This makes me a little picky about strange things like, employee retention, a love and involvement from owners, a mutual respect among employees, excellence in service, attention to details. Last but not least- knowing their customers- how they like how what when and where is remembered and held somewhat sacred. Being a regular here is being part of a family as staff or clientele. As long as I have breath in my body and they will have me I will host a show here for my own sanity and well being. More places should pay attention to how these people do business on all ends. “Oh my god... the poutine!!! My first time.. and yes, a die and go to heaven moment. Fries smothered in gravy with cheese curds! We just ate at Falling Sky Brewing I had the most luscious cubano! With crispy and juicy shredded pork, ham, cheese and pickles squished to deliciousness. And the perfect amout of mustard... the mustard is what makes it for me! With a side kale ceasar, a perfect pairing. Hubby had the Ruben, with house made pastrami and saurkrawt. Not too sour, on a marbled rye. He loved it. Son had a grilled chicken club with parmesagn garlic fries. Another win! We all drank their homemade ginger ale and root beer.“

“We went here for the first time today, after I had been picking up several DoorDash orders here. I had the best experience my 3 year old had decision remorse once our food showed up and they replaced what she ordered with what she now wanted. My only dislike is that the employees don’t wear name tags so I can’t properly shout out. But everyone in here is great. Thank you!“

But the most wonderful thing about this gem of a restaurant, is the food. Clearly Chef Chad loves food. You can taste it in every bite. He is skilled in creating scrumptious flavors and unbeatable meals. Can't wait to go back! and don't hesitate to order pie and ice cream to round out your meal. “I came here very unsure. Do not like trying new to me things. This restaurant hooked me. The lady was very nice and accommodating and answered my questions. I had the braised beef bowl sub chicken, added cheese and sour cream minus chipotle bbq sauce. It was awesome. It had flavor, a tiny bite that I liked… normally do not like any. The grilled chicken was done, moist and very well seasoned. Not over bearing, but mouth watering. I now have a new favorite!“

“Wow! Never have I ever had such an incredible dining experience in my life. There I was: having the worst day of my life: I was told I only have one day left before going to prison because apparently I had committed “tax Freud”. I knew my last dinner before a life of incarceration must be at the University of Oregon GSH Fredhmarket Cafe. The employee by the name of Anna was so helpful, and even listened to me as I complained about my upcoming inprisonment. After eating my sandwich and talking with Anna I now face the bars of prison with welcome arms.“

“We stopped by here to grab something coming back from a buisness trip and had ordered on toast but for some reason our order didn’t appear … anyways The guy gave us menus and we ordered and we’re out of there withing 10-15 mins 10/10 my sandwich was delicious as was the fry sauce and tater tots!!! “Jackalope is close to my office, so I sometimes stop in to play pinball on my lunch break. I’ve also ended up here on dates a few times.

During the day, the vibe is mostly people grabbing lunch or playing the lottery games. I wouldn’t necessarily choose Jackalope as the start of a date...the lighting is a little harsh for that. It’s more the place you end up after dinner went well, so you decide to take a walk...and then the walk is going well, so you decide to grab a drink and play some pool or pinball.

I’ve only had vodka sodas and tots here, but I enjoyed both. Overall, it’s a fun, casual place to keep a good night going.“

“Family friendly. Good burgers and fries. And kids eat for $5. Let’s say that again $5. Less than McDonalds and your kids can eat real food. The burger from the kids meal is a real, full size burger. Not a kids slider or micro sized version of an adult meal. It doesn’t get more family friendly than that.“

The waitress was friendly, but when I asked for a refill on my soda, she never mentioned that they charge full price for a refill of soda. If knew, I wouldn't have asked for another. Please let customers know so they know what to expect on the bill. Other than that, I was happy with my visit.

“My husband and I took friends to the Sunday brunch Sept 8 to celebrate their 62nd anniversary. I had been there with my sisters about a month ago and was pleased with most everything. I made 10:00 reservations. We got there a little early so the waiter asked us to sit down and they’d be with us shortly. After about a 12 minute wait the same waiter came up to us and asked if we had been helped. I said yes we were waiting for you to seat us. He had forgotten us. We ordered coffee from a waitress. Twenty minutes later and no coffee we grabbed another waitress and asked her to get us coffee. Instead of being offered refills on coffee we had to ask for it. Needless to say we were very disappointed in the service. On the other hand the food was very good. Unfortunately good food alone does not make the best experience. Don’t know if we’ll be back. All but the service was great. 😓“

“We love Bag O Crab.... It always good to go eat here when we are in Eugene. We do not have one in our town so it is kind of treat for us to eat here. The service has always been great and the food comes out fast. The food is constantly good tasting, I never had any thing there that wasn't good.
