“My favorite thing to get is 4 street tacos with rice and beans and every time I get it, it tastes soooo good!! They catered at my fiancés company summer bbq party last year and all the food was delicious and all the employees are so nice and did an amazing job!!“
“This place is the best taco truck in Salem!!They are so nice and friendly. Always making sure we get everything we need for our food. I go there like three times a week for their tacos. The carne asada literally melts in your mouth. Their pickled carrots are amazing!!! They give us so much of them, which I appreciate because I eat them all. Spicy but not over powering!! I definitely recommend them to everyone I know!“
“Day trip to Salem and looked for Island food. Soooooo happy this was where we decided to go. Ginger made us great drinks and the food was outstanding. Fresh, simple and authentic island dishes! We will be back! Thank you again Ginger for the killer service!“
“These are the BEST tacos and sopes in Salem. We are here regularly. It's been hard to find a Mexican place we like since moving here from California but this is it!! I love the quesabirria tacos and the sopes. My husband love the sopes and all the tacos. My picky kids even like the tacos. Oh yeah, and the rice!!!! The rice is amazing. It's hard to find rice like my grandma makes but here it is. They also make some amazing salsa. The staff is always so kind too!“
“Literally some of the best Mexican food I’ve ever had. Amazing sauces and quality ingredients. Huge portions. Me and the lady have to go here any time we come through Salem. They have a crunch wrap called the mummia that’s as big as your head.“
“Delicious, authentic, handmade Mexican food. The tortillas and atole were as delicious as I have ever had on either side of the border. It took a while to make, but well worth it. This is a taco stand outside of a cantina. It has some outdoor seating.“
“I have eaten several times at the Salem Chronic Tacos and also used them to cater a gathering of 40+ in my home. I am always impressed with how fresh every item is. The homemade chips and fresh guacamole are in my top all-time favorites and the surf and turf burrito is my new go-to comfort food!Parking: Generally have found on-street parking nearby, but those times I haven’t, the parkade is conveniently close.“
“I get it now. We had two garlic shrimp tacos, two asada, two cowboy, a chicken quesadilla, Miss Piggy burrito, and two strawberry chai horchatas. Wow!! The meat was super fresh, loved the plump, tasty shrimp, and the horchata was like Christmas come early. The strawberries were super fresh and the horchata was too. Loved the sweet staff and am so glad we can come here for a simple, delicious lunch❤️“
“This was quality food. I've been here four years and have been looking for authentic mexican grub. Coming from SoCal, I was a bit spoiled when it came to Mexican food, but I've now found my "go-to" for Mexican. Nothing else I've had in Salem compares.“
“I was told about this place by another customer at The Yard who said this was the Best Taco Truck in Salem! The Fuk if he wasn't right as s**** The owner had run out of what I want! Bet it's fuking amazing! I will be back. What he did give me was insane! It was so good one bite in I knew where I was! Try or Sit at home! Choice is yours!“
“Top-notch food. Service is also top-notch when the staff is around. One visit, I had to go to "smokers' corner" on the porch to order another drink, Another visit, I had to go and ask for a bill because we had been done for a while. On our last visit, we were going to order a 2nd Bloody Mary, but I didn't want to go out to the smoke cloud and get a staff member. By the time we were done eating, she came in when a group of four came in, and we were able to get and pay our bill. The group of four were given menus and waters, and they waited to order. They were looking around for someone to take an order, and I pointed to the porch. One of them went out and got someone, and when she came to the table, they told the staff member that something had come up and they needed to leave. It is definitely a repeating pattern. That said, the food really is great with generous portions and the staff is friendly and nice. Our visits were two Sundays and a Monday.“
“My only complaint is that I tried calling a few times to order over the phone because the website said ordering online was unavailable, but was unable to get through to anyone. Ordering in store was quick and painless. They have a nice large selection on their menu, which is great imo. Food came quickly, we got ours to go. My mom said she really enjoyed the food. A little on the pricy side but overall had a good experience and will be back again.Parking: Free street parking. I found a spot fairly quickly. I’m sure it may be a bit of a pain on busy days/busy hours. But it’s mainly all free street parking so shouldn’t have any complaints for someone who is willing/can make the walk.“
“Combinacion (combination plate) is an amazing value and very tasty. The rice is best I've had in oregon. Fast and friendly staff - it's a food truck so I typically pick it up and head to a park (or a movie) to enjoy the meal. Most people devour in their cars. Can't believe this place only has 3.4 stars since I think it's one of the best taco trucks in Salem.“
“Amidst the overly saturated taco truck scene in Salem lies El Ranchito, one of the city's more popular options and has the added bonus of being a late night destination. Overall, I think this truck has a lot to offer, and tacos are just the best way to start. (#1) I'm pretty impressed with their truck setup. The neon light signs, along with the cater style format that their food is setup in makes it an easy grab-n-go situation. There are outside tables and a dedicated condiment station that has a number of salsas, limes, radishes, and other quality taco add-ons. Last time I checked, tacos were just about $2-3, but in the inflation world we live in I wouldn't be surprised if the prices have somehow changed since then. In addition to tacos, they have burritos (super sized too), tortas, sopes, quesadillas, and tostadas. Out of all the meats they have (asada, pastor, carnitas, tripas, pollo, and cabeza (#2), I think their carnitas / lengua have the most promise. That being said, I do enjoy almost all of their meats. Tripa might not win me over, but most everything else I give a pretty solid thumbs up. The asada has this juiciness to the meat, the carnitas has this hint of saltiness, and the lengua when combined with the right salsa (verde) is magic. If anyone is going with the torta route, the jamón milanesa is a nice way to go. It's all cash only here and the service is always good. During the colder months they bust out the heaters, which is always appreciated. There is likely to be a line here during any evening, but a little patience and an appetite go a long way. ___________ (#1) Gateway food. (#2) Spelled "cabesa" on their menu.“
“We asked for recommendations to get some great nachos, and that led us to Dalias. They weren't kidding. Absolutely fantastic nachos. We only picked up a half order, but it was more than enough for two people. Dalias Taqueria gets our recommendation, and we'll be back very soon!“
