“Stopped in for dinner while visiting the city for a girls hockey Tournament. Our group sporadically showed up throughout the course of an hour. Our waitress was more than happy to accommodate moving children and parents at one table and kids at another. Julia was fun and kind which led to a relaxing environment and not having to worry about loud girls and silliness.
Orders, drinks and meals all came fast and served with smiles.
We were also treated with an A cappella choir which was a wonderful treat!
We would revisit!

Ordered the caesar salad to start, loved the mixed greens and that it was lightly dressed, unfortunately the dressing was very peppery which made it a bit too spicy. For the mains, the green pea and Lemon risotto was perfect and creamy, the add on salmon was just on the edge of being overdone. The B67 burger was tasty and juicy, great fries but the sambal ketchup was too strong and overpowered the other flavours of the dish. Currently they only had one cocktail available which was a bit disappointing, as in the past they had some fantastic ones. Atmosphere was great and staff is always pleasant.”

“We recently tried the full tandoori chicken at Maimana Naan & Kebab, and it was excellent. The flavor was a bit different from the usual tandoori chicken, with what seemed like an Afghan-style touch that made it unique and memorable. The chicken was juicy on the inside, nicely crisp on the outside, and cooked perfectly. The spice blend was well balanced and very flavorful.

My only suggestion would be to improve the value by making it more of a complete meal. Adding a couple of naan breads along with some salad or rice would make a big difference and complement the chicken perfectly.

Overall, the chicken itself was outstanding, and we really enjoyed it.”

“J7 Ramen — first time trying it, and we really enjoyed it! The ambience was quiet, relaxing, and pleasant, and the service was quick.

We tried the green spicy chicken ramen, miso chicken ramen, and shoyu chicken ramen. Each broth was delicious and had its own distinct flavour. The ramen came with boneless chicken and a boiled egg, which was a nice touch.

We also tried the chicken karaage and dumplings. The dumplings were especially delicious, and the sauce was excellent.

Overall, a great first experience at J7 Ramen. Definitely looking forward to trying more from their menu!”

“I rarely feel compelled to review chain restaurants but this is one of the nicest McDonald's I've been to in recent memory. The manager was super responsive and accommodating when my 2 year old spilled chocolate milk. And gladly traded one of our unopened happy meal toys for a book when my 5 year daughter didn't like the toy. The entire place was very clean, and it was so easy to get on the highway.”

“I bought an extra large dark roast coffee their before noon, and was hanging out in my car on my lsptop using their WiFi. After consuming most of my coffe I had to micturate, and found they had a wall urinal mounted closer to the ground that almost any other I'd seen! The top was only a bit higher than my navel.”

At first, it didn’t seem particularly remarkable, but we were pleasantly surprised. Our waitress, whom I believe was named Lianne, was incredibly friendly and took the time to carefully explain the various menu options to us. The pizza was outstanding and truly reminiscent of what you’d find in southern Italy. We highly recommend this restaurant to anyone seeking excellent service and an authentic Italian pizza experience.”

“We have been ordering from Wing House Express since they opened. The convenience is great as we live in the neighbourhood. However, our last few orders have been lacking quality and customer service. Recently we ordered the game day special, and we were surprised by the lack of onion rings in our order (past orders they have been full to the top), this order would be suitable for one person, not two. We also did not get our dipping sauces, that come with the meal. By the time we realized, it was too late, and my husband didn't want to walk back. The food is amazing, we just wish the quality would improve.”

“In July 2022, I had the pleasure of attending 8-Bit Beans for my grandson's birthday celebration (at the Whitby location). He chose the venue, and it was such a great choice. I even played some retro arcade games, even though I usually consider myself "too old" for that stuff. The overall vibe is why I played the games. I felt like a kid again for just a little while. Tasty (but simple) adult and kid friendly food that was served in a timely manner, and with a smile. The staff were polite and friendly, and the service was top notch. I look forward to returning in the future.”

“Bar Burrito is definitely my go-to for a burrito but I love this location in particular. Staff here are so nice and put care into making my burrito or bowl. They ensure the ingredients are spread out well instead of just clumping everything down in one spot. Its delicious and a Canadian company!!”

“We've been here before, several times actually. The food was always superb, hitting the spot always, both in presentation and in taste. The richest, most flavourful broth in town imho. Monday's dining experience, however, stood apart as one of those meaningful and set apart ones.

Like past visits, were warmly greeted when we entered Pho Sam. The owner (now, Uncle) made the rounds and connected with every guest as he always does. I briefly shared that my son was not feeling well and how Dad used to take us for pho on those sickly days. That I was too tired to make my own pho at home. Plus, I wanted my son to remember the Asian side of his heritage, because we have good and healing food. Yes, we have good food.

Uncle left us to eat when the food arrived ... And THEN ... he did the unthinkable, the sweetest, most unexpected thing. He topped up my broth! Because the broth. Something my Dad would a
do, him being a soup and brothy kind of guy.

Thank you, Uncle for this small act of care. The food you serve is the best in town, but more importantly the way you show care to your patrons is something special and something to write home about. Unknowingly, you came through as my loving Dad, unbeknownst. Someone, I've been missing terribly.

Next time, a cold or flu makes its round around here, we know where we are going to find comfort, honour tradition & heritage, and create new memories.”
