“Ordered the Poke-Don and was satisfied with it. I was surprised when I had barely sat down, and my order was ready. I'm pretty safe in saying I won't find myself in Eugene again any time soon, but there were a couple of other items on the menu that I would want to try as well.“

“The quality and quantity of sushi here is better than many more expensive places I've been to! The nigiri especially is large and really melts in your mouth with the slightly warm rice.
Sure the "atmosphere" is lacking, but this is a takeout place. I saw 5 or 6 orders go out the door as I ate. It's cool that they let you eat in if you would like, and the service is good.

“Sarah and chef Don made it an overall great experience. The atmosphere is beautiful, the service was beautiful and the food was terrific. The appetizer was full of flavor calamari was so crisp. Everything was delicious!!. Sarah asked the chef if they could acomódate me in changing the bento box to a sake sashimi and the chef did! They are both awesome my husband and I are super happy, we will definitely be coming back! Thank you chef Don and Serah!! We appreciate your hospitality!“

“Wow. Didn't know what to expect on a date night. We where seated immediately and the staff was very nice. Our order came out perfect and it was all so good. The dining area was unique and very clean. We sat down stairs near the fish aquarium. I look forward to going again. It's only an hour 30 from home so it will be a nice treat when I do.“

“Taro and his staff at Akira provide an atmosphere, quality of food, and elite service that is second to none. I have lived and eaten at high end Sushi houses throughout the West Coast and I can say without prejudice that Akira is the best of the best. I had a decent day going energetically and went in for a date night tonight, and through Taro's great and honest energy, amazing food, and supporting nature, I left happy and uplifted. “I came here for lunch just now and I can't get over how delicious it was.. the woman behind the counter was friendly, attentive and fast. “Seriously. So. Good! I have been wanting to try this cart for a while, the photos always look delicious. Well I can now confirm, it’s even better than in looks. We ordered via Grubhub for delivery. It arrived quickly and the hot items were nice and hot. I really wanted to try a few things so we got the miso soup, the seared salmon sushi balls(YUM!), a salmon sushi donut, the golden shrimp bowl (extra YUM!) and the salmon bowl. Everything was so fresh, the portions were great and everything was so flavorful and delicious. We are stuffed and satisfied and we will definitely be ordering again soon! 10/10“

“Lunch time. We were a couple of hungry men. My nephew ordered Teriyaki Beef. I ordered the Chicken. A good choice, I think. Hot food. Freshly prepared cooks and in our hands. Best prices in this Mall eatery area. Nice flavor. Plenty of food. We were good to go.

I expected a run of the mill restaurant, I was blown away at how nice this place is! Everything from the table to the restroom is very fancy and clean, and the food was just amazing! “Although the food was pretty good, she declined to accept my $50 gift card stating they are only good for one year, when in fact Oregon law states gift cards have no expiration in Oregon. I would have used it sooner, but I ended up with Cancer and was unable to use it. Also nowhere does it state on the receipt or card there is an expiration. The hostess was so kind and actually said she would ask the owner where the original payment went, she called me moments after leaving and said she was told "they just keep the money" I would not recommend purchasing gift cards from this establishment“

“My brother and I love coming in on a regular basis. We ride our bikes there and lock them up outside. We have a certain table that gives us a good view of our bikes. Bonus for Eugene. The service is always prompt and genuinely friendly and attentive. My favorite roll is the Black Widow. Its a Spider roll that is a culinary masterpiece...wow its that good. “Try this place on a win and OMG am I glad I did! Thought I was going out for sushi but ended up going out for Korean bibimbap! Note: GET THE HOUSE SAUCE!

My server was super cool and recommended the Korean menu saying it was down-low one of the better things around and they were right!
