“Their food and drinks are amazing!! They have so many cool fun events at their store all the time. The owner is constantly posting on Facebook showing what she gets in and goes out looking for things to sell all the time. They have pirex for amazing prices!!“

“It's a great cafe near National Bakery and On & On. I had a sausage, egg and cheese on a National Bakery roll and a brewed black coffee. Everything was very good. The interior is very cozy with fantastic wall art throughout. I wish the menu was more creative with more items. The glass case is in need of more sweet and savory contents.“

“This has quickly become my new favorite spot for coffee! As soon as you step through the big wooden door, it feels like you are transported into the pages of a book! The staff is incredibly friendly and the coffee is phenomenal. Blackwatch is a great addition to our community, especially Nay Aug. Thank you!Parking: There are about four spots near the greenhouse. However, there is additional parking throughout Nay Aug Park. Just pay attention to signs as some areas are designated for hospital staff and the Everhart Museum.Kid-friendliness: Plenty of outdoor seating and space for children to hangout.Wheelchair accessibility: The lower parking area near the greenhouse has a paved walk way to the cafe. There is a slight incline.“

“We got married on 7/15/23 and hired The Mustard Seed Cafe as our caterer. We were lucky enough to work alongside Sally and Laurie. They were both so kind and made sure everything was perfect during our wedding day. There were also wonderful to work with and communicate with throughout the planning process. Everything was absolutely delicious and our guests were going on and on about how incredible the food was. For appetizers, we had the arancini balls, teriyaki meatballs, zucchini fritters, and chicken caesar crostinis. We also had a cheese and charcuterie station. We had a plated garden salad and one of our groomsmen was going crazy for the house made dressing. For dinner, we offered a buffet and had dinner rolls, chicken franchise, beef roulades, eggplant rollatini, seasonal vegetables, and roasted rosemary baby potatoes. I'm still drooling over the food, which as the bride and groom we made it a point to sit down and eat because of how delicious it was! The servers and kitchen staff also served, cleared, and rinsed all of the dishes and flatware as well, which was so thoughtful and helpful. Thank you again for being such an important part of our wedding weekend! The Mustard Seed Cafe will always have a special place in our heart!“

“I love this place, super friendly staff including Caroline the owner. Really comfortable and cute atmosphere, extremely clean including the bathrooms, food is always excellent. I just wish they were open later in the day, it's hard to come here with the hours they have and wish there was more parking. Scranton needs more places like this.This is a must visit if your in Scranton!“

“Super cute stop in the heart of downtown of Scranton, Pennsylvania. I wanted to find a great cup and there was a really good vibe there. I got a maple latte which was on the sweet side, but totally delicious. If you have a moment and want a nice cup of coffee or relax environment it’s a nice stop.“

“Great place for vegan comfort food. Any time I'm missing the taste and texture of a super cheesy quesedilla, this is where I go -- its close enough to the real thing to quench that craving. Hubby loves the Wild Wild West burger and we both LOVE the smashed potatoes.The smoothies/shakes are freaking delicious too.“

“Back Burner Cafe provided catering after a family member passed away. I live away from the area and reached out to this business to deliver. The owner responded promptly and provided suggestions. The food was prepared and delivered the following day. Relatives reported that the food was delicious. It arrived hot and packaged well. I hope to stop in at the restaurant sometime when I am in the area. Highly recommended. A big plus is that it is woman owned and operated.“

“I've only been here once to try the cupcakes. I went in to order two to go. A vanilla and chocolate, they were absolutely delicious! I just wish that they were normal sized cupcakes rather than mini size. I definitely would like to try this place again and eat in. The lunch menu seems delicious as well! Can't wait to try more. “First time here for breakfast and had a wonderful experience. Friendly service, cinnamon bun pancakes were amazing, as well as breakfast sandwiches and home fries. Found out they are moving soon , but we look forward to following them to their new place. Prices were very reasonable too.“

“We visited on a Saturday, just a few minutes before 11am (they open at 9am) and they were already sold out of their breakfast special (cinnamon bun pancakes), so that was a bummer-make sure you get there early! they close at 2 so their hours are hard to accommodate if you work a 9-5. The food was delicious, friendly staff, clean environment, order at the counter.“
