“My hubby and I were out and about doung errands and came across this newer restaurant. I'm so happy more of these healthier option restaurants are coming around our area.Once in the front glass doors, you'll find several tall glass doors, freezers filled with black bottom, clear lids. You'll see breakfast and lunch/dinner options to choose from. They even offer a few family sized options. Every meal is labeled with all its contents and nutrition.I grabbed 4 meals for my hubby and 4 for myself. I wish I had kept track to give you the meals we had. All of them were delicious and filling. I am a super picky eater and found they all passed my taste buds. They also offer a wide selection of made to eat meals. I'm sure you could find something for everyone here.“
“Had reservations for 6 of us. 2 of them had never been here. Wasn't a very good first impression. Once we were seated our drink order was taken rather quickly. We probably sat 30 mins before the waitress came to take our order after asking us if we needed more time. She then excused herself to go to the restroom after telling us she had been there since 10am and didn't have time to go. She could've just gone since we already waited for 30 mins without sharing that. When she returned she went across the dining room instead of coming to take our order. 3 of us got the fish and chips and were very pleased with the size of the fish. But charging .75 for tarter sauce? That's like a condiment and most people use that on fish. 1 of the ladies ordered a bacon cheeseburger. No bacon on the burger. Entrees with 2 sides don't include fries. Instead there's an upcharge of $1.00 or more. Never been to a restaurant where they offer baked or mashed potatoes but you pay extra for fries. Very disappointed with our visit.“
“I'm a Texas girl, living in Central Pennsylvania. My Texas Aunt and I try any new Barbeque places in around Central Pennsylvania. Up in Smoke has the very best Collard Greens. Legitimately the best, perfectly seasoned. I has the sliced brisket with nice burnt ends.“
“Just attended an event catered by Mountain Laurel Catering. I am not a huge fan of catering because the food is usually processed and warmed up. Mountain Laurel was different. I enjoyed the breakfast quiches and fresh fruit for breakfast. Lunch was also very tasty with a fresh salad, fresh bread and chicken breast that wasn't dry as a bone. The best part, the desserts which everyone raved about. Also, the flavored teas were great too. At my next event I will definitely give them a call.“
“For the 2nd year in a row, MTF has made our entire team very thankful! They provided our Thanksgiving meal, accommodating almost 400 people across 4 shifts, in 2 different buildings and including hot meals to our 3 shifts. I didn't think I would find a caterer able to check all our boxes, but they made it happen. Thank you Jason and your entire team! Looking forward to making it 3 years in a row.“
“My husband considers himself an onion soup expert since his version is frequently requested by family members. He has tasted onion soup in many restaurants in many states but this is the FIRST time I have ever caught him sipping the last of the broth with his straw! We both devoured our thick reuben sandwiches. If in the area again we would return for the same meal. There was nothing outstanding about the service.“
“I really liked coming here. Great authentic place. The service could have been better but they were definitely trying their best with only 3 employees. You can watch them make your food, we were at the West Shore Farmers Market where we watched one person prep all the ingredients, one person cook, and one person taking all the orders. We got the Empanadas and Taquitos. Everything we got was only $14 for the both of us and we couldn't finish all of it. Both could have used more flavor, but that hot sauce is soooo good they top everything with the red sauce (it's very spicy) but it made everything better. Overall, good food, and made me feel good eating local!Ps- loved their sign giving you the directions to the nearest taco bell ?“
“Best BBQ in Central PA. The owner and chef is very personable and always makes us feel welcomed. He remembers his customers and interacts with them. The food is always guaranteed to be good. The specials add a nice variety for when you want something different. The “IDK what I want” have never disappointed me! Especially when you’re in a mood or feeling a little indecisive, he always deliver! The portions are good and the prices are reasonable! You can tell and taste that the food is made with love and care. There’s little games to entertain the little (and not so little) ones. Overall really good and highly recommend!“
