“I brought my dog here 2x so far and we absolutely love it here! The food is AMAZING! The staff are super friendly, attentive and go out of their way to get to know you and your pup to make sure everyone is having a great experience. We drive 1hr each way each time just to come here! My 5month old puppy loves coming here and getting the socialization he needs from humans and dogs alike!“

“Wow Wow Wow. I ordered the roadside tots and AMAZING. Of course we had to try the PB&J burger and it was good. I was surprised but it worked. My bacon cheddar burger was delicious. The smoky spice was just perfect. A must stop every time we're in town !“

“Was there last night for early dinner and stayed to see the Eagles first TD. Food was fresh and extremely tasty. The vibe here is great. The service was excellent. Our server, Max, was very personable and gives very good recommendations. Max is not the only server like this. It seems to be the culture there. They have a lot of loyal customers. When we left the was a couple looking for a place to eat and watch the game. I quickly recommended Glory. If in Old City and near Chestnut and 2nd give them a try. You won’t be disappointed.“

“Absolutely thrilled with my recent visit to South Philadelphia Tap Room! The highlight of my meal was, without a doubt, their Tomato Soup and Grilled Cheese Sandwich. The soup was a perfect blend of tangy and creamy, with just the right amount of seasoning to elevate the fresh tomato flavor. “My boyfriend and I stopped here for lunch on our way to La Push. The crab dip was hands down the best I’ve eaten. I was a tad disappointed they were out of the fresh albacore tuna melt but the blackened shrimp tacos I ordered instead were delicious. My boyfriend enjoyed the fish and chips. Miranda, our server, was friendly, prompt, and very helpful with both the drink menu and food options. We’ll definitely be returning the next time we’re in Port Angeles.“

“5/5 for the happy hour. walk in seating only at the bar, might not have a table for your group if you aren't early enough (like 5 ish). 5 dollar kirin, a huge bowl of fries, decent buns, suboptimal pajeon and dumplings (too oily and no flavor in the pancake). overall everything is sweet and spicy sauces. really a prime place to grab a cold beer and split some snacks, unsure if id go for the actual food at full cost. $35 pp after tax and tip for a beer and honestly a lot of snacks (fried chicken, fries, buns, pancake, dumplings) split with 1 other person“

“Came in to watch the game and was surprised by the food and service. Lo my bartender was very patient and courteous throughout. I had the dry rub ranch wings OMG! Crunchy and seasoned on the outside and juicy on the inside. Great dipping sauce as well which added to the layers of flavor. My burger was the Swiss with bacon and a variety of mouth watery inclusions. Smash burger seasoned just right. I tried the love hazy IPA and it paired wonderfully. “Beautiful atmosphere! Great drinks and amazing food. Moonshine Philly is one of THE BEST places to dine.It is a 3 out of 5 from me for accessibility. They have a ramp to help you in the building, but the building is rather small. It's a small business so just be warned about coming here if you are used to wide open spaces for you and your wheelchair but my experience WAS STELLAR. The servers and staff are always friendly and always checking up on you. They really do go above and beyond.So yes technically its wheelchair accessible, I would recommend you bring your smaller mobility aids if you can/have them; but they truly try to make your stay no matter who you are a wonderful one.Vegetarian options: They have kindly labeled any vegan options!Dietary restrictions: They always ask how you'd like things cooked and feel free to ask to remove or add anything (add things costs extra sometimes)“

“As a cheesesteak enthusiast, I was anxious to try the "Jawn" advertised as a pound of prime ribeye on a freshly kneaded roll with caramelized onions and Cooper Sharp. The roll was fresh and warm, and yeasty, but more like pizza crust than the high end Italian rolls one finds at the best cheesesteak joints. Onions were perfect. Cheese was kind of skimpy. The beef was high quality and free of gristle..but a POUND? Maybe 8oz. MAX before cooking. I've eaten several pound steaks, and this ain't one. Fries were very high quality frozen, served piping hot in a cute mini fry-basket. Wife's wings were crispy and didn't get soggy in the plentiful hot sauce. Drinks are very reasonable and staff attentive and friendly. I guess the "Jawn" is a kind of novelty, and the price may reflect the beef grade as opposed to weight. Adorable atmosphere. I'll return, but try the Italian dishes where I suspect they excel.“

“On my first ever visit to Philidelphia, I chose to try this place (the nachos looked good on the online menu). When I walked in, the place had an intriguing atmosphere. It was self seating - I didn't see the menus on the table, and the server noticed, so, he grabbed me one and brought over a water, before I even requested anything! I ordered the Nachos with the spicy (not hot, just flavored with spices) chicken - it was So good and the bowl was suitable for 2 or more to enjoy. The plating was intriguing! It was Delicious! While I was eating, the server made me feel welcome, joking that I wasn't the Only one who didn't notice the menus (another party that came in missed them, too!). I returned afew days later with my husband, had to show him some of the city and have him try the nachos - we both Inhaled them! Despite a Large party being there, the server came right over with waters, got our order and had it brought out quickly. We were impressed with the service, despite the large party. Roll was great, the cheese on the burger was melted perfectly, and overall the burger had a really unique flavor! The black and blue burger was super good too! “Varga Bar is good, but it used to be great, and I miss that. They still have a great beer selection, often a cask ale on tap, and good food. But gone are our beloved jumbo lump crab cheese fries that, paired with their delicious house "ketchup", justified a trip to Varga Bar on their own (and that's coming from someone who doesn't even like crab). They've been replaced with a tater tot poutine, which is fine, but not amazing the way the crab fries were. Their happy hour discount used to apply to every beer on their extensive draft list, and now there's only a handful of beers that qualify. As a result, Varga Bar went from being great to merely good, from a place where we'd always go on every trip into the city to a place where we might stop by on occasion.“

“I visited on a thursday with my buddy who goes often. Being a workday night it seemed pretty active yet still a relaxed environment. Bartenders were very friendly and attentive, additionally the wings were great. Will definitely return.Parking: It is south philly so obviously parking is a bit challenging, but I was able to find plenty of spots about a block and half or so away.“

Straying from our regular menu favorites ( tough to pass on the always great burger or turkey'n' brie sandwich),we both had the same "special"...a smoked kielbasa/ kraut sandwich. Not an item I'd usually rave over, it was just perfect...the best I've ever had. Great kielbasa, nicely toasted roll, homemade-tasting kraut...and even a high-quality tasty brown mustard. “Been going here for about two years. Delightful neighborhood bar with great prices, friendly staff, good food with a rotating menu (always try the grilled cheese special), and a great tavern vibe. Pool upstairs (if you’re lucky enough to get there first).
