“Come here for the happy hour and stay for all the foods on the menu. Smoked mussel dish was to die for, Oysters are naturally delicious but the sauces here are amazing especially that green fish sauce, I’d bottle that and sell that immediately! Server was amazing and wish I knew their name so I can shout them out. I didn’t order it but $90 for a tasting per person is just too inexpensive for that quality and amazingly tasty dishes. Just want another shout out for the mussel dish on there March 18th menu. Dish will always be in my mind.“
“Food was adventurous, very flavorful and packs a punch, my favorites were the oysters, cured duck, and the scallops. I also never ate a parsnip so tasty in my life. Service is next to none, they replace all your utensils with new ones and if you leave your napkin to go the bathroom the re-fold or for you and put it on the table. They're very quick and attentive. I love the ambiance not too dark and very romantic. This place is definitely on my list for another date night. It's worth every penny.“
“We got the set menu. Everything was delicious, really inventive plates and it was definitely enough to share for the most part. The only issue was the main was 4 scallops in a sauce, it was good, but would have liked to have a few more to fill up on. Great service and ambience.“
“One of favorite breweries. A hidden jewel of the Portland beer scene. High quality beer in a wide variety of traditional styles and some innovations. Chill and friendly vibe. Dog friendly. Worth going off the beaten path to have a pint or two.“
“G-Love is our favorite spot in town! Every single time I have been has been a lovely experience. I brought a friend here and she later brought her Mom. That’s the G-Love effect. As we finish bites of one dish out comes the next. The service is really phenomenal and the food is always memorable and delicious. I love all the vegetarian options. Kudos to the team here because they understand how to provide a wonderful dining experience from beginning to end!“
“I'm not generally one to write reviews of restaurants unless they hit a high bar. Canard hit that bar and then some. I went with my family for my birthday dinner and every dish was an absolute standout. Additionally, the service was outstanding, cocktails amazing (the digestifs on the menu was a great touch as well ) and a really inviting setting that lets you know you're in a quality restaurant but doesn't feel stuffy. Don't sleep on the steamed burgers too! Will absolutely be returning!“
“Came here for their soft serve and I loved it. I ordered a vanilla soft serve with strawberry dusting and a chocolate cowboy hat. I will say that the chocolate hate tasted a bit like chai so that threw me off a little but I wiped it off. As for the strawberry dusting it didn’t have much flavor but it was fun! It was also a bit too much ice cream for me so maybe I would ask for less ice cream next time“
“I mean wow, so good. So incredibly good! I didn't realize that Plumb is the kitchen located inside of the bar (Deadshot). It was my first time experiencing something like this (maybe I need to get out more) and it was incredible. The food is made to order so patience is key but luckily theres an amazing bar with handcrafted cocktails to enjoy while you wait. We arrived right at 4pm on Saturday evening and were promptly greeted and seated. We opted for a seat right at the bar. I ordered a red wine and my husband ordered a Deadshot. Then we placed our food order. We ordered the cesar salad, grilled cabbage, burger and steak frites and everything was so incredibly good. Fresh, decadent, perfectly cooked and ever so tasty. Of the items we tried, the cabbage dish was our favorite. I've never had cabbage with bechamel, apples and hazelnuts. It was simply divine! Highly recommend checking this place out!“
“Always a wonderful experience. Top notch plant based cuisine with a wonderful twist of flavor combinations.True care and time goes into their menu, tonight we enjoyed house made tempe, sauces, vinegars, and fermented beverages that have been crafting for months.Far more than just a meal Astera delivers a dining experience worth the price of admission.Highly recommend!“
“What an experience! Don’t listen to all the reviews from folks saying it’s “overpriced” as this trend is just ridiculous—Xiao Ye is the definition of you get what you pay for. The service and ambiance is top tier; the restaurant is staffed extremely well and every person was super attentive and nice. Our server also had great food and drink recommendations. As for the food/drinks: I thought everything was stellar. Standouts were the mini Madeleines (I could eat about 50 of these) and the truffle Mac n cheese (so worth the up charge for fresh shaved truffle). The salads and cocktails were also all amazing and complex. My only gripe was the “Jolyn’s favorite noodles” lacked some flavor/spice for somebody that eats a lot of Asian noodles, but they were still a textural triumph imo.I definitely will be back!“
“Staff are very friendly, the atmosphere is relaxed, and the food and drinks are awesome. We had the apple pear beet salad…they were so good. For desert we had the creme brûlée which had the orange flavor in the glaze. Needless to say it was really good as well. Highly recommend this place.“
“This was such a good experience! Erik knows so much about wine and helped us figure out the best fit for our palette. Such a fun night, and we also loved the cheese board. Thank you Erik for being such an awesome guide through the evening of great wine and food.“
“We had a great experience at Toki last night. My daughter and I were in town for a concert and ducked in from the great reviews but they were full for the night which is a great sign for a worthy place. While full for the night, Patrick and Lexi went to work work to create a small space for us as we offered to order take-away but they wanted to get us proper seating. So, hat tip to Patrick and Lexi and the entire service was excellent, and food very tasty and fun to explore with various dishes. No pretention whatsoever, just a hard-working business eager to have patrons be fed well and leave happy. We'll be back for sure!“
“The origins of the name of this pub-like lunch and breakfast restaurant are not known to me. I have had Friday lunch here for nearly 6 years on a regular basis. Just before the Covid plague, the previous restaurant closed and my vice opened. It stayed open, unlike many of the nearby restaurants, during the plague, and eventually flourished. The chef — whom I have not met — is an unlikely burley fellow who is one of the most creative cooks I have had the pleasure of sampling his menu. The creativity is remarkable, especially considering the limited menu of a breakfast lunch type of restaurant. The names of his dishes alone are worth the visit. He also succeeds in keeping the costs down, which makes the decision to drop in a much easier one. It has a full bar with excellent, equally creative, cocktails, and very limited, but well-chosen wines. The service is remarkable, and the waitresses greet me by name when I come in. Totally unnecessary, but totally pleasurable. Every dish recommended below I have had at least twice and sometimes as many as five times. The average, huge, main dish is about $15-$17.Vegetarian options: I am not familiar with the vegetarian options, but there appear to be plenty available and look to be delicious.Parking: 9 Parking places just outside the restaurant as well as street parking nearby.Kid-friendliness: There are not a lot of children there, but it is a friendly, public atmosphere that welcomes kids. They all seem to have a good time. And the servers are more than welcoming to everyone.“
“The food of my people! Genetically anyway. I grew up eating like this and I rarely find a good restaurant that can supply me with dishes which remind me of my favorite time in Oma's house. Don't be afraid to ring the bell, the owner was lovely and it is a welcoming space with fun and beautiful decor in a wonderful building. The dinner menu is extensive, gluten free options abound readily labeled, vegan options are also throughout, and the quality of the food is top notch. Serious love put into it. The drink selection is perfect for all palates, the dessert menu is well rounded without overwhelming, it's an ideal selection of food. Their fermented-in-house ginger beer has zang, the homemade mustard is good enough to eat with a spoon, if it's made there, it's going to be amazing. I perused the breakfast menu, also lots of choices and well rounded for any taste range, I will be back with enthusiasm. There's a joy for food emanating from the place. We dealt with the husband of the husband and wife team who run this place seemingly on their own, and he was a machine. Prompt and accommodating, great fun attitude and skilled at apparently all things that make food happen. On a cold night I was warm by the window at the farthest point from the heater, so that was pleasant. It's an ideal space for a large group or an intimate setting. Parking, prices and portions are pretty Portland-esque, but for around 100 dollars we were over full and happy to have splurged with some extras that aren't necessary to enjoy yourself. The high quality is more than worth it. I am adding this to my 'spots I recommend the shi* out of' list. Use the bigger bathroom unless you are a very small human, I couldn't help but laugh.“
“I love everything about this place. The staff is kind, patient, helpful and knowledgeable. The food is exquisite and unique and the atmosphere is comfortable and welcoming. I even had a phone call with the owner regarding an art piece there and she was so patient and helpful in answering my questions and steering me to where I might find something similar. Top notch customer care in all the senses.“
“The Hot Chicken was very hot. Fried to perfection with house made pickles and fried bread. The fries were even better than they looked with a light seasoning on them. The Kool-Aid soft serve was Pina Pineapple and it was the right finish to the meal.“
“I’ve been here many times and love it. Great food and service. I’d pick this place over Gustavs or any other “German” place any day. If you’re looking for authentic German food not the watered down American version of German food this is the place for you. ?“
“The cocktails and food are definitely worth the journey, but it’s the atmosphere and attention to detail that make Bellwether shine. Has the feel of a French-inspired saloon at the turn of the last century,or something straight out of Paris itself.“
“I find this place to very Portlandish. The vibe is that of Portland to me. The food is okay, the service is good. The view is very nice, you can see west hills from your seat. It is a large place, it can take many people. It’s on the 4th floor of the building and a bit difficult to find. I will return and try something more.“
“Quaint little wine shop/bar located in SE Portland. There's probably 3 little tables and bar seating. They also have a menu for small bites. Perfect place if you don't like crowded bars and are trying to go for a more quiet environment.“
“Love how cozy this bar is! Dim lights and vibezzz. To eat I ordered "Trivia tots" and they were great! To drink, I got the spicy margarita and an IPA. Super cozy, hip atmosphere both upstairs and down. My friend and I hung out at the bar since trivia was going on upstairs and we just wanted to chit chat. I would definitely come back next time I'm in the area looking for a quick stopover!“
“Stopped in for the first time. Reminds me of a loved neighborhood bar/eatery.Arrowood deserves their high ratings. Husband and I had Cheeseburgers, he with salad, me with soup of the day - Curry Chicken. Wow. Burger was perfect, toppings complimented it well. Soup was so flavorful. 2 others in our party had fish and chips, raved about the chips and wished they had more. Last member had the Ahi sandwich. Said it was perfect.“
“Since they moved to the single location in the heart of an office building, they’ve become increasingly harder to enjoy simply due to horribly limited parking and further limiting their hours which also directly overlaps with the times of day to which the large offices in the area are full of employees therefore using all available parking for extended periods of time. Great food and great service if you happen to live within walking distance or think far enough ahead to order delivery and don’t mind paying extra fees and additional tips for couriers.Edit: thanks for the update on the hours :) I’ll definitely keep that in mind!Parking: Little to no parking available during open business hours due to the location being aligned with a large office building with the same business hours that already limits the areas daily parking availability.“
“It's a bar I like very much. The style is very warm and feels like I'm at home. Ryan, the bartender, is very friendly in greeting customers and introducing wines. He is very enthusiastic about his work. In addition, their wines are really delicious, ranging from refreshing to sour! Must come“
“The atmosphere is amazing here. We came on a sunny day and the restaurant has these huge windows that they can open to let the breeze come through. You can also people watch 23rd, which is nice. Our server was an absolute doll. She was very kind, very accommodating, and an overall delight. Amazing service like this in Portland can be hard to come by.The food was honestly the low point. The brussels sprouts and french fries were our favorite things on the menu. The mac & cheese was probably second, but lost its luster once it cooled down. The beet salad was just sad. It only had a couple of beets on it, the tiniest sprinkle of cheese, and a couple of walnuts. The kebabs were tasty, but overcooked. I had a bite of the risotto and the squash was undercooked/under ripe in my opinion.Overall, it was a nice experience and a fun place to go with a group.Dietary restrictions: Lots of GF options here“
“Excellent food & friendly, knowledgeable service. We asked for wine recommendations and they were all spot-on and delicious (and quite generous with the pours). If I had to choose one adjective for Davenport it might be "unaffected"--everything was done very well, without preciousness or pretense. Thanks for a lovely dinner, we'll definitely be back.“
“Amazing desserts this is the location that my family picks every time when we are in the mood for something sweet. The food here for entrees are good as well but usually just stick to desserts. Cozy ambiance and great service all around. Just make sure to call and make sure they are open. There have been few times where they are remodeling or temporary close due to other reasons.“

“Great cozy space, inside and out. Plenty of outdoor seating with shelter from the elements and heaters to stay warm. The winter harvest bowl was absolutely delicious and to offer gluten free fried chicken was awesome. The thighs were perfectly salted and had crispy breading. The sunny egg was cooked just the way I like them with a gelatinous yolk. Can't wait to come back and try more stuff...or maybe I'll just get this again!Vegetarian options: Seems that evening is vegetarian or can be made that way. Meat, eggs, or dairy can be added to anything so perfect for any dietary needs.Dietary restrictions: Safe for wheat allergens and Celiac sufferers“
“Cute little spot to grab a cocktail mixed excellently by such a friendly bartender. Everyone here was welcoming and so nice. The food came out pretty quick and looked amazing. I got the ox tail cheese steak sandwich with fries. The only thing I wasn't a fan of was that the cost of the meal didn't include fries. It was 16 bucks and 3 dollars more for fries. Other than thati would go again and take advantage of the happy hour pricing from 4pm-6pm.“
“We enjoyed a unique and delicious four course set meal featuring foraged ingredients! We really enjoyed the boar bacon, miner's lettuce and watercress salad, and the yummy pavlova. Chef's choice menus are usually wonderful and yours was no exception. Thank you for a fantastic experience!“
“Great food truck! My friend and I got a Nutella and banana sweet crepe. They were very accommodating with allergies, we ended up getting a vegan crepe instead of the regular. We will be going back soon and trying the other items on the menu!“
“What a jewel we just discovered in Gresham!! We could not choose and ordered 3 appetizers that were excellent plus our entrees and a yummy lemon meringue pie for dessert. Good sized portions and the Apple salad was amazing!! The restaurant size is perfect for a dinner for two or four with not too many tables and spread enough apart that you can have an intimate conversation. We are going back for my birthday.“
“Please buy from them! I got their fries and their fry sauce is AMAZING! I came to know the person from sitting at the cartside bar and I’m glad I ordered from them! Such a great person and fantastic customer service!Do I taste a hint of lemon in their secret sauce…? Yum!“
“Very sweet small bar tucked away in a cozy alley. The service was fantastic-got my party of two seated quickly even though we didn’t have a reservation on a Friday. The drinks were great as well as the oysters but the octopus I ordered bordered on being too salty.“
“Random place I found on google maps while walking downtown Portland. Atmosphere was very unique. We could sit on couches to eat dinner. One of a kind. Kids loved it. Place is like a bar/restaurant/living room all in one mix. Food was good. Good vibes.“
“My date picked this spot for a spontaneous lunch date, and we were both so happy we came!I tried the fried Brussels sprouts, which I honestly couldn't have done better myself. They were so tasty, sinfully good even ?She tried the black truffle pasta, and the delicata fritters, and we were both totally blown away by all the food.I'm definitely coming back for more! Gotta try the eggplant parmesan next!!“
“Pop up experience. We really enjoy the space and the vibe of Coopers Hall. Since they're not open on a regular basis anymore we really try to attend their pop up events whenever they're open. Just wish more people know how great this spot is cause we want them to continue to do and offer what they do. Would love it if they have regular Thursday/Friday hours again.“
“I normally do not like hotels for brunch but I really enjoyed Urban Steel Kitchen. The food was excellent and innovative, the service was welcoming and fun and there was no wait. We were there as a family so we brought our own atmosphere and really enjoyed the meal.“
“Birthday dinner for the boyfriend. Almost didn't make reservations, but glad we did as the resturant was nearly full by 5.30. Started with oysters, although small were packed with flavor and the house hot sauce was well balance in vinegar and heat. The tinned fish selection was enticing, and we chose the smoked herring. The amount of fried saltines were perfect...I do wish we had ordered bread to soak up the rest of the oil on the tin.And speaking of regretting not getting bread the tuna with Meyer lemons was served over pureed potato and oil that just begs to be locked off the plate.Do not skip the waygu beef cheek! This has to be the bargain of the menu. We expected a small medallion but got what was easily 6-8 oz of the most tender beef...they brought a steak knife...but you don't need it. The spinach and fresh cheese compliments nicely and for us was nostalgic of going to an old school steak house where you would get steak and a side of creamed spinach, but with a modern take.Almost forgot about the octopus. I've never had more tender octopus in my life. You can cut it with a fork. The boyfriend loved the chickpeas, I found them a little too acidic for my taste but thats my taste buds. For dessert we ordered the Basque cheesecake, creamy, light while still rich. We also go a bonus birthday dessert of ricotta doughnuts that we took home and enjoyed as a late night snack.Great atmosphere, causal and upscale. Perfect for dates.“
“Stopped by here on a Thursday afternoon for happy hour with a friend. We ordered the sliders on the happy hour menu. She had the tuna, I had the burger & bacon. We both slightly preferred the burger & bacon, but they were both super tasty.I really appreciate that they give you a normal-ish portion of fries with the 2 sliders! Some places give you only a little or none at all.Highly recommend.I've been into dry ciders lately and they had Kinda Dry (Portland Cider Co) so a couple of those went well with the sliders. It's an Order at the Bar place. The bar staff was efficient. They didn't give off an immediate sense of friendliness, but once we didn't appear to be wasting their time (opened a tab, got balls to play, ordered food & drinks without indecisiveness) everyone was smiling and things were cool.Later, there was an older gentleman that came around and kinda checked on us that was really nice.If this was my neighborhood, I'd probably be at Sam's a lot. Good pool tables, good drinks, good food, app "jukebox", what more do you want??“
“DING DONG we have a 5 STAR CHAMPION! Fantastic Restaurant, maybe the best French Onion Soup west of France, the desserts are unbelievably good and the Rotisserie Chicken was very good too. Nice selection of Cocktails and super friendly and knowledgeable service.“
“Never a bad meal here. This is my 3rd time here over the years when visiting from out of town. This establishment and Grits and Gravy are definitely my downtown go to restaurants for breakfast. They also have a huge selection of brunch cocktails although I’ve never sampled them because I’m always in town for work.Great service and the staff takes pride in their food. They welcomed me with a beignet and it was quite tasty. It did not need to be bathed in sugar to enjoy it.This time I tried their house specialty, Portuguese Fried Rice with an egg of top. This was exceptionally good with a great combination of flavors and textures.I wish we had a place like this back home in TN. Highly recommend!“
“Sushi burrito? That may not sound appealing at first (it didn’t to me) but Rollin Fresh gets it right. This is not your typical sushi place but that’s what makes it special. Instead of ordering and eating sushi piece by little piece, they put a lot of sushi together for you and wrap it so you can eat it like a burrito. This is an excellent and surprisingly good Portland find.“
“This is such a fun spot! Trying out new games with friends, while enjoying great food and drinks? Yes please! The staff member at the game counter gave us 3 recommendations of games to try- we really enjoyed the 2 we tried. We got 2 appetizers and they were good; nothing to really write home about, but nice flavor. I look forward to coming back again soon.“
“Some excellent selection of unique microbrews in SE Portland. They have an impressive assortment of beers on tap but the real gold here is the micro brew case on the back side of the bar.Honorable mentions to Deftones Phantom Bride , and White Pony both by Belching Beaver, Atomic Jukebox by Fort George, and a beer i purchased strictly for the name ... and bright pink can ...Bunny with A Chainsaw.“
“Bare floor loudness, one room congregational-style seating, mad casual staff. The food is always delightful - TT burgers slap. If you order the Asian Ginger Salad, be sure to get the fried chicken. Otherwise, you get a plate of farm greens with orange slices and some crunch foamy bites. The dressing doesn't elevate it either. Good selection of local brews and wines tho!“
“Hey Love is one of my favorite spots in Portland. Immediately when I walked in for the first time, I fell in love with the ambiance and decor. I love the plants decorating the ceiling and how vibrant it is inside. The food and drinks are really delicious! You can't go wrong with anything. The staff are the nicest folks around. I hosted a birthday gathering here recently and the staff were so sweet and let us occupy the area in the lobby as our gathering space. I really appreciate their flexibility and how welcoming they are.“
“We so love The Underground. The steaks are as good as the Ringside's and the sides are better. And they usually have good jazz; the last two times Tom Grant played. Service too is excellent: prompt and knowledgeable servers. It's just great. Close to ClackMa Town Center.“
