“A great place. Been open many years. Recently on TV for their Anniversary. Sometimes crowded but they are quick and move fast. You can get breakfast sandwiches all day which is a plus. Coffee very good, another plus. Only takes cash, no big deal to me. Grew up in South Philly and local neighborhood places the same. Got scrapple, egg & cheese, bacon, egg & cheese, peppers , egg & cheese. All outstanding. Owner Bruce and his wife working up front, working, greeting and monitoring everything.“

“I read all the positive reviews and had to check it out for myself. I have always found it difficult to find something as simple as a good breakfast place. But this time i found it! The second I walked in, I was impressed. The hostess greeted me immediately and with a smile. I asked if I should order now and she smiled and explained that she'd take my order and she'll bring it to me. It was very pleasant. The store itself is clean and bright. I ordered two eggs medium, sausage patties, home fries with peppers and onions, rye toast with a little butter and a medium coffee. Everything was made exactly as I ordered it. The portions were generous and the coffee was great. Thirteen bucks for all that. Perfect. I'll be back.“

“Summary: To sum this all up, this is the best place that you can find around the area where it is and is not crowded but calm and unpopulated. The food is so tasty and will make your tastebuds experience something you will never forget in the next 6 months. The bathrooms are cleaner as can be and have decorations that will soothe your experience at the Havertown Grille. Getting your food and drinks within 10 minutes while the whole place is crowded? No shot you haven't tried out this place then. Havertown Grille is a restaurant in Delco that is open all weekend and week for over 6 hours. As soon as you walk in, you smell the delicious food and see that the floor is freshly cleaned. As soon as you sit, you will look at the menu and it is full of food that will make you want to eat the whole menu in one bite. It will be all kinds of food that are fresh, fruity, and full of toppings to choose from. The Nutella stuffed French toast with strawberries and bananas on the top will make you want to order very quickly, especially with the cheap price of only $9.50. There are many food items to choose from like pancakes, omelets, eggs, french toast, Belgian waffles, chipped beef, and so much more. The employees at Havertown Grille are very friendly and kind. The bathrooms are so clean and smell as fresh as a cologne bottle. And of course, Havertown Grille provides a take-out section for people who don't have time to sit in the clean, comfy seats. Although they don't have high-top seats, there is a plentiful amount of regular seats that are spread out and easy to get up to go somewhere if you have to. The drinks come in a big glass that is nice and cold at the perfect temperature. While you are waiting to get your food, or eating, you can watch the TV that always has sports on from any angle you are sitting and looking straight at so you don't have to turn your neck. Don't worry though. When you are done eating your pancakes or anything that is very sticky, the bathroom is so close that you stand up and are right at the door. When you are done eating, the nice waitresses will be so fast to bring you the check and make you want to come back the next day.“

“If you need a hot made to order meal that is filling, stop by this lil spot. No dine in option and cash only but you get the bang for the buck. You can call in an order as well. Had to get a Philly n fries which was pretty good. They serve breakfast as well. The servings are decent size and they make sure you get all your condiments.“

“I am a lifelong fan of the Fairlane. Yes it is small (quaint and old fashioned) and you might have to wait for a table. And yes parking is tough. However, the reason for these minor inconviences is that they have GREAT FOOD, GREAT SERVICE and the word has spread so they are BUSY. Try to come at a slightly off time for breakfast and you will not regret it.“

I love their breakfast and I love the fact that you can get Chinese food here as well. And the food is great and you won’t leave here hungry.I challenge you to find bigger pancakes anywhere in the Philadelphia area. If you’re a coffee lover, it’s always hot and fresh. It’s family run, and the love shows here.“

“I do a lot of travel & visit many urban restaurants. This was the first in my travels where I didn't see NOT ONE Black employee (and this in the heart of Philly w/many Black customers)While the food & atmosphere were good, I can't in good conscious patronize an establishment that chooses to ignore the need for diversity especially in an area w/such a high concentration of Black residents.“

“I just moved to the area and was looking for some breakfast. This was the only spot open close to me on a Sunday. Wow. But I admit, the food was spot on. I can tell this place most likely boomed before the pandemic but the orders and pickups were still coming in. The sweetheart at the counter when I came in had a very thick accent so I couldn't understand him at first. Other than that my experience and food was great. I'll definitely be back. My daughter also loved the silver dollar pancakes with powdered sugar.“

“We stayed in Brewerytown but found this hidden gem of a family run traditional diner. This is a non tourist spot where locals grab and go in a non stop in and out. Wide menu selection we ate 3 different mornings here because it was cheap, filling, and friendly, one of the few places open early morning is a plus. Family owned and mixed race staff was SO amazing to see! We always left full and happy. First time trying scrapple was just ok, like a fried patty of a dull flavored sausage. Had the 3 meat and egg combo best value. Grits were buttery and great with splashes of hot sauce. Pancakes just like something your mom would make for breakfast. BLT again nothing mind blowingly amazing, but comforting and familiar that takes you back to traditionally good homemade quality with regular ingredients. This would be same price as a Denny's but higher quality in service and quality taste. Come visit this diner is just a great Philly experience.“

“Best place around, all of those negative reviews are just people who like to complain, u should tell owners not put on here , hopefully those people don’t ever come back , I eat here atleast 7 times a week , not one complaint ever in 25 years , even with old owners“
“Where to start!!! I happened to be at Upper Darby HS this morning doing a favor and decided to see what Yelp recommended near me. There were the usual (Tank and Libby's....Sabrina's....Kettle....etc), but I'm a common guy by nature and wanted to get back to my corner, neighborhood diner roots. All these fancy places starting me to talking with a Main Line accent when I grew up in New Castle.... lol.... This place showed up, and although there weren't many reviews, they were all excellent. Plus, looking at the pics, this was the vibe I was looking for. Walked in and was greeted by Patty and Marla. Within 5 minutes, they made me feel like a regular, when I had never even been there before. I ordered a cup of coffee while I checked out the menu. I NEVER would've expected such a great cup of coffee from a corner spot. It was worthy of La Colombe. For breakfast I decided to have the 2XL egg mixed grill. This included...... get this..... two scrambled eggs (i added cheese), home fries (I added peppers and onions), two slices of thick slab bacon, two pieces of sausage, two slices of ham, and one piece of scrapple and toast on the side....... All this...... for only $11.95. While I was eating this hearty, delicious meal, in walks the owner, Jason. Young man is doing the damn thing. Owns this diner and the mechanics shop across the street. Very personable. So many of our young black men are out there doing positive things like this and you don't hear about it. I'll tell you this. I live 40 minutes from here but I will support and promise to have my a** in one of those chairs at least once a month.“

As we are super particular about food, Basil helped us with suggestions on the menu, was absolutely hilarious, so helpful and made our entire day! She and I have both been in the customer service field for a very long time, and he again was just super great. Lemon ! Ricotta are phenomenal tooKid-friendliness: I would take my 12 yr old here no prob, the menu is very kid friendly even outside the kids menu“

“One of the very few places around where you can get food at a reasonable price. Unlike many they haven't raised their prices to an over excessive amount. Which is why they are getting the business. Other businesses may want to copy what they are doing instead of being greedy and over charging customers for food that should remain at a reasonable price for business.“

“Such a super cute, local family owned business! With breakfast being my first favorite type of food, I decided to give them a try based off of a recommendation from a friend. I'm very glad I did.I called in a pickup order on a snowy Saturday morning. Yes, I know... breakfast is better eaten as soon as it's prepared. A&A is small; however, they do offer a dine in option.I told Michelle, pretty lady upfront with pink (my fave color) hair, I've lived here all my life and have driven by them a thousand times but it's a New Year and I finally made it! I usually check Yelp first for recommendations and they weren't there which is how I overlooked them. They do have very good Google reviews though. What I ordered:The Pork Grand Slam (they offer a turkey and beef option as well) it comes with sausage, 2 strips of bacon, eggs, your choice of grits or home fries and pancakes.I also requested an order of French Toast but they made waffles instead. It wasn't a big deal and the waffles were very good.Michelle advised they are adding smoothies and grab and go options to their menu for the morning commuters or anyone that wants a quick breakfast fix.The service was super friendly, the aesthetic is a whole Philly vibe, everything I ordered was flavorful and the cherry on top is... Their prices!!Please stop in and treat yourself!Cheers! ?“

“I love this place! It has a real neighborhood joint feel to it. They treat everyone with friendly service. You can tell who the regulars are because they are spoken to like family. The food is pretty good too, hefty portions and for the most part, not overly salty like you would find in places like this. All the workers seem to like each other too.“

“This place is classic south philly. The Sausage egg and cheese was cheap and delicious. The bun was both sturdy and yet soft. The eggs were fresh fried. And the sausage was salty and fatty and delicious as it should be.The coffee was only mediocre. But this ain't a place for hipster coffee snobs like me.“

“This is a really nice breakfast/brunch spot. It's often packed so there may be a wait time and you should plan for once just in case but it's never too noisy for how busy it is. The staff is always lovely. The food matches the price point which isn't always the case on the Main Line. The food is consistently the same and I have found no complaints. I get what I expect every time so I'm always happy here. A small stack of pancakes is more than enough for one person. Trust me! I love getting blueberry banana pancakes with turkey sausage here. Hits the spot every time!Parking: Good luck. Be patient. Parking in the area can be a real pain. Best to go behind the building and try to find some back street parking or park in the lot down a block next to Bella Italia if you can find a spot. There's a garage nearby but I personally don't use it. I just park a couple blocks down the street.Kid-friendliness: A very kid friendly menu!!Wheelchair accessibility: It's a ramp to get into the restaurant so it should be wheelchair accessible at the front door. No stairs. Can drop off at the front door as well.“
