Perfect for a quick and pocket friendly takeout meal, combos are a great value. And, combo 2 consisting of noodle/rice, 2 gravies and vegetable is sufficient to be shared between two people.The food especially the noodles can be a bit too oil but it is yum. The vegetable stir fry, chicken fried and the pork in the green gravy our my favourites.The owner is friendly and warm.
From the first moment you arrive in this restaurant the stuff gives you a pleasant feeling. Very warm hosts, it is a kind place to pass time with friends or with your date. Great meals, qualified chief cook and stuff, decent cost and generous service. Warmly recommended.
Many of the smaller Chinese restaurants on St.Clair Ave. West are not known for their decor and in this regard, Joyful House does not disappoint. The floor and walls are rather dull looking but the food is not.I believe the owner is also affiliated with the grocery store next door and so has plenty of fresh vegetables on hand as well as other supplies necessary.
