“I stopped by today to get a coffee for my wife and was met with one of, if not the nicest, most knowledgeable, and friendly owners I have ever come across in the coffee industry. This owner made an amazing vanilla latte and gave me a try of her signature cold brew. if you live in the pdx, this little shop in Banks has hands down the most affordable and delicious coffee. Puts Starbucks to shame.“

“My partner has a Brazilian background and is also fairly picky... but he was raving over the cake he got here. Something with pineapple? He said it wasn't overly sweet and was made with real whipped cream. He also picked up a Brazilian soda that he hadn't had in 20 years! We'll be back. “Super cute area. Friendly staff. They do everything right there. Fresh grind, hand press and a great expresso machine. The latte was amazing. I feel like it gas been a long time since I have had such a good latte. The scone didn't do it for me, Marion berry(i think) flavor was not there and I am looking for a specific scone when it comes to texture, so maybe this is a me thing and you should judge for yourself. I'll have to try some other things. Everything looked so good.“

“Stopped in on a whim and was so pleasantly surprised!For years after Teavana closed down it’s free standing stores I’ve been on the hunt for a bright and refreshing iced tea that didn’t somehow taste watered down yet filled with a ton of sugar and artificial flavors, and finally my pursuit came to an end at Black Rock!I ordered the Passion Fruit Strawberry IcedGreen Tea With Dragon Fruit and it did not disappoint! Not only was it so delicious, it was really pretty too!The atmosphere was super clean and inviting. Some people were using the table space to do some computer work, while others relaxed on the couch area. Overall cozy vibes if you are looking for a place to spend some time out of the house and either get some work done or just have a chat.The staff were all really nice, and super on top of the flow. There’s a drive through (which is also great if you’re just passing through and don’t want to get out), and they were making it happen seamlessly with the drive through, making every drink ready to order and all equally as presentable and even though it was busy were polite, composed and even took the time to answer my questions at the register and never made me feel rushed.Although I didn’t eat there, the food looked great and I definitely will be back to try it!This isn’t a critique at all but one little thing I will throw in which is, the music that was playing when I came in was Eminem and although we all know Slim Shady has some real bops, the song that was playing was pretty aggressive and objectively controversial so it did feel a pretty out of place for the overall vibe.Once the Eminem song ended and something more chill came on it did seem more fitting. That’s just my personal opinion though! No shade to anyone who was feeling the Eminem. “Recently a brista was attacked by a horrible customer. I am proud of her for defending herself. I understand how some may not agree but she had every right to do what she did. I will be buying my coffee from here moving forward. And I hope that customer leaves FG. We do not need people like that in our community!“

“I stopped by in the middle of a crazy busy day and I wish I knew the name of the barista. She turned my whole day around with a simple gesture of a sweet note on my cup after I expressed my rough morning. She made a lovely suggestion for a beverage close to what I was looking for and it was perfect. Thank you random barista stranger for the extra love today. It was felt and appreciated and it brought a smile to my face. ?“

“Adorable, small gift shop in downtown Hillsboro. I was shopping nearby today in search of some artisan chocolates and another merchant directed me to The Artful Garden. Cute place packed full of unique gifts...great Christmas gift potential: ornaments, jewelry, sweets, art. As for the chocolates, they've got a decent sized selection displayed near the back of the store. I needed 8 boxes for gifts, and not being a big lover of chocolates myself, I let the very sweet and helpful employee make the selections for me. They have a variety of box sizes based off of weight, and pretty good pricing in my opinion. Sweet place with great customer service! :)“

“this was my favorite cafe when i lived in the area in elementary and middle school. my sister would always order the sea cream vietnamese coffee and i would get some boba drink and we would sit upstairs and study & talk for hours. I moved a few years ago and now in college and just recently made the drive to visit again :) telvet is still amazing as always and the Vietnamese coffee still tastes perfect ! it's better than a lot of the viet coffee ive had in oc. I've missed this place dearly and will be back again with my sister soon :)) the burritos are also delicious with some tapatio too ;)“

“I've been both coming in here and going through the drive-through here with my family for years, but it never occurred to write a review because you're not supposed to do that for chains, right?That ridiculous stance of mine ends today. The staff here is always pleasant without being saccharine-sweet or overly effusive about it. Certain coffee chains here give you the impression that the cart is supposed to be wall-to-wall dance pop at all hours and that the staff is supposed to be OB-sessed with whatever you're doing at the moment. The Human Bean keeps it genuine and as pleasant as they can. They're on 10th and Oak FFS: They're trying.As for the coffee, I wish I could say I admire the roast and take it strictly in doppios or cortados. But that's not what I'm here for: I'm in it for what are basically caffeinated candy bars served with chocolate-coated coffee beans on top. They're marvelous, and they meet me in whatever season I'm at.I moved here from Dunkin' Donuts country and didn't think suburban coffee could get much tougher than that. When I moved out here and found out that coffee in Hillsboro was a spectrum that included an anti-vax coffee roaster in an industrial complex and a sexually abusive "bikini coffee" [eww] stand owner, I wanted to show a little more appreciation to the places that were getting it right. This Human Bean location has been just what I've needed more times than I should likely admit. Not every coffee shop in Hillsboro is worth your time--and many should be avoided strictly for one's personal health and safety--but this one warrants a stop.“

“One thing about the Cornelius Dutch Bros is they know how to make a damn drink. It is soooo rare for their drinks to be a miss but you know, everyone has their days. Regardless, I love this location. Nicest people. Greatest drinks and the fastest location I can think of. I live a minute away from the FG location but I’d rather drive 6x more to get nicer people and a better tasting drink. I’ve been to so many locations over the past few years but I have yet to find someone that compares to this location.“

“I’ve been going there for lunch Tuesday and Thursday for the last two months. The portions are amazing , the pork and chicken are legit. The staff is amazing as well. Reading the other reviews it’s hard to believe the portions is a complaint.“

“Be aware that there is NO inside seating or restroom available at this location despite "pick up IN store" being listed on the app. "In store" pick up can be done at the walk up window. Friendly staff, drive thru seems efficient, but not the place to stop if the weather outside isn't great.“
