“I was happy that the food was so good here! Sad that they are substituting the halibut for mahi mahi in the miso halibut dish, as the fish in the menu looked really appealing. Cocktails were so pretty. Dessert (gooey chocolate thing) was phenomenal. Table next to us very loud and annoying. Too bad we weren’t seated further from them. Garden gorgeous.“

“Fabulous. The iced tea was terrible, but hubby loved the brisket sandwich and the stout the bartender picked for him was great, he said. I was only up for an appetizer, and the Dirty Fries were really good. Oh, and house made potato chips came with the sandwich and were awesome. Staff did great in spite of how busy it was (long line, but it moved fine).“

“Tight lil place to see live music. Record albums & musical instruments decorate the room. Bar food till 1 a.m.. covers aren't overpriced. Only pet peeve is that there were people camped out at a couple tables 5ft from the stage & a TV on behind the band. The television is pure disrespect to the musicians, it should be off or displaying art, etc when bands are up & the patrons should have moved the table back a bit to allow the dance floor to be engaged instead of forcing most of the people watching to stand in the back. With that said its a cool spot & I expect repeat visits..Vegetarian options: Some items. Veg burger, fries, fried okra, etcParking: Street and a lot or two but may be crowded when there's a show or something going on downtownWheelchair accessibility: Ramp down to the lover lever. Not many low enough tables but a few“

“Gil's is on regular rotation in our house. We dine in sometimes but more often get it to go.The service is always quick, the order is always right and it's an affordable option. The nachos are our favorite in town and we love the pretzel with cheese. The Brisket Bahn Mi is a definite must try and so are the wings. Warning, the habanero orange are SO spicy, we like spice but these are too much to enjoy. Go with the honey mustard! And a great selection of beer of course. If you've never been, don't hesitate.“

“We split the salmon cakes from the appetizer menus. They were outstanding. We followed that with the blue cheese salad with candied pecans. Very good though a bit too sweet for me. Finally we split the fish and chips. Because the first two items were so flavorful, the fish and chips fell flat and dull. No spice. My wife had a very good alcohol beverage. The blood orange margarita. I stuck with beer. Overall very good. Good service. Prices were probably average for Ashland. The look of the place is very appealing with exposed brick and dark woodwork. Location is perfect if your going to a play.“

“Ok so they DEFINITELY need to better stock their bar because I asked about 3 different drinks and they didn't have the liquor for ANY of them. That being said I LOVE the vibe here!! Me and my friends are now recommending ALL our bar friendly friends hit this place!! It may be small and tucked away but the bar tenders are hella awesome and I have NEVER felt unsafe here unlike in Medford bars. Thanks for an awesome place but get that bar stocked lol we need sweet drinks too lol“

“First thing to note - the restaurant is downstairs from Kobe Japanese restaurant, but there's no sign on the street level, so it can be a little confusing.Once you find it, though, it's a great experience! I am gluten free, and this is the next GF pizza I've ever had. They make their own GF pizza dough and it's amazing. Taste and texture are the closest to the gluten kind I've had in the past 3 years. For the first time, I felt like I was just having pizza, not a consolation prize! Be warned that there is a high chance of cross contamination as everything is made in a shared kitchen and oven. The pizza was a bit pricy, at $24 for a 14" cheese pizza (including a $4 upcharge for the GF crust), and the service was a bit slow, but the people were very kind and the food delicious. I would definitely return.Dietary restrictions: Gluten free crust option, but the kitchen and oven are shared so there's a high probability of cross contamination.“
