“Love the SSC! The country side vibe is very relaxing and has that back in time feel. The staff is friendly and welcoming, simple breakfast selections and plenty of yummy looking pastry choices. I had one of their sandwiches, pastry and coffee and enjoyed it all. Nice breakfast getaway spot, that I would recommend to all looking for something different than the typical restaurant chains.“

“I WOULD HAVE GIVEN THE 5, but they missed on time and customer service... the burger on its own was perfectly done. The combination of flavors just worked well. I was hesitant about the Aioli since it didn't say the type. But 10/10. The pot stickers are good. They are a nice crunch to the french fry alternative, 8.5/10. The salad, it's no amazing salad, it's what you expect from a side salad, fresh, crisp, and good dressing, 8.9/10. Service, lady at the register was nice, prompted, and complimented me, 10/10. But lady putting out orders not so much, she cost you a star... PS, I eat very small portions, for me, eating half the burger means it's good“

“Chopstix Grill is a wonderful place to get great mix of Asian food. They serve an incredible variety of flavors and styles from soups to noodles to meats. Also they have great boba drinks to choose from. I recommend this restaurant highly. I am a simple man, so I like to order the orange chicken and sub out the rice for noodles (small up-charge; worth it) because I cannot have rice in my diet. The cream cheese rangoons are so heavenly with the sweet chili sauce. Best of all, the people are so incredibly friendly. They make you feel like family when you step in the doors. I encourage you to order ahead and pickup or eat in house. I love this place and will be sad when we move to Gresham to not be near Chopstix.“

“Best pizza! Being travelers and currently on an epic, multi-week road trip, we've eaten lots of pizza in lots of places. This place is by far the one of the best pizzas my husband has had in a very long time, absolute best vegan pizza ever for myself. If we were locals, that would be our go-to place! Grateful we had the chance to try it out on our way through.“

“5/7/24 dinner visit with work colleagues, 4 in total. Not my first visit but first review. This place is always hopping, bar and restaurant typically full around dinner time. We sat at a high top in the bar area, Brianna was our server. Fantastic visit, Brianna was knowledgeable and friendly with several suggestions. I ordered a Caesar with grilled chicken and enjoyed an old fashioned. Salad was great and OF was perfect. Closed the night with a couple beat pours of Woodford Reserve - wonderful time!“

“This restaurant in Hillsboro offers an authentic Japanese dining experience, boasting sushi of comparable size and quality to that found in Japan or other parts of Asia, unlike the typical sushi portions in the USA. I savored the sashimi, sushi, tempura, and grilled hamachi cheek, perfectly complemented by ample servings of beer and sake. The freshness of the fish surprised me, particularly the standout otoro sushi, where the rich flavor of the fish melded beautifully with the rice and sake. A must-visit for anyone craving Japanese cuisine in this area, with attentive service and a delightful ambience to top it off!“

“Our group enjoyed the outdoor patio with shade for the shade lovers and sun for the sun lovers. The staff are super friendly and helpful. We ordered a couple of the burritos including the breakfast burrito, which is full of meat, for meat lovers. I enjoyed their nachos, replacing meat with shrimp. For those who enjoy spice, you must ask for their habanero sauce and their house made spicy tequila!“

“I like to eat here two or three times a month. It’s my go to place when I’m in the mood for “fast food“. However, unlike fast food, the food is fresh and homemade while you wait and always tastes great. The staff are always smiling and having a good time and they’re happy to see you when you come in.Highly recommend to try some great authentic Mexican street food from their vast menu.Parking: Situated on a corner, the restaurant has parking both in front on the west side and on the north side. Parking here has never been a problem for me.Kid-friendliness: Definitely family friendly place with plenty of menu items that kids will enjoy. Even during the busy lunch or dinner rush, there will be a table or two open as the restaurant has a good mix of carryout and dine-in customers.“

“Simply excellent. The food was wonderful from a diverse menu. Quantities were great (two of the people I was with took part of their meal home). And the service was nothing short of outstanding. Very pleasant and helpful waitstaff. Coffee was always fresh, bold, and kept full. And the restaurant has a very pleasing ambiance. While not inexpensive, the menu seems fairly priced. This is my new favorite restaurant in the Washington County/ Hillsboro area. I hadn't been to Orenco Station for a while and didn't know this restaurant existed. Now I'm thinking of ways to go back there soon. It's always fun to find a new "hot spot" (a friend suggested this). But the whole Provence organization should be commended for creating such a fabulous dining experience.“

“Great food, always fresh. The falafel is crispy on the outside and moisture on the inside. Their chicken skewers are cooked just right, not dry. The hummus are delicious. Lentil soup is a must have. Chicken Sambousek has enough stuffing. Share the mezza plate sampler, it’s a lot food. I always over ordered because everything is so delicious.“

“A nice cozy spot. Food is always consistent, as is the service. All McMenamins have a unique vibe and this location is one of my favorites. Whether cozying up by the fire in the winter or sitting outside in the summer, anytime is a great time to stop in for a burger and a drink. Love the vegan Mystic Burger and the house made mystic sauce. I used to love the cajun tots but for some reason all locations have just become so stingy with the spices I just order them regular now because there isn't much of a difference but I still enjoy them.“

“Really good food, very friendly staff, and really good managers, I definitely recommend Stanford’s in Tanasbourne , everyone needs to come in and try it if you haven’t yet, I recommend the fried calamari and the chimichurri steak tips, they are really really good, save space for dessert and try the chocolate mousse, and make sure to try out the drinks the way is made is all fresh made juices, so if you are in the area make sure to stop by at Stanford’s in Tanasbourne, you will not be disappointed.“

“We came on the recommendation of an acquaintance and were so happy that we did. My beef rice plate with house-made fish sauce was yummy and my partner's vegetarian (prob vegan) soup was also excellent. Friendly service and fast food prep didn't hurt, either. We're definitely making this a go-to restaurant.“

“The beer and cider selection is awesome. We really like the atmosphere. There is seating on the parking lot out front, and we can park our ebikes where we can see them. The only negative is that they don't open early enough on weekdays. We haven't tried the food yet. We're retired and ride our eBikes 20 miles or so around here, and we've tried out just about every brewpub in the Hillsboro, Aloha Bethany, cornelius, forest grove,West Beaverton area with a patio. This has become one of our favorites.“

“Everything, EVERYTHING, is delicious here. The menu is absolutely solid, and there's plenty to choose from. The spice can be intense, so be cautious. The Chiang Mai Spicy Sausage is a must try! This place is quite popular and can get busy quickly, so get there early on weekends. Probably some of the best Thai food I've ever had.“

Best chicken and tots plate I've ever had. The raspberry lemonade was super good sweet and refreshing. I can't wait to come back especially for date night. Yes , it is been years already... but I will go again. Casual place , your neighborhood sports bar , friendly.“

“Super food from a greta local family who have several great food venues around Hillsboro, Oregon. I love the Carnitas and Pollo Tacos and Burritos! So close to downtown Hillsboro too. A spot everyone should try - if you do you will become a fan! And try the breakfast burrito too!“

“I’ve patronized this established several times. The food is always fresh and tasty. Today I just had the lentil soup. It is one of the three or four plant based options. It’s not a cheap bowl of soup, but I was looking for a good bowl of soup. It didn’t not disappoint. It deserves the positive comments on here.“

“BREAKFAST BURRITO - Ordered the sausage & bacon one. $11.25 each and huge, next time we will have to share just one because neither of us could finish ours. On the board, it says “with hashbrowns“ which I do not like. As it turns out it had chunks of potato instead, which I do like. We liked everything about the breakfast burrito except for the sausage. Next time we will order it with just the bacon, which was not underdone in limp, but fried perfectly crisp as it should be. This is the second time we have ordered here and we remembered right away that the sausage had a nasty taste to it. We finally decided that the only way we can describe the taste is kind of soapy taste. we just picked up the sausage pieces and the rest was very tasty.“

“Really good Mongolian grill, one of the best I've visited in the area. I think they have a great selection of meats, and theirs tastes higher quality to me than some other local places, plus it tastes really good and fresh when grilled. They have a solid sauce selection to complement your meal, and their noodles are solid. Their starter soups taste pretty good though generic, I'm sure you've had hot and sour soup that tastes like theirs before. In addition, they give you ice cream at the end so you get a full course meal to fill you at a fair price. Service was nice, I even ended up forgetting my phone at the table and the lady tried to catch us before we left, but had it waiting when we came back about an hour later.“

“Their food is very good, you get a lot of it, and they are very nice people. The prices are reasonable. My only concern would be how dirty the floors in the restaurant are , they are normally light grey and all the traffic areas are just black. The restrooms have an extremely bad smell.“

“We came for a burger and fries to go on a Thursday around 6:15pm. There were a couple of orders in front of us but by the time we left there were around 5 more groups waiting for their orders. We had a fairly large order of 6 burgers and 4 orders of fries and it took around 20 minutes for our order. The two young ladies were working hard behind the counter and all of the food is made fresh so the wait is understandable. The burgers look small, they are smaller in diameter than a McDonald's cheeseburger but have a thicker patty. The men needed two burgers to get full, but the burgers are more filling than they look. The fries are plentiful, crispy and tasty and highly recommend having them with their fry sauce. The sauce has a lot of flavor with a little spice. We had extra fries even with my hungry boys so an order can definitely be shared. Their prices have really gone up over the years so it's not the deal that it used to be, but still a good option and will be back for their fries.“

“Food was great. I am unable to eat certain foods and asked for those items to not be plated. I was told that despite paying full price they would not do “ala carte”. That is not what ala carte means. Tried to phrase it in a different way, saying that I was trying to prevent food waste and save them money. To no avail…everything had to plated apparently. Makes no sense. Most likely will not be back.“
“My beer knowledge has ebbed and flowed during my time in Oregon. There were years when I went to festivals, curated loops of brewery tours for visiting friends and generally cared way too much about beer. Then there's the point I'm at now, where a new brewery has to legitimately bring something new to the table to get me to break routine or present value that makes it unique in the marketplace. If your pints are $8 to $9 in the taproom, but your four packs of 16-ounce cans go for roughly that at WinCo, I'm not impressed.Settling into a less fanatic approach to beer here has given me more appreciation for breweries like Vertigo and folks like Mike. During the peak of the Oregon beer boom--when banks were throwing stupid money at any business plan that involved beer and legacy brands that sold to disinterested owners just waited for their turn to die--Mike plugged along at Vertigo and kept improving his recipes and offerings. When Hillsboro said "Hey, want to pay way more overhead for a spot downtown that can't fit your tanks?" Mike passed and had food trucks come into his business park. When the Hillsboro Hops said "Hey, want to pay an exorbitant rights fee to have the ballpark ale at the park?" he once again passed and let BridgePort bankrupt itself as a minor league team's official partner. It took about four breweries (also from outside of Hillsboro) to replace it.Mike persists for the reason Orenco Tap House persists and Culmination Brewing persists... he knows full well what it's like to maintain a brewery on your own and keep the place afloat. The brewhouse and DIY tasting room? That used to be a lot more commonplace before brewers started taking out jumbo loans and pouring venture capital into fast-growth, multiple-footprint operations. The growlers and kick-the-keg specials? Yeah, that's how you build something called loyalty instead of playing a turnover game that'll force a rebrand every three years.A menu of beers like blondes, porter, pale ale (that still boosts the baseball team), traditional IPAs and the venerable Razz Wheat aren't "entry level" offerings, but staples for regulars who've been around the horn of hazies, sours, pastry stouts and other exploding-can trends before seeking their forever home. There's a reason why this taproom is a blend of area old-timers and Intel youngbloods... and why Vertigo's offerings have only become more accessible on taps throughout Washington County.A brewery doesn't need to conquer the world to succeed, nor does it need to chase trends to be beloved: It just needs to care about the product it makes, care enough about the people buying it to keep them comfortable and make the occasional concession to the times.Mike started canning because the pandemic called for cans... and buyers grew to like them. Names of beers changed to sound less like seasonals and more like year-round staples. But the core of the business never wavered, and Vertigo's clientele is grateful.Much like many legacy businesses here in the area (Helvetia and Oak Knoll wineries, the Pharmacy, Hale's, etc.), I get the sense that Vertigo's here for as long as Mike wants it to be. Considering how few of his contemporaries had that option (or stuck around to find out), Hillsboro is extraordinarily fortunate to house a brewery of Vertigo's quality and pedigree that remains so vital to its surrounding community.“

“Just moved back to Hillsboro after being away a long time and was hopeful about this place. The ambience, pizza and music were good and that is what the stars are for. I do like the concept of this place. Service however was lacking. At first I thought it was because the house was packed. My first clue should've been when the server said to us , "well we have a packed house tonight so I don't know if you wanna wait or you can just come back a different day" to which I replied, "can we sit outside?" Less than enthused he said yes. We ended up staying because the music was good. When people began to leave, we made an additional order for an item but it never made it to our table. We very well could've left without even paying as it was a constant search and find with our server.“

“We love the pizzas here. The paneer tikka pizza and paneer makhni pizza are our favorites. We went to dine in a few days back, but did not really enjoy the ambience. Also, we ordered chaat for the first time but that was pretty underwhelming. Will continue to order takeouts but will not be dining in. Also, will be sticking to pizza in the future which they seem to specialize in.“

“[ food ]: 8/10 * chicken tikka: The chicken was tender and very flavorful, with good presentation. Creamy and satisfied that sense of comfort food that I was looking for. * lamb biriyani: This was something I'd never tried before but was extremely impressed with in terms of flavor, texture, and presentation. Again, meat was very tender and had a really nice heat to it even at the middle spice level! * garlic naan: so yummy! Compared to other naan I've had in the Portland area, this takes the cake! I'd definitely recommend this with any main dish you order or even by itself! [ service ]: 10/10 * As soon as we walked in, we were kindly greeted by many staff members and they were more than attentive about keeping our water glasses filled and making sure that we were enjoying our food! Everyone was kind and welcoming! [ ambiance ]: 8/10 * I loved the bollywood videos they were playing on the tv, the tall vaulted ceilings and big windows, along with beautiful decor really brought the place to life next time I'll be sure to try the chicken makhani! Girlfriend got the cheddar soup and it is very good.Service at bar was swift, but again order was not accurate, but I am easier than most to please. Not a quiet night out place. Are throwing in the same room, totally cool, just again not a romantic place if that is what you seek. Also, not the easiest joint to find the first time, but certainly didn't stop a full house of folks enjoying a Friday evening out.I will give it a try again in hopes I get exactly what I order the first time.“
“First time visiting Oregon and this was our first stop. It didn't disappoint! Our host, Glenn (Glen?), greeted us warmly and guided us to the outdoor deck overlooking Mt. Hood. My friend and I ordered different flights, so we got a good taste of their stock. Glenn is knowledgeable of the vinyard, the process, and wine in general, and enjoyed sharing his accumulated knowledge of the area and wines as we peppered him with questions. We are not wine connoisseurs by any stretch of the imagination, but both know what we like. There was much to like, and we're headed back to the East Coast with a few bottles in our luggage. Thank you, Glenn, for making this jewell of a vinyard sparkle.“
