“This is one of our favorite places to eat on the coast because of the combination of good food and good view. You can get a good view from almost anywhere in the restaurant. This visit the food wasn’t quite as good as we remembered however. Also, we had two little kids and wanted a high chair and booster and they asked if a booth was okay which it was, but we didn’t understand it was a high booth so the baby also had to use a booster seat and is really too little for it so my husband had to kind of hold him in the whole time so a little more distracting from the meal than we would have liked. Otherwise it was great :)

Kid-friendliness: If you want a high chair and they mention a booth, be sure to specify if it’s a regular or high top booth.”

“I recently had the pleasure of dining at Taste of India, and I have to say, it was some of the best Indian food I've ever had. The coconut curry was absolutely divine, rich and creamy with just the right balance of spices. The garlic naan was perfectly soft and fragrant, an ideal complement to the curry. Every bite was a delight.

The service was excellent, too. We had two waiters assisting us. The younger one seemed like he was still learning the ropes, but the more experienced waiter was right there guiding him and checking in on us. He even made some fantastic recommendations, and we’re already looking forward to trying them next time.

The presentation of the dishes was impressive, served in unique and thoughtfully chosen dishes that added to the overall experience. The restaurant has an upscale vibe, but there were a few quirky touches that made it feel charming rather than stuffy. Honestly, the food is so good that any little imperfections are easily overlooked.

It’s no surprise that this place has earned so many rave reviews. The quality of the food alone is worth the visit, and I’ll definitely be coming back. Keep up the great work, Taste of India!

“Went in for a burger July 6th, staff is great and very polite and kind considering they had a huge phone to go order and most tables filled waiting to order. Our waitress apologized for the wait and repeatedly asked if we were in need of anything while waiting. Food and my husband's 'root beer float' were excellent. Thank you, Dan and staff!”

“We really enjoyed our breakfast at Nelscott Breakfast House this morning! The staff were friendly & attentive. The food came fast and was delicious, we both ordered the “Nelscott Breakfast”. However, when she said, “byeee, byeee “to me. That was it. Called back asked for manager; shes it. Nope. D”

We LOVE her shop (and buttercream frosting!) and visit it every time we are at the coast. Mentioning we were married in Disneyland, she went above and beyond in making our anniversary that much sweeter. 💕 Thank you SO much!”

“This is an old restaurant that's been converted into a Mexican/ taco truck style restaurant. The food was very good. The service was good, people were very friendly. Building itself was very hot the sun comes through their windows badly and the bathrooms was like an ice skating rink could definitely use some work in the building. Would recommend ordering to go everything else was awesome.”

“I am not exaggerating when I say, this is THE BEST sushi I have ever had. They don't allow customizations, and that's for a good reason, their sushi is perfect as is. If you aren't scared of seaweed salad or raw fish, get the Yatai roll, if you do have an aversion to that sort of stuff, they have a beautifully wide variety of amazing dishes to choose from, cost is absolutely fair at ≈$15 per roll, try and catch them when they are open and you will be hooked at the first delectable bite.”

How ever we went back today Wednesday afternoon for lunch expecting same experience.. my old fashion today was weak and watered down almost clear . Was not same consistency. That’s too bad .”

“As a regular sushi consumer this is very good sushi! I was reluctant to try sushi off a food truck but to my surprise the sushi we very fresh and authentic! Since they opened I eat there once a week.”

“The menu is limited,, but the food is always delicious. I love the fish and chips. I have had the tuna melt when it is on the special menu. It is great. I wish it were on the regular menu. I have had the Caesar salad and the nachos and quesadillas. I am never disappointed The beer selection is very good. Probably, needless to say, we go there often.

Vegetarian options: I can't think of anything vegetarian on the menu, maybe the quesadillas and salad and fries, but not enough to recommend it to vegetarians.”

I would give a recommendation for the Thai tea.. You should invest in either almond milk or coconut milk for those who cannot have dairy (like myself!) I would absolutely love to try your Thai tea's, if you ever make them with non dairy milk. I give this place 5 stars. I will definitely be returning.”

This is a perfect ocean-town fish and chips "hut" so don't go in thinking a sit down restaurant.

We have been coming here since they opened and we saw the fisherman loading fresh fish into the back door. It has kept its quality high, even during the time of price gouging by corporations.

Pros: crust is AMAZING, we are done with the beer batter/tempura type breading because it is usually thick and greasy and it seems like they are trying to hide small pieces of fish in the batter. Quality of the fish is high! Never greasy. Coleslaw is good old fashioned creamy slaw, we enjoy it. Chowder has had a few incarnations, today's was a thinner, creamy type. I like that style but my husband enjoys a bit thicker. It's tasty but sadly I didn't even get one clam. ?

Cons: Fries are frozen not fresh cut, but we enjoy this type if they *have* to be frozen. Starter sauce is a bit tangy, feels like it might be purchased not homemade(?)”
