Gryfe's Reviews
Customer service was amazing and the bagels were good, just wished the luxurious had more of a smoked salmon taste.
I think they have one of the best bagel in the city. They are not Montreal style and to me that's a good thing.
So, this is an amazing place and a true Toronto staple. Its been around for very long time and should be respected as a Toronto institution fir quality food and for its sheer longevity.
However, the service has really plummeted since the renovation. Slow, confused service really ruins the experience. I see frustrated customers every time I go. Not sure if its a training thing, a capacity thing, or what, but its the only reason I am giving it 4 stars to let management know...read full review

Gryfe's is a unique spot known for their delicious bagels. They offer a variety of flavors, including the popular everything bagel. The bagels are soft, aromatic, and worth trying. Customers have praised the bagels as soft, pillowy, and with a slight bite from the crust, making them perfect for breakfast sandwiches like the Loxurious. The cream cheese is also smooth and evenly spread, with fresh, crispy veggies that add no moisture. The staff is friendly and helpful, creating a welcoming atmosphere. While the bagels are often praised for their quality, some find them a bit too soft or note that the Danish can be soggy. Despite this, Gryfe's impresses with its chewy yet light bagels that are substantial and satisfying. The challah bread, available on Thursdays and Fridays, is also a hit. Overall, Gryfe's is recommended for their tasty bagels, making it a worthwhile visit.
