“Had a few beers and food. The beers were very good. I had a stout and an IPA. I split a Vegi grilled sandwich and a Ruben. The Vegi sandwich was great. The Ruben could have been great if there was more meat on it. It was the most expensive sandwich and only had a couple slices of very thin sliced corned beef. It needed more! The sandwich had all the makings to be great except for more meat.“

“Amazing food, good drinks. I wouldn't be surprised if they have the best tater tots in the state. Additionally, I don't like mushrooms but their deep fried mushrooms are so good. All of the food has a fresh, home made type of quality which is unexpected for such a small and unassuming bar.“

There was an ownership change, about a year ago, the new owners have carried on the tradition of the eclectic decor which is fun, and the preexisting staff is fabulous. Staff remains consistent after new ownership (good sign) and the new staffers are a great add! It is clear that business has picked up the because we are seeing wait lines again, which we have not seen for about 4-years and new staff members have been added frequently this entire year. Sign of happy customers and employees. It is clear that additional staff members are needed, good employees are hard to find in today’s environment of finding GOOD employees- so hard to find in todays world. One needs to remember this when criticizing not having wait staff checkin on them… We are consistent weekly customers for 17-years, have seen many improvements this past year. Wait staff were friendly and attentive.The highlight of my meal was the Cream of Spinach soup and toasted fresh bread, it was very tasty with a great depth of flavour. Soup was on the table fast and nearly beat my old fashion which was well crafted and balanced. Pacing of the mealndelivery from the kitchen needs work, as my salad was also on the table fast before I was half way through the soup. Vinagrette on the beet salad was very flavoursome. $9 up charge for half a grill marked but likely microwaved chicken breast was a little disappointing. Would I come back? - Probably. Would I rush back? - No4.5 stars is more than a fair assessment“
