Of course the coffee is great, the staff is wonderful, and the ambiance is homey and welcoming! There are many rotating choices of treats, sandwiches, and salads! The kitchen is quick and my friends and I have always enjoyed our selections. There is ample parking out front and even some secret spots in the back if you can get them. Front and rear entrances offer great access. Customers include an eclectic crowd of locals and visitors, young and old, moms and babies, friends and families, singles and groups, and even a few old timers! The store is family owned and the personal touch shines through in everything they do! There's lots of seating downstairs and up, the ordering line moves quickly, and I've even shared a table during the busiest times. Carnegie Coffee opens early and is open through the day. It is centrally located in the mix of restaurants and shops that comprise Carnegie's Main Street and downtown. This is a great place to take a break in historic Carnegie Borough!“

“I wasn't able to cook Christmas dinner. We were calling every place on Christmas day. Manny's was the only one to answer. Sam was so sweet. Even though they weren't doing orders to go or anything like that I think he really felt how much I needed this. Not just the food but a win you know. He so incredibly kind to me. We've never ate there. So, I hung up looked up the menu and called back with our order which was a big one. Again he was awesome answering questions about the food as I placed the order. Explained it would take a little bit since it was just him cooking it. I honestly didn't care how long it took as long as the food tasted half way decent. When my hubby and Mom went to get it he told them he wasn't able to make my tuna melt and what would I like in place of it. So hubby got me a hot sausage.I just want everyone to know how incredibly kind Sam was to me on this Christmas day. Even though he wasn't suppose to to do a to go order he understood my need. And my both my hubby and mom said when they went to pick the food up he was extremely kind. They also said the bar was a nice looking place. So, me and the hubby will be coming there soon,lol. Plus, the food was absolutely incredible!!! All 6 of us were very much satisfied.Thank you Sam from the bottom of my heart for what you did for me and my family today when I couldn't. “If you like a hometown, locally owned restaurant feel, this is a great place to visit. It has a bit of a Rustic / Grandma's kitchen vibe. Food is excellent! Omelettes are in my opinion stellar, with the proper amount of all ingredients. Bacon is awesome, thin and crispy, just how I like it! Pancakes are also excellent and super tasty. Overeasy eggs are also cooked perfectly. Carry and Barb are 2 of the best breakfast chefs I have had out, period.. As of 2023 I'm 50 years old so have had breakfast a ton of places locally and nationally. I live about 3 miles away from the restaurant location so since I discovered it I try to stop once or twice a week. Definitely one of Pittsburgh's hidden local neighborhood gems. It is one of those small local places where if you know how good it is, you KNOW, and remember....“

“I’ve gotten the winter melon drink and it was really good! It tasted a lot like the trick cereal which reminds me a lot of my childhood. The guy that was making the drinks worked so hard, however I do wish that there were more workers especially so that more orders could go out to the customers. It truly feels like the store takes you somewhere else, and boy does that biscuit sandwich take your breath somewhere else too! “Got a 412 with vanilla syrup and a blueberry muffin. ? Both of the guys behind the counter were super nice. Someone ahead of us forgot their phone, and the Barista went running out and chased down the guy to give it back. That's above and beyond to me. Many people would just stow it for when the person came back. The 412 was delicious, and the muffin he gave me actually wound up being chocolate, but I didn't realize till I got to my car. It was still awesome and fresh. I'm not saying don't go to Starbucks across the street, but local is Thank you!!“

“That you go! Lots of delicious food, the selection of beans is fantastic and they are sold in bulk weight. The store is immaculate, and one of my favorite things is the double door system at the entrance which deters insects, varmints, and unsanitary conditions that come along with those. Oh, you can also watch the pitas being made through the glass wall as they come off the conveyor and get ready to come to your house.“

I tried their hot cocoa, brownie, and chocolate chip cookie.Their desserts seem to be made in house. The brownie varieties vary from day to day, and this time, it was just a chocolate frosted one with sprinkles. The brownie had tons of pieces of chocolate in it, and the frosting was tasty as well. A tad dry, but still good.The chocolate chip cookie was only $1! What an amazing price and deal. It was very tasty as well, also having big chunks of chocolate in it. I’d definitely recommend.The hot cocoa was quite milky and honestly didn’t have much flavor. I was hoping for a chocolatey flavor, but it wasn’t there. Great coffee and food, and MUCH more affordable than expected. I parked in one of the dedicated for spots for free, then got a 12oz drip coffee with a delicious breakfast sandwich, all for less than $6. Can't wait to try out more on their menu! To top it off, the WiFi is strong for working or studying, and there are clean restrooms on-site. Happy I discovered this place!Parking: A few free spots are located next to the shop. Street parking is free in the permit parking zones according to the hours on the signs. Otherwise, paid parking can be found in the area.“

“I've eaten at Delaney's just one other time and was very happy with the food. I stopped in today for a coffee and treat. I got the almond croissant but was prepared to be disappointed. Too often, when I've purchased almond croissants elsewhere, I find that there isn't enough almond filling.Well, let me just say that I was not disappointed today! The filling went almost to the very end on both sides of the croissant and there was plenty spread all throughout. The croissant is flaky but I wouldn't have cared if it had the density of a bagel. The filling did it for me.Good coffee, service felt a smidgeon slow but it i was in and out in less than 10 minutes so, that was just me. And, the people at the counter were just lovely-- very polite, professional, and pleasant.I would definitely recommend Delaney's for coffee and a treat to start the day. Or for lunch.“

The owner was taking an order at the counter but greeted me and helped me as soon as he finished with them. He said it would be a 20 minute wait as items are made fresh. My food came out within the promised timeframe. The honey hot chicken sandwich and fries smelled so good, I couldn’t wait to get home. After a 30 minute drive home, the food was still hot and tasted way better than I expected after transport. “My first trip to Pittsburgh and looking for breakfast I come upon this little cafe On Forbes Ave. A charming little nook open Monday-Friday and only for breakfast and lunch. They only accept cash so have some handy or use the ATM that is will be directly behind you when placing your order. The nicest, friendliest staff and great food. For the breakfast and lunch rush the have an upstairs area otherwise you are on the main floor. Prices are very reasonable as they cater to their many regulars at the courthouse and nearby businesses ( this means you won't get shafted by tourist prices). I opted for the Western Omelette with potatoes, toast, and tea that cost $10.95 and worth every penny. Definitely making the stop on any return trips.“

“As I've posted before, I'm a bit of a coffee snob and I prefer local, non-corporate coffee. I also like places with personality, great customer service and, of course, great coffee. Cafe cravings had it all. It's old school -- and seems to attract people from all walks of life. There was a line out the door and only two workers but they were hustling while simultaneously bantering with the locals and maintaining a great attitude. We ordered breakfast sandwiches and an americano, which were as tasty as we'd have hoped, but the 5 star review has far more to do with the authenticity of this neighborhood gem. I look forward to my next visit.“
