Restaurants in Carlisle

“Went with family for a Birthday. We were a party of 6 about 5:10 or so. They said we could be seated right away and we were. All appetizers were excellent--fish tacos, mozzarella planks and chicken queso Dias and salads. All excellent. Various dinners of a special Filet mignon wrapped in bacon, risotto, blackened shrimp skewer and asparagus. The steak had a glaze of steak sauce of some sort blended with red wine. Another two persons chose the crab cake and New York strip with two sides, another lasagna dinner and last person ordered the honey infused broasted chicken half with mashed and vegetable of the day which was Veggie medley. We were al delighted with our dinner fare and apps and totally full but opted for deserts to go of Peanut Butter pie, Coconut cake and Creme Broulee. Everyone was verbal in saying they were so glad we went here for Birthday dinner. Thanks for the great time, quick table and excellent service. Hats off to Jordan our server.”

“Had a great time at 1794 Whiskey Bar in Carlisle! A great spot to enjoy a good drink and relax in a nice bar atmosphere. They have a good selection of whiskey, and I also tried the chicken pie, which was a nice addition to the experience. It’s always great to find a place where you can enjoy both drinks and good food. Overall, a solid spot to check out if you’re in Carlisle and looking for a relaxed evening with whiskey and food!”

“Food was very delicious and hospitality wonderfully management team its great prize was good also i love to go Royal kitchen bar !!!!”

“Had a very delicious meal our waitress was great and the atmosphere was nice..I will certainly be recommending this place.”

“Today my daughter and I enjoyed the most delicious lunch at One 13 Social in downtown Carlisle. Small plates are elegant and perfect for lunch. Mine was Spoonbread Shrimp, extraordinarily creative flavors : salty olive tapanade, savory grilled shrimp, and sweet cornbread with honey butter. New to their terrific menu, hope it stays!! I tip my hat to the chef.”

“Beautiful course. Great conditions”

“My mother and I took part in the cupcake and wine pairing for Mothers Day & had an absolutely amazing time. I'm not sophisticated enough to enjoy wines, but this was a day celebrating my mom & she enjoyed everything. Thank you for such a memorable experience.”

“Great food!!”

“Hazy Galaxy is the best beer in Carlisle! The food is limited but there is something for everyone. I suggest the porky cheese it and the blind bonnie!”

“Great night after we parked the Corvette and sped walk to get right in. Food was amazing although it took a bit it was understandable. It was a big rush night with the Corvette Parade and Party in town. We had fish and chips, two different salads and a Rueben. All cooked to perfection. The atmosphere is great and our waitress very friendly. The beer selection is gigantic. Must go back when we are back in Carlisle. Thank you.”

“Perfect spot for the traveling motorcyclist. Beverly & Amanda will absolutely make your night flow with grace. Come in for a beer & you will NOT be disappointed.”

“My high school class had a 50th year reunion event in September at Fiddlers and they did a fantastic job!! We were to be in the pavilion; however, rainy weather forced us indoors. Jennifer, the restaurant manager, went above and beyond to accommodate our large group in one of the banquet rooms and ensured that we were provided the best service possible. The food was awesome and the servers were superb!! Everyone had a great time!! Thank you for all you did to make our reunion a success!! We will be back!!”

“The food is great and 99% of the staff is excellent besides the 2 younger gentlemen that check IDs at the door. They’re absolute scumbags.”

“This place could be so much better if they would get new chairs (they’re all coming apart and wobbly) - the staff is not that friendly - the atmosphere is nothing desirable - the food is good (not great) - it’s dirty esp in the bathrooms - the sink in the ladies room is falling apart and the faucets are coming out of the vanity - I asked for an extra napkin and she brought me the cheapest tiny napkins I’ve ever seen - the guy cooking was not very happy which is not good - no interaction with the customers - the silverware is cheap - honestly if I can find another hibachi grill place I don’t need to go back. They can do so much better.”

“Accidentally ended up here today. Went to go to another place downtown. It now appears so many places are closed on Sunday. Sorry other downtown establishments didn’t get our business. We found our new favorite pizza. Beer was good too. Highly recommend.”

“Ah man! Everything was wonderful. Curried goat, rice and peas, plantains. I should have gotten a to go box for the leftovers, but I ate the whole thing! Plus I tasted my partner's meal too. Cole slaw, mac and cheese and fried chicken. All very good.”

“Great guy and great service! Will be back for another dog in the future. Keep it up!”

“The food is delicious. I especially like the vegetarian momo. The sauce is so good. The staff are always friendly. I am glad they are in Carlisle!😋”

“Great atmosphere, food was delicious. Vegan options, will definitely be going back!”

“Stopped at Redd's today to see how their brisket stacked up. At first I was a little concerned when I pulled up to a storefront on Mainstreet Carlise PA to what looked like an entrance to a breakfast diner but then when you open the door that smoked goodness smacks ya in the face like Mike Tyson in the 90's KAPOWWW! When you get your meet its so juicy you better not be wearing your Sunday best or Jesus or Buddha or whoever will still be smelling ya next week. Stop on down if your in the area or hell drive a couple hours.... what else ya doing”

“I love EVERYTHING at @Napoli Pizza. I just had a Cold Sub (turkey/bacon/provolone) for early dinner and it was exquisite! It was just perfectly made and every element was cool & fresh - down to the danged mayo. 🤌🏾 UNBELIEVABLE. 🙌🏾”

“One of the best burgers anywhere. We always eat here when in Carlisle!”

“A classic college town breakfast place. Good-tasting breakfast options and a lot of them in every imaginable combination with solid service delivered well. But be forewarned: it's cash only. So, come ready. And it closes in the early afternoon. Because it's a breakfast place.”

“clean ,10 to 13 for subs.Subs where very taste 2.50 for slice of pizza .Good service .Will go again.”

“Love the playa bowls, love the location. Playa Bowl is a go to post tough workout day!!”

“yummy ice cream! let's you try before you buy so you know you will like it.”

“Best tacos I ever eat. These are definitely not your Taco Bell tacos. If you want a true Mexican taco this is the place. Made to order, meat was seasoned perfectly. Give them a try you will not be disappointed.”

“A true hidden gem. Probably the best ice cream I’ve ever had, and my toddler (and my husband and I) had such a good time feeding and petting the animals. This place presents a wonderful way to bring awareness to our dairy farmers and we will certainly be back to support as much as we can.”

“My kids enjoyed the gluten free peanut butter and jelly Crepe!”

“Coffee is amazing and food is great as well!”

“I've been going to Nonna Ilva since they were on Hanover Street and I'm so glad they have a sit-down restaurant now. The food is always delicious and you can tell it is made with high quality ingredients. Everyone that works there is always super friendly and even when it's busy orders tend to come out quickly. They also don't rush you out the second you're done making it a great place to meet up with friends and catch up. Overall, Nonna Ilva is easily one of the best restaurants in Carlisle. I can't recommend it enough!”

“Very highly recommend. We were frequent customers while living in Carlisle . Came to the area today and of course had a great meal there again … bento box is amazing”

“I ordered a couple of pizzas today via DoorDash to feed my team. The quality of the pizzas and the flavor was top notch. My only issue was the “large” pizza is tiny. Which normally I would be ok but trying to feed a group at work with those tiny pizzas was a bit rough.”

“I had such a wonderful, unexpected experience at this pizza place! By chance, I met the owners and they invited me and my husband to try their pizza, and it is now definitely my favorite pizza I’ve ever had! The pizza was fresh, flavorful, and every bite showed the care they put into it. The prices were comparable to corporate owned chains but the quality was astronomically better than any other place I’ve been to. Having moved here from the West Coast I have been enjoying the opportunity to try new restaurants especially cuisine not as easy to come by back in our hometown. The owner spun the dough right in front of us, and it was clear how proud he is of his restaurant. He welcomed every customer with genuine warmth, making the atmosphere truly enjoyable. It felt like an authentic Italian experience, full of heart and passion. I can’t wait to go back and I am happy to know they even offer delivery! Looking forward to trying other items on their menu as well!”

“We were there for dinner last night for Mother’s Day and, as always, the food was absolutely amazing! The restaurant was extremely crowded, and those waitresses were HUSTLING all night long trying to keep up with the rush. Honestly, I was shocked to see some people get up and leave before their food came because let me tell you — this place is 100% worth the wait. We stayed until closing and even went back into the kitchen just to personally thank everyone. They told us it was the busiest they’ve ever been, and despite that, they still delivered a phenomenal dining experience. A huge thank you to the entire staff for another incredible Mother’s Day dinner. If you love Italian food, you absolutely must check this place out. ❤️🍝”

“Amazing food, drinks, and atmosphere. One of our regular places to go and our favorite spot in Carlisle.”

“Cornbread Ice Cream has changed my life!!!!”

“90% of the time, the food is great! But on April 16th, 2023, I got a delivery. The Fettuccine Alfredo was great, but the salad was AWFUL! I ordered a Grilled Chocken Salad and it DID NOT have any grilled chicken on it, it had NO croutons, & it had NO cheese on it! It was bland and awful!”

“Authentic food and fresh ingredients ✨ Food was delicious and staff is super friendly! 😊 Will definitely be visiting again soon ❤️ Thank you!”

“Best pizza and sandwiches around! Clean, great service, great food and reasonable prices”

“Ordered take out for 4 adults on Saturday evening. First time we ordered food from this establishment but we checked other reviews and decided to give it a try. . Excellent. We ordered a couple of some evening specials: 1/2 Rack of ribs with chicken and 2 sides; another night special, pork and kraut with mashed as side. I might add if those mashed were not home made, I want the name of them--delicious, others ordered a cheesesteak sub. and the roll was absolutely delicious., with onions and peppers, fries and also another of mozz sticks with marinara, plain cheeseburger and fries. Everything was delicious and order perfect and they said only 15-20 time for pick up. The only thing that could have been better is if the pork and kraut meal and the rib & chicken meal came with dinner rolls or garlic bread. But no biggie. Would highly recommend and the 4 adults who ordered for this meal have all said will definitely go back. Great Job Mays!!!”

“Generous portions (which exceeded the expectation for the price they charged) of excellent quality food, with warm n welcoming staff, and a generally great atmosphere!
What more could you ask for?

I cannot praise and/or recommend this establishment highly enough!

C'mon folks, what are you waiting for? 😍”

“Great service!! Thank you Julie for saving me the 2024 Corvette shirt!! Breakfast and dinner was awesome”

“really good food and wings. good atmosphere. Great bartenders and cook. come and enjoy”

“The crab bisque was outstanding It was a special last night. I recommend it be added to the menu. Or possibly (even better for me) on the menu at the Mill!”

“Tamra approached my mom and I during the free coffee day event, which was also my mom’s first visit to Chick-fil-A. Since we do not eat the meat options here, we typically come for the desserts, fries, and coffee. Tamra was incredibly welcoming, thoughtful, and kind. She even generously honored a large order of fries for us, which we greatly appreciated.

What stood out most was her genuine hospitality. She took the time to check on us, ask how everything was, and thoughtfully explain which menu items might fit our dietary preferences, including options that are halal- or kosher-friendly. Her kindness and attentiveness made my mom’s first experience especially memorable.

Tamra truly represents the spirit of the Carlisle community. Her leadership, warmth, and dedication to customer service are exceptional, and she made us feel valued and welcome from the moment she approached us.”

“I hesitated to order a salad because I've been disappointed ordering them out lately. My salad today was excellent! I got the Cobb Salad with chicken. It was fresh and delicious! I will definitely order it again!”

“Today I visited this amazing coffee shop, the coffee and chai tea is amazing ,the food is made fresh, and delicious, customer service is phenomenal, very friendly, great atmosphere,I highly recommend, this will be my new coffee spot, come out and support this business,u won't be disappointed!!!”

“We had a great experience at Yeti Boba! Such friendly staff, and delicious Boba! 🧋🫶 We can’t wait to go back to try the food and ice cream!”

“The best experience provided by Garret, a Carlisle history lesson combined with awesome samples of great beers and articulated exactly what to expect with each beer and food selection. He knows his stuff! If you like a bit of spicy try the Philly burger! We have never had a burger prepared that way and is the best we have ever had. The Turncoat stout was a complete surprise to this beer snob! Loved it despite it looking like a cloudy IPA. Loved the red coat and peanut butter stout enough to take some home. Thanks to Garrett we will be coming back to visit with friends!”

“You can sample before you try, so not stuck with whole thing you dislike, they have pup cups (ice cream with dog treat on top) and good variety of flavors.”

“Consistent great food and always spot on with our order. Our go to without a doubt in Carlisle for great Chinese food.

..We are sorry for the unnecessary roundabout encroaching on your business. But we still make it a point to continue giving you our business.
Thank you Chen's!”

“Recently ordered a variety of desserts for a dessert bar for a birthday party. Everything was AMAZING. So fresh and delicious. Service was great placing order and upon pickup. We will be ordering again for future events.”

“Definitely my new favorite place to get sushi! The sushi was delicious and the service was so great! Our food came very quickly and the server was very attentive and polite. It was our first time there and she explained the menu very patiently to us. As we came in and left, all the staff greeted us and you don’t get that experience very often in most restaurants. The restaurant was also very clean. All the sushi rolls we ordered were delicious and the mango mochi was a great dessert to finish with. Highly recommend it to anyone that loves good sushi and good service!”

“The shakes are out of this world”

“Amazing Beautiful work!!!! She delivered cupcakes for my daughter’s birthday. Each cupcake was a work of art. She made the occasion so special.”

“Great coffee and even better baristas!”

“You can't go wrong visiting this Rita's. The owner truly cares about their staff, the product they put out and how they really contribute to their community! Thanks for everything Rita!”

“Fell in love with the focaccia and grabbed a jalapeño cheddar sourdough as well. This is the best bread I’ve ever had!!!”

“Food has always been outstanding!”

“This could be the best Italian sub in Carlisle with the quality of meats that they use. The only thing that's holding it back from being the best is the bread. They need to either make fresh bread or use Amoroso's or Liscio's rolls.”

“We were a little nervous driving in not knowing if it would be weird to stop in for food and boy were we happy we went! The pickleback wings are phenomenal and Friday was $1 wings all day. All of the food and dressings were fresh and craft. Friendly, attentive service and great prices. Make the stop off the turnpike. You won’t regret it!”

“The quality of staff and food is great! For years, this was our go-to place. It had gone downhill a bit and we took a break. But I heard it was excellent again under new management, and we gave it another try. Very glad we did. Service is great! My hubby says his salmon is always perfect, and I usually get the scallops. They never disappoint! Very glad to be enjoying this place again.”

“Super quick service, plenty of refills on my coffee, friendly staff 💜💜💜 Winnie was awesome, great sense of humor too 💜”

“Picked up a call in order for lunch. Nice atmosphere. Clean looking restaurant. Friendly service. Pizza was freshly made and just came out of the oven. I didn't get to spend a whole lot of time there but I liked what I saw and plan on returning to check out some of the other items available Al's.”

“I know Hardee's in New Ulm MN has had some issues, but I went there today and was more than impressed! there were at least four people working there and they were so friendly and the food came really fast. it was fresh and hot and delicious! I can't wait to go there again, it looks like they have really pulled it together!”

“Honestly, this is one of the best bars around. Great atmosphere, good vibes, and excellent service. I especially want to give a shoutout to the gentleman (soccter) working the day shift. He’s always professional, friendly, and treats customers with respect. You can tell he genuinely cares about his job and goes above and beyond to make everyone feel welcome. Big respect to him. If you’re looking for a great bar with amazing service, this is definitely the place to be.”

“Apple was a great server the food was excellent”

“So, we didn’t eat here, but we were pulled over next to the restaurant with a flat tire today (6/30) that turned into more trouble. Anyway, we had our dog with us and employee (I wish I had gotten his name) brought over a bowl, a large water with ice, and some dog biscuits for her, without us asking. We had supplies for her, but what if we didn’t, ya know? It was so incredibly thoughtful of them to do that! They didn’t have to and could’ve ignored the hot dog outside! Thank you guys!”

“Freaking delicious every single time.”

“Stopped by after work for food and I am glad I did. I got a modified veggie delight. Heli was my sandwich artist and put together a wondeful sub. I had a great time discussing life and work. The only thing was the cost of the meal. It landed at $20. A bit sticker shock, but it is almost 2037. I will return becasue the staff and service was great.”

“Stopped in Sunday after church. Parking lot was full but available seating inside. Really like the bright, open atmosphere and all the windows. Orders taken and food arrived promptly. The writer had the western omelet with home fries and toast. All of us were happy with our meals. We will be returning!”

“I had the Lentil Soup and Chicken Shawarma Wrap, both were delicious. I will be back soon.”

“Excellent Reuben Sandwich. [Original] Excellent Reuben Sandwich.”

“It's definitely convenient for when I'm chilling at my buddy house. I believe they have those slot machine in the back u can win money on. You know candy, chips, soda an so forth.”

“Tanker, delivered chocolate.
Arrived the day before my appointment. Parked on street, walked to receiving and checked in. Was told they would call when they were ready for delivery. Did not receive a call. Went back to receiving 1 hour before appointment to check on status, was told they were ready. Backed into bay, pumped out the load. When it is complete, go tell them, they will shut their valve and get paperwork completed. Staff was professional but not proactive in any way, if you have questions, don't delay, go to receiving. See pictures for directions information.”

“Food is always amazing! Never been disappointed..quality/tasty and very inexpensive.everytime i come to my oc i can't wait to get food!! Keep up the amazing work!!!”

“One of the best Chinese restaurants I've been. The food was delicious 😋 I indulged the variety of seafood. The place is clean. The staff was very attentive and friendly. I would recommend this place without a doubt. Overall, everything was perfect!Thank you for the great experience for our first time in the area.”

“My husband asked for local recommendations for Chinese food and this location came up. He called me while eating his meal and kept saying everything was so delicious and fresh. Great experience all the way from California!”

“Best pizza in town by far!!”

“Very nice friendly people. Food is good and nice portion. Tasty and they open late night. Thank you”

“Hasn't been this good for awhile. Im always happy with the service. Jen is awesome. We always seem to get her when we go in. She is very friendly and makes sure everything is on time and right. But the did was exceptional tonight. I had the hamburger with endless fries and coconut shrimp. It was perfect. And you can't beat the price.”

“Just spent Christmas dinner here. Kimberly was a phenomenal waitress!! felt right at home.”

“Like a lot of people I’m grateful for such a convenient location. If you stick to the menu’s greatest hits, quality is fine. But their iced tea tastes stale even at 8:30 am - not sure they’re thoroughly cleaning that carafe. No complaints about service, they’re not super warm but they get the job done efficiently.”

“This place is soooo good! Their food is always fresh and cooked to perfection!! The food is always prepared quickly and ready in time not to mention it stays piping hot from the time you pick it up until you get back. I’ve never had anything get cold from there! They are very friendly as well. Definitely will be a repeat customer and pass on the details to others!”

“fan Fn -tastic spot. if you know you know ❤️ Love the atmosphere will be back. support local.”

“Alicia was our server and she was amazing !!”

“Great job with service and food for group of 25! Well done!”

“We always have a really good experience at this Applebee's. Their staff is friendly and welcoming, the food is usually good and consistent, and if there has ever been an issue, they are happy to fix it right away.”

“The food here is always amazing, and the guy who works there is so sweet. Sometimes it takes a while to prepare, but it's just him and I know he's doing his best. I'd definitely recommend to anyone who likes Chinese food, my favorite is the chicken and broccoli personally.”

“The food was great. It was fresh and the chicken pieces were big. The biscuits were amazing. Unfortunately at the time I was there, they didn’t have Cajun rice so I went with the fries.”

“We have loved this Starbucks mostly because of the employees. Every time we have gone there, the customer service is fantastic and they are so kind and easy to work with. I have my same grievance that I have with every Starbucks which is that I believe the coffee and food is way overpriced. I usually only go to Starbucks when I have a gift card because I don’t feel good about spending so much money on something that isn’t that great and is a huge chain. I’d rather spend the same amount at a local coffee shop that has far better coffee and bakery items.”

“The staff was great. Manager came back to our table and took our orders . So sweet. I go to this Arby's every Sat. for lunch!”

“On May 6th, Firehouse Subs gave away a feee sandwich for anyone named a derivative of Michael. What they don’t tell you until you are at the register is that you have to pay for it unless you give them a 5 star review and 5s for Food, Service, and Atmosphere. And yes, they watch you so the review on your phone. I would have given them 5 stars if they had just asked instead. I suspect that the average rating of this restaurant will jump up today from all the Mike’s giving their reviews to get a free sandwich.

Again, the food was really good, the service was fast and friendly (the line was long but moved quickly), and the restaurant was clean. So yes, I would give them 5 stars in each category. I just find this practice to be deceptive and a bit unethical.”

“Shout out to the two boys working on Sunday (Mother's day) ya'll were packed. those two held it together and did the best they could! Shame on the manager for only having two people working on a day like that.”

“Friendly service. Good food but was a little slow about getting the check to us and it was not a time of day that was a rush on”

“This was my first time eating there.. We ordered tacos and burritos. The food was delicious. We will definitely be back.”
