the front window where it is incredibly difficult to see on a busy weekend when the space is packed.Name and price cards on the pastry display would also be great, to make things easier for guests and the staff! They wouldn’t have to repeat themselves over to so many people asking what things are or flavours they have.“
“What a wonderful bakery. I walked in one day and bought their bread and cookies and I was thoroughly impressed. I have become a regular now. Their oatmeal-chocolate cookies as well as their double chocolate cookies are my favorite. It is economical and just wonderful. Andrea is a very nice, courteous man and it is evident that he cares about what he makes. The best part was I went one day and they had some bread and cookies but they did not sell it to me because it was old. That kind of honesty from a bakery makes you a returning customer.“
“Get cultured and step in a part of Italy in the heart of Queen west, the ambiance is good SUPER Friendly staff. Great Pastries, Pizza and sandwiches. They are not cash friendly but they do take other forms of legal payments. cash tips are perfect.their grocery selection is also an amazing addition, you can find finest cheese, eggs, delI, Pasta and best of all Wine.“
“Imagine being transported to Piazza navona but in Toronto. Brilliant food and amazing service. Come from far and wide it's worth the trip, even if you don't take the subway that is literally right beside the place, and not extortionist prices to boot!“
“I love the donuts here and if you don’t tell your friends that it’s vegan, they can’t tell the difference!Giving it 4 stars because the service isn’t great. I found the staff to have a don’t care attitude ( I’ve visited many a times).“
“A nice coffee house to work / chill at. The spot smells of freshly baked goods and coffee. They have a beautiful selection of cookies, muffins and pastries. Banana walnut muffin and the lemon loaf are my two favourites thus far. Delicious coffee, free wifi, friendly crew. Bathrooms are available as well!“
“Caked Coffee is on a mission to change the world. They make delicious food and delicious coffee and tea. They do not charge money for drinks, and that creates a beautifully warm and inviting atmosphere. This is a truly unique bakery and coffee shop. I have never met such wonderful people that I now consider to be a part of my family. My new favorite menu item is the tofu scramble croissant. 100% vegan. 200% delicious.“
