What a great sushi joint. But what really made it outstanding was Gray, our host and server. I came to this restaurant because the other restaurant in the mall would not accept my service dog. Umiya sushi welcomed my dog with open arms, indoor or outdoor seating. I appreciate it that so much. Gray even brought a little water bowl for my dog at the table. Had never eaten here, but I was craving ramen and it was close, so I ordered some for take out. The food was ready quickly and the staff was nice, but the ramen was really disappointing.Rather bland, no soy or umami flavors that you expect from a ramen. No soy eggs. All around a real bummer.

Very happy to finally have found some decent Japanese food. A bit thrown off by the fact that the menu also holds Korean foods but it was also quite good. I wish more tempura was offered for the price and that my chicken had been grilled instead of mixed in sauce with veggies. But the service was really good and quick, and they were able to substitute my sushi rolls in my bento for more rice. Overall, definitely want to come back to try again!
