Probably one of the best fried chicken meals you'll ever have in a dive bar in the U.S. It will take a really, really long time to get your fried bar food (they had one bartender working the bar and fryer when we went on a Saturday afternoon).The batter for the Jo-Jos and fried chicken are incredibly good. best fried chicken and jojos in town. can't beat the price either ($12 for a thigh, two legs, and 4 jojos which is basically a whole potato). takes a while to get the food when it's busy, but totally worth it. $5 boiler makers with Rainer and old crow. every bartender I've interacted with has been extremely friendly and easy to talk to. pool table is free, but the cloth is very dirty and badly needs replacing. bring your own cue, chalk, and maybe even a brush if you care enough.

Another stop along my tour, multiple locals have specifically mentioned this bar. It was an early Friday afternoon when we stopped in, and it already had a decent lively crowd. Vibes were friendly all around and the kitchen was humming. Only had a beer, jello shot ($5 card limit!) and a convo before we moved to the next. I might come back for that chicken. Men's restroom doesn't latch so you may see/show some things.
